The fender amps really good tried one out last week.... But it really depends on the the kind of music u play... metal and hard rock players generally prefer solid state amps... however if ur into smooth and warm tones (add a fuzz pedal to it and u could be the next hendrix provided u have the skill that is)... there nothing to beat a valve amp...

I mainly play Thin Lizzy but i'm sure a distortion pedal will help if i need it
