PES 2013 Release Date (Mid AUG)??
I was just checking my PES 2013 Xbox 360 preorder on Tesco Entertainment and read this message regarding the game dispatch saying : " estimated dispatch after 6 weeks from 26 Jun 2012" does this mean we could be getting the full game in mid AUGUST, please be true.
because if it was based on normal PES release date, the estimation would have been more than two months but i have a strong believe that its not a typing mistakes.

Spent the past 2 nights on the phone to Sony trying to get my 4th replacement Gratis from Sony, hopefully this will be resolved by demo launch otherwise I will be screwing, what has happened to consoles this gen?!
On a positive note, I started new contract in a different office Monday, guess what they have in the break room..............
a PS1
two controllers

break times are pretty fun in a retro way, still plays a cracking game of football. The funny thing is that some of the young side-parting metrosexual-Bieber wannabee FIFA boys keep saying "I can't believe I never played this" ...
Pro Evo 2 was one of the best, if not THE best one for me on the old gen. It's still a classic

Sounds far to good to be true.
I've always wondered why games come out after August though, surely you would think that releasing during first few weeks of the season would make sense from a commercial perspective? I can understand non-online past gen version waiting for close of transfer window etc but with squad updates possible - why wait?

i think it's impossible .
Konami plans to release two demo , one end of July , they wait feedback (maybe 2 weeks) , make demo n°2 (mid August) playable at Gamescom (22) and release it earlier in September for all , and they wait feedback again (2 weeks) and fix and release full game mid Spetember

Re: PES2013 NEWS, DISCUSSION, VIDEOS & SCREENS (Part 7)
I having been playing PES 2012 online on and off this year as it has improved, but it isn't a mode that can be played all the time as it does have some major flaws.
I decided to play yesterday online for a change to see if I could play some good 1v1 matches as I hadn't played in a while and to my worst nightmare, I played three people and they all used and manipulative the flaws to the max last night to the stage that I has terribly annoyed and angry that this problems haven't been address by Konami at all this year. The problems where that one user purposely lag the ENTIRE match, but only when I got the ball in dangerous areas I could hardly play at all, but yet some how the match didn't disconnect and kept going and I was just astonished to see that someone would not only cheat like this, but worse of all he is getting away with it and hasn't been punished or removed online as this is one of the main reasons why online is so plagued this year and hasn't been enjoyable. Also, the other two matches I played online were against complete speed merchants and they both played with Barca and just kicked the ball down the wings and ran with Sanchez,Messi,Pedro and just took full advantage of this and just kept doing it all game and there was nothing I could really do about it.
I have heard that Konami are putting a plan in motion for PES 2013 to deal with cheaters, but this really is ridiculous that this is still happening and has been dealt with MUCH SOONER, but I hope this will try and solve the problem as it really is destroying mine and many others users online experienced. Also, I hope the new defensive system sorts out speed merchants and completely removes this issue from the game.

I stopped playing altogether because of the same issues. It was getting worse and worse everyday. To a point where it was getting ridiculous...
I don't understand how some people's brain can't understand the simple concept that cheating doesn't equate to winning. On the contrary, the second they decide to cheat they have already lost, no matter what the final score...
As cheating brands one automatically as a loser, it is beyond me why so many resort to it...
And Konami can't just wash their hands of the problem. Ultimately they are the ones will suffer the most, as the longer these situations occur, the greater the risk of alienating the most loyal fans (their best customers). They should be the first to put measures in place to eradicate this plague. With zero tolerance measures or 3-strikes-equals-a-ban or whatever but they have to act. And another thing. The measures and consequences should be fully known. All the actions they take should be disclosed. And the names of the punished should be public. All of that would make them accountable and would make them (and the rest of us) think twice before embarking in any wrong doing...
One of the times I complained of such a behaviour they replied that they could not tell me if the guy was punished and (if any) what the punishment was... In that moment I understood why some of the cheaters reply, when confronted, laughing: "Konami won't do anything...". Who ever heard of "prevention through obscurantism" or even "intervention through obscurantism"?! If nobody knows there are consequences how does it serve as a deterrent? If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
Imagine a society where all committed crimes would meet a wall of silence and secrecy. They could be dealt with or not. No one would ever know... How long would it take for the feeling of impunity to spread until total chaos, barbarism and anarchy took over? Why is it that in most (democratic) countries legal results are public domain? The sentences have to be public to serve their full purpose. More than just provide justice for the wronged and correction/punishment for the found guilty it also serves an equal important purpose: it serves as a stern warning for the ones who would eventually consider repeating the same offence... Both things are important. Remove part of it and the system would not work at all...
This stopped me from playing the game altogether online. It drained my will to play the game online in the same way the cheating AI stopped me from playing the game offline... I have high hopes for PES 2013... Because for the first times in many years I can't play this game so far from the next one. And I hate it...
Peace

