Playtest Feedback Wanted!
Playtest Feedback Wanted!
from the front page
As ever, after a massive week of news and views, WENB are collating feedback on the playtest reports that have launched.
We would to find out what the fans think of how things are progressing (screens and playtest reports you've read), and what you would like to see next from Konami. You'll find the related thread in the offical feedback section, by clicking here.
Thanks for your help!

Re: Playtest Feedback Wanted!
It all sounds great so far
Really impressed with the screen shots, especially the wide cam one. The lighting effects are awesome.
The gameplay sounds like its coming along nicely too
Next thing i'd like to see is the game in action, some gameplay. Even a small amount will do, just to see the animations in action. As well as some news regarding Edit Mode and Master League

Yeh, for me more of that Messi video they showed at developer studio tour:
But more of that showing other animations.
Also, like you say, load info on game modes.

Re: Playtest Feedback Wanted!
Like Danny said it's all going very well
I was impressed by graphics and news
To be honest i expected something worse from playtests, but they are all positive, good
I would like to see some Master League screens, to show some of the new elements Konami talked about in press releases
But the most important thing for me, it's gameplay video, even a 10 sec gameplay video that shows motion captured animations.

Re: Playtest Feedback Wanted!
So far so good from what i have seen. Its looking very nice indeed and by the sounds of it, the gameplay is coming along nicely at a steady pace. Of course its early days with regards to how it is playing at the monent but from whats been said, its going in the right direction and there is still alot of work to be done so it will only get better.
The studio tour video really did make me sit up and pay attention and im sure others agree with that. The video showed the difference with the way the series is going this year compared to the last two years or so as before, that sort of tour would not of happened but its clear they want to show the fans whats what at the moment in temrs of the functions of PES 2010.
All in all, im very happy and fingers crossed, the extra time spent on the game, will bring back the king of football to the console market

Re: Playtest Feedback Wanted!
I'm also impressed with the info do far. Seems it's going in the right direction.
What I would like to see, that they implement till the final product are the following:
Manual pass with d-pad and x and triangle (and gauge). More manual shooting and more freedom to decide, which type of shot to use, I mean R2 controlled shot, lob, simple shot etc..
please fix the nets, it's nice, that they have no sandbags, but the shape is not realistic, also not the animation..
please bring back advantage rule, COIN TOSS, hand-ball, and more variety to diving, more total control, less context sensitive moves...
please make the free kicks harder for player and AI too. In Pes 2008, 2009 AI, almost every time scored with freekicks.. (I scored 2 free kick goals in my first ever pes 2009 game with Dani Alves, while scorning only one in PES 6 in a year
Ok, I'm bad at free kicks..)
fix referees, FATIGUE system should be changed too, player are in better condition nowadays (pes 5,6 had perfect fatigue system).
Add realistic league structures, add more variety to injuries...
Keep up the good work KONAMI, and thanks for your effort..
PS: Read my replays thread..

Re: Playtest Feedback Wanted!
One of my biggest concern is the Master League. I would like to get more information one they have improved/changed from last year. Wait...since they first implemanted it. From the first time Master League was first placed in the game, they never changed much. So im really worried about this years PES Master League. It was always the selling point for me ever since i played the first time. Hope they clarify it as much as possible.

Sounds mostly good .
good to see variety in nets , but the shape needs a freshening up.
Future
GAMEPLAY with new animations video. Actually running the game in wide cam.

dude, appreciate your feedback, but this isn't a wish list thread for what you want in the game. Its your feedback on what you heard and read from the playtest, and what you want to see Konami release next regarding info.
Thanks.

Re: Playtest Feedback Wanted!
Sebass's focus on player individuality and team individuality through sliders and the card system will build on what pes was famed for (the uniqueness of each player/ individuality) and take it the game to a more tactical level the series has been crying out for. Hopefully this combined with new and unique animations (Henry's placement shot) will be the key to pes bettering fifa.
One thing that pleased me was the importance of walking pace football over all out sprinting with the ball. Nowadays especially in the Italian and spanish leagues and in particular international football you see compact teams playing slow build up play at walking pace as possession is key to winning a match.
Konami have clearly listened to the fans and hopefully will continue to do so as there are always elements in even the best pes games that aren't perfect and need improving and the fan's voices are the people to listen to as we want this game to succeed.
Regarding graphics the graphics department has clearly doe an amazing job. Hopefully they have taken as much care with average players as they have with the likes of messi, xavi etc. The grass also looks much better with a much softer feel, more like grass not astro-turf. The lighting system has added great realism and the facial textures have lost the waxy look of the players of pes 2009.
best factors: sliders and card system, slower walking pace football and the amazing graphics.
areas to improve: player models, length of shorts, as Suff said a similar system to the challenge system of fifa (where players tussel to win headers) should be implemented.
I want to see konami release a gameplay vid showing the effectiveness of the sliders system as well as seeing the new animations of players like messi close up.

