Il say one thing,i do like to see how these things are taken care in Italy. They don't fool around.
Here in Portugal everyone is corrupt and nobody does a thing(even in my own club i admit).
Fixing matches, essentially (going from the previous investigation).
Conte's name was brought up by someone who got caught by the authorities, as far as I'm aware. He was manager of Siena at the time of the games in question
Bizarre that this whole thing came about because someone had a car crash
Do you think Conte is involved in this? And what's that story of the car accident?
@ Nobleknight91
Since your talking about talent check out this new kid my club fetched from PSV.
watch from 0.30
This kid is pure talent.
http://www.fifa.com/worldfootball/clubf ... 67609.html
A lot of clubs like Chelsea,Liverpool or Barcelona were after him.But he must thought that he had better chances to play here in Portugal than in those countries so he choose us(he was in the end of his contract). He is truly amazing,im excited to see him next season.
But while we got a new wonder kid we lost two to Inter. Also great talent(not as good as Labyad, but still very good).
Labyat is talented yes, but also alot of trouble if you ask me. His tranfer was a little shady. Little bit of a back stabber. He could turn into a really good player though. Think he choose sporting cause has a chance of playing, going to another team would turn into a big disaster. Sometimes players take the big step a little to fast.
For instand castanios from feyenoord. Had a really good season then went to inter plays 3 matches and thats its.
Its a shame sometimes.

99% sure that's bull, he said he would play one more year @ Braga and then retire, unless he plays that year somewhere else.
He's already behaving like a retired player tbh, being a regular on football tv programs.

Well,he isn't what he used to be but stil he played fairly well in Braga and in my opinion he could've been part of the Portuguese squad in the Euro(none of the strikers there are way better than him).
The guy was like the secret weapon of Braga, they were having a difficult game the guy would come in and help the team score.
Nuno Gomes isn't a matador as we say in Portugal(that kind of player who almost never misses a chance and scores an huge amount of goals),he is more fit to play alongside another striker functioning as a second one.
Personally, while he may be still useful i would search another option in the market.
There isn't any Portuguese striker worth spending money on wages or transfers these days(ok you may say there's Ronaldo, but while he scores a lot he isn't a traditional striker),there are some very young kids who seem to have a bright future ahead of them but it's too soon to know.
ps : There is also Vaz Tê who plays in West Ham,we will see is true value next year(but that's it really).

Another one for Jonas and anderson our local paper (very reliable) are saying Adrien Silva and Fabio Nunes are very close to signing for us asked him on twitter and he says they will sign, so whats your view on these two?

Re: Football Discussion (Part 6)
I guess that's one for me because i know the player better (he is from my club after all).
Adrien is a very talented number 8 (he can play as 10 also, but i think the other postion suits him better),he is that kind a player that makes the pace of his team(like the "engine" in the midfield),nice technique,a strong player in terms of passing and has a decent mid range shooting.Overall a very competent midfielder(a lot of people are saying he is the future of the national team...but i can't predict that far ahead).
I would be a great fit for Blackburn ,there's no doubt about that.I think he is perfect for the English football,he is very similar to Gerrard in some aspects of his playing(it's is idol actually).
That said there's been some controversy lately regarding him.
This kid once one of our brightest hopes in the academy (he was even choose by Uefa at that time as one of the best players of is age)reached our senior team when Paulo Bento was our coach(the same coach that now is on the National team).
Paulo Bento was never a bright a coach, and instead of putting him playing as number eight puted the kid playing as a defensive midfielder.Needless to say the kid didn't did well in that position.
So after failing in the senior team(but not because of his fault but Paulo Bento),he was loaned to a Israelien team(another nonsense made by the suits),the guy didn't adapt to the country so he came backed and was loaned again this time to Académica.
The kid was great this time, because the Académica coach finally putted him playing in is right position.
he even helped Académica win the Portuguese national cup against Sporting.
So why the controversy?Wouldn't Sporting be happy to get back this kid?
The problem is he made some unfortunate comments regarding Sporting and his coach and doesn't seem very happy with the possibility of returning to the club ,and even worst there's some reports he made some encounters with a sports director of a rival club.
He has only one year left in is contract which means if he doesn't renew it in January of next year he his a free player and can discuss is transfer with any club he want's.
Sporting seems to be trying to sell him to prevent him going to a rival club.So this Blackburn rumor might have some truth about it.He would be a great transfer for you guys(also cheap).
As for the other player i don't know him, sry.

I read somwhere he is being disputed by Blackburn and Shelfield.
I hope he goes to Blackburn,at least he won't be playing for a rival team here(people all already mocking us, they are saying it's another Moutinho case).
Ps: How's crazy Vukcevic doing?

Apparently Silva has turned down Porto to join us
And well its not going good for Vukcevic, only made I think 3 appearances last season for us no fault of hes own though he scored a goal in one of hes appearances and played well and impressed for us the other times I saw him in the cup. Its our incompetent managers fault, a rumour last season our signings was none of hes own our Director of football (whos now been sacked) signed them so our manager only played about 3 of our signings last year (Scott Dann and Yakubu and Orr) but another rumour going round last season was that players like Vukcevic Rochina, Salgado, Nelson, Roberts all had appearance fees and our owners didnt want to pay it therefore Robers, Salgado and Nelson were all sold and Vukcevic and Rochina two very good players IMO rarely played. But this season seems our owners are spending another rumour so we can get promoted then be sold for more then they'd get for us being in the championship, but hats off to them (still not convinced by them) they've showed intent by signing Murphy and Best and now Adrien Silva

Regarding Adrien i don't believe he will be heading to Porto,he will stay in Sporting or will be transfered aboard.
Today they are saying that hasn't arrived any proposal for transfer for the player.
There's a lot speculation, and the sports press here in Portugal is very sensationalist and loves a good drama(and Sporting is always their favorite target).I hope he stays in the club or gets transfered abord.
Vukcevic is a great player really, but like i said he isn't a very bright fellow and sometimes gets in some trouble.
But the guy has a lot of talent(really nice left foot, and a very strong player).
He was one of my favorite players when he was here, but he caused a lot of trouble and was always in conflict with coaches and the rest is history.
If he concentrates just in playing football for the team he will show all is talent.

West Ham reportedly interested in Stankovic and Castaignos. Getting yet more players off the wage bill
My only concern is, replacing said players.

What's your opinion of Castaignos? There's a rumor here in Portugal that Sporting want's him.
I kind a doubt it since we have Wolfswinkel and this Castaignos fellow is too young for the senior team in my opinion(too bet on 19 year old is nonsense when we have other players in our youth academy with same age as him, some with a lot of potential).
Still i would like to know what you think of him,i kind a doubt is truth but with these suits you never know
