Hopefully what they’ll do is use support controls first of all then getting into the full freedom and trying it out in training mode, because once you do put the extra effort in it’s immensely rewarding.”

PES 2013 is scheduled for a October 2 release

Support is waning.
Sacking Seabass doesn't look to have been the smartest decision in retrospect.

Sorry for my bad English......Im from Newry

HATE the magic boot idea, shocking decision. Playing the FIFA13 demo made me realize how good the PES gameplay is

True - hopefully we don't have a Europe first UK last again like last year.
if Konami go down this route please have to good sense to have a worldwide start date for MLO (let everybody start at the same time....please) this is quite crucial for this particular online gamemode

Linking that with sales data, I'd say it means more people playing the game, less people talking about it.

Sorry Adam, i didn't mean i am happy to hear that support for the Pes series is waning, i thought the post meant player support (eg auto clearance and auto tacking) was waning.

Hope you get me buddy

Well it appears if it's an october release then any hopes of Pro Evo comming out before FIFA are dashed.

FIFA 13,release dates: Sept. 25th in North America, Sept. 28th in Europe!

Supernova wrote:I'm pretty sure CVG is referring to the first touch control feature. In Fifa 12, everyone took perfect first touches, even if it was a league 2 defender receiving a super fast 30 yard cross. In Fifa 13, it depends on the player's skill , speed and height of the ball, whether the player is under pressure.

So no, CVG aren't suggesting all players played the same in Fifa 12, just their first touch. As for the title, I suppose they're trying to suggest that in PES 13, all players still take exactly the same perfect first touch
'innovation' could be a dig at Jon Murphy too, when he said Fifa has been copying PES

And you can't really bash CVG for fifa fanboying considering they gave a very positive impression for PES anyway http://m.computerandvideogames.com/3495 ... oty-crown/

Please? PES got stat depending ball control since ages. Even in PES 2012 each player have a different ball control ability. Somehow they should've, in just 1 year, turned PES into a FIFAesque mess where every player control the ball in the same way. Even if PES 2013 have, as a strenght, the enhanced individuality.
So, exactly, how can PES players "still take exactly the same perfect touch"? We're talking about PES 13, not fifa 12.
It's not about being negative about PES. I think that every year it's getting harder for Pro-FIFA press to be able to talk shit about the game. It's about press that take few old and copied features and make them seem a revolution.
Seriously, stat depending first touch is a basic feature for a simulation. PES got it for ages. FIFA 12 don't have it. Yet, FIFA 12 was portrayed as the best simulation ever. FIFA 12 also lacks inertia. Here's an example:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFzEsU07QC0

Yet' all the press describe it as pure a football simulation. The title there, to me, is a clear fanboyesque attempt to let people think that stat-depending first touch is a revolution, and that PES don't have it. Which is false. Everyone who played PES, every PES, a bit, knows that. We're at a point where pro-FIFA press is not just exaggerating FIFA features, but also taking away features that PES got since the PSX era.

It's getting ridiculous. Reading someone who writes that in PES 13 players will have "all the same perfect first touch", when PES has been the only game with stat+situation dependant first touch since ages (go on and try to control the ball perfectly with every player and in every situation in PES 2011 or 2012) is so laughable that i can't believe it. You must be Jocking.
And what about the "dig at Jon Murphy"... Yes, FIFA is copying PES. Why? Here are examples:

FIFA NG copied the whole gameplay from old PES games. It's universally known.
PES 2011 ---> hold-up play, you can defend cointaining the attacker instead of just tackling him
FIFA 12 ---> tactical defending, you can defend containing the attacker instead of just tackling him
PES 2012 ---> active AI, overlapping runs, diagonal runs, dummy runs.
FIFA 13 ---> attacking AI, diagonal runs, even the same video with arrows showing how the new AI moves
PES, since ages ---> stat+ situation depending first touch
FIFA 13 ---> stat+ situation depending first touch

Luckily, next year they'll get new tech and will be able to fully express their concept of football simulation. Then EA could copy their ideas the following year, they will always be 1 step behind without the technical gap that afflicted PES in this generation.

Just had to tweet this coz its such an excellent point. Sorry for plagiarism Pando

It isnt just the big features they pinch.

Everyone one was praising FIFA last year for the drop ball, there was youtube vids showing it off and all sorts.
Shame PES had this in PES 5.

As mentioned, all these little things are removed in this gen ver of PES for what reason nobody knows and then some other title imPlemented it and they call it innovation... Lol

And now if Pes puts the drop ball back in they will get accused of copying other titles! Its mindbending. But us Pes fans know ourselves Pes had it all first and that is what really counts.