Re: Playtest Feedback Wanted!
My feedback:
Disappointments:
- The robotic/same animations... haven't changed yet. (including the "I'm about to crap" stand compared to FIFA's more natural upright standing posture)
- No customizable camera angles... (zoom, height, panning)
- Same presentation and replay angles...etc.
Good news:
- Slower, simulation like pace (despite of the horror speed on the 2nd screen... let's hope it is indeed sped up for debugging)
- Cards and Sliders.... (amazing)

Re: Playtest Feedback Wanted!
As of what we have seen you cant feel nothing but positive this year. the graphics are top notch i like the new team stratagy and player stratagy system. card system looks very good aswell this will help bring out player individuality more. been told online should be fixed aswell
.
only down side for me is the net shape need 2 be tightend up to lose.
after we see the animations and how it moves then we can really start to judge it.

Re: Playtest Feedback Wanted!
What I think about things sofar:
-I am very impressed by the card system and the slider-system
In particular the effects of the slider-system, making defending and attacking more balanced is good news.
-From what I have heared the animations are great, but I wait for the test when mo-cap is done.
-The screenshots are great, especially about the player faces.
-It is good to know that the pace of the game is drasticly changed towards a real simulation, rather than an arcade-game.
-Also, thanks for the video in the Konami studio. It was a big plus and hopefully we get more of the same to see.
What I like to see next from Konami
-First of all I like to get more and specific info about On - Line mode(s). Is there some similar thing like FIFA's clubs? How many people can play at the same time in a game? Things like that.
-Another thing I like to see is if there is something new in the control of the players, using the gamepad. I like to know howmuch direction-control there is: 8 directions? 16 directions? I know there is no 360 degrees control, but to know how many directions could hint towards the feeling of the game when playing.
-I like to see an extensive Master-League preview. Apart from what we already know about the CL and Europe-league.
- A gameplay video would be nice!

Re: Playtest Feedback Wanted!
Really impressed with all the info and screenshots that have come out recently.
Playtests were obviously a great idea, especially to include the fansites and not just media. The new tactics and player cards look like they are going to add a great layer of control, realism and depth over the existing system, this is something that has excited me the most. The screenshots all look mighty impressive with special kudos to the player faces and new lighting system. Obviously there are concerns talked about by Adam and Suff, animations, goalkeepers ect, so as long as things like that get worked on Konami are certainly moving in the right direction.
Like Danny said, a video of gameplay is a must, but only when they can show of new animations. The last thing the community wants to see is a video that makes people instantly moan about last years movements. Night time screenshots would be appreciated as would different teams, players and stadiums being shown off. Updates on Master league, edit mode, BAL, Champions League, Online. Also wouldnt mind a release date lol.
Really impressed with what Konami have shown so far this year, both in game and all the PR stuff (with the exception of the first trailer). Looks like a good year for PES fans, don't let us down Konami!

Re: Playtest Feedback Wanted!
I am very excited about PES 2010, and extremely pleased with the information released so far. I am also glad Konami didn't start from scratch nor cannibalize PES 2009, but instead decided to build on and improve what was already a rock solid foundation. Although a lot of details about the game have yet to be disclosed, the playtest reviews this week were very positive on the whole, and have given us an insight into Konami's new and improved modas operandi concerning PES. In the long run, PES 2010 will be a better game due to the feedback received from the playtests, which should continue to be an integral part of the PES development process, this year and beyond. In the short run, I'm looking forward to seeing/hearing about the animations, master league improvements, become a legend Improvements, as well as gameplay videos.
Keep up the good work Konami.

Re: Playtest Feedback Wanted!
Great work so far from Konami. Obviously hoping for some gameplay footage. Hope you can also explain how this 'trigger runs' during setplays will go about. Some news on other game modes will also be appreciated. Thanks for your time. (Hope the player shorts will be a bit shorter and less baggy in the final game
)

Hi, from what i have read so far has been very good. Tactical sliders and cards which sound great, the graphics look really good.
All i need now is proof of more animations and some assurance over gameplay speed via video footage.
The game seems to be shaping up really well.
well done knoami