I'm totally with you on this one.
Beside the GUI/user experience (which I think totally sucks) the online system needs to improve in a way that makes it easier to connect with people you like and identify the "good gamers".
I am thinking of: groups, recommendations/invites, votes/flags.
Konami won't win this battle alone.

I agree. A reputation-based system is a good way to separate the desirable from the undesirable behaviour. I think they made an attempt this year but made (at least 2) mistakes with it:
#1 - One could only upvote someone. So if a guy played 1000 games and cheated half of them he could have 500 good votes. Need I say more?
#2 - How were our votes being used? What purpose did they serve? That is what I referred as "prevention/intervention through obscurantism". People would feel more inclined to vote (up or down) if they felt it had an impact. Causality: our action has an effect. Show what it is!
Another example of how useless this years vote system is. After I understood the system I decided not to (up)vote anyone, as a conscious decision. Why should I use a system which is broken by design? If were to use it it would give konami the (very wrong) impression: "it should be working as people are using it..." Many a designer will tell you how much of a non sequitur/fallacy that is. But. I ended up upvoting some guys. Why? Because of another design flaw! The option to up-vote was the first (WTF?!?) and in a hurried/altered state after one more game enduring a cheater I used to click the first thing just to end the %*&$ing game once and for all! So, I ended up up-voting the exact same guys who deserved being down-voted!!! Brilliant! If I ever teach a class about design I will use this example of how NOT to do it!!!
Rant over.
Peace

Re: PES2013 NEWS, DISCUSSION, VIDEOS & SCREENS (Part 7)
I've said a few times that the problem with players abusing ivy league clubs could be solved by using a Create A Club MLO. In other words, you don't play as teams present in the game but create a team of your own. As for the player, again, you don't play with world class players but draft/buy Master League default type players to build a squad and start your way up the top.
DLC's would be used to introduce a new batch of default players on the "market" and clubs/players would compete to acquire their favorites. Loands, transfers, all of it could be done between clubs/players as it is in real life. All the transfers would be announced via NEWSLETTER to all players as they go online.
I would introduce leagues with 10 to 20 clubs. Once you join a league, you have to play home and away matches with every team in the league before it's over. Players would have the ability to invite others to play their matches and/or simply play one match after another.
Players who are inactive in the league for 3+ days would receive an automatic 3-0 defeat from the challenger/invitee. Once the cycle of 38 games is done, league gets a winner and players are free to either restart with the same batch of teams, or leave for another league opening room for others.
Top two teams from each league would participate in a Konami sponsored competition, the UEFA CL style tournament.
Clubs could trade players regardless of the league they're in.
To prevent cheaters, I'd include a replay option for entire matches so that a player filing a complaint can record a 30 seconds long video of the cheat in question and submit it to the admins. The penalties would be either loose of points and goals scored in a given match or ban from the league and all other leagues. Match quitters would suffer a 3-0 defeat, if and only if the score was under 3-0. If the score was above, the quitter would be punished with loss of points and the score that was on the scoreboard at the time of quitting would go to the winner.
Meh, I have a bunch of ideas for online aspect even though I'm not playing it, but it would involve active Konami's participation.

Rant over.
Peace
Pes problems online would mostly be eradicated by the user but so many just want to win even if its by cheating or using the games flaws. The problem is rife in Fifa as well were you get somone holding the 2nd man pressure from kick off and constantly going for the overpowered flair shot and the simple pass across the net at the last minute for an easy goal against your keeper (Why not just take the shot against the keeper). I try to play both that shows to the other player i wont be using any cheap tactics and will be attempting to use a football brain and pass it forwards and backwards etc and most will adjust to you which makes both games enjoyable to play.
The problem with the pes fairplay is that alot of people just don't use it and it doesn't seem to reflect in future games where you get to play with users with a similar fairplay award. The system needs improving but with an attempt where it can't be manipulated where if a player loses they just just vote you down. After every game the system should request you to give a postive/negative fairplay award and maybe if your giving a negative detailing a brief statement to why you are giving it.
