For Me They Do;

If I Try To Sprint My Fastest In My World Cups; A Different Story...Heavier Boot...Heavier/Thicker Material.

it is true i find Vapors (thats the proper name not mis-spelt ;)) easier to run in which is why you dont see CB's wearing Vapors and only wingers and Striker :D

I'm Not Sure Why I Misspelt Vapors...Anyhow; Exactly...CB's For Example Will Wear World Cups Due To Protection..
Strikers/Wingers Wear Vapors Due To The Lightness Of Them & Ease To Glide

A few white boots.....I've never bought a pair of white boots. I just couldn't. I can't see myself wearing any other colour apart from black. It's not that I don't think they're nice, it's just..............

I'm not sure why I got those boots :?

I just thought they were nice, for a striker - horrible boots...

My vapors are about 100g, they are so light :D

I use dif boots for dif position
GK - Silver Puma - Pretty heavy and can get loads of power
DEF - White/Red Puma - Again good for power but lighter then the others and easy to move in
MID - Good for speed and pretty heavyish
FWD - Nike quite light and i seem to be able to get off more accurate shots with them.

I realy don't believe that a position defines the boots you were. I've always worn boots that were comfortable, not if there were a few grams lighter, or if they have grip attached onto it. I dont believe how those little things can make a difference to your game. If you work on your game, the boots don't matter.

Yeah true.
But some boots are perfict for postions
As Mac and Tom said:- Nike/Striker There Light and you need speed, I find them accurate too.
Adidas:- Got Midish weight, not design , good for passing.
Puma/Adidas:- Heavyish, can easly get power into clearances.

Do you not find that odd though? How can one boot be so drastically different from the other?
