Because the Tactical Defending feature works just fine in FIFA 12! The problem is that your teammates are not very good at covering opponents, and think defensively in general. The making of a standing tackle is only difficult because the AI is equipped with super-human reactions. Which makes it almost impossible to time a tackle!

Now I'm pretty sure I've read that EA already said that the AI will react less super-human in FIFA 13.

the real problem is the un-responsiveness of defenders towards long balls & clearences... (plus) Supper Accuracy of long balls (plus) the "glued 2 feet" long balls.. When those three problems are merged, it ruins the gameplay too much... For Fifa 13, they already promised to change the first touch.. so only 2 left... :)

So the news today is that WHL is in the game, and users have the ablilty to select any kick off time from 10AM? So this must been dynamic lighting,so you could kick off a game at half 5 in daylight and finish under floodlight?

Last week was a miserable one for Spurs fans as they missed out on Champions League football by virtue of Chelsea winning the same competition – but there’s better news for them on the virtual field, as White Hart Lane is one of the official stadia included in FIFA 13.

Fans of the North London side have clamoured for the stadium’s inclusion for years – and on the back of our first hands-on with EA’s new footy title, OPM can confirm that their prayers have been answered. We even played a match in the stadium (between Chelsea and Man City – Spurs weren’t in this early version of the code) and all its landmarks, like the Jumbotrons at either end, are present and correct.

Another presentation improvement is the ability to set the time at which matches kick-off anywhere from midday to 10pm in the evening, in half hour increments. It’s an improvement on the ‘day’ or ‘night’ settings from previous games, and suggests that FIFA 13 may include a real-time lighting model similar to that found in MLB 12: The Show, where the sky darkens as evening falls. That wasn’t evident in the build we played, but we’ll investigate further during our next hands-on at E3.

Bit of an anti-climax, that. I was expecting a bit more news, or at least a bit more depth in the playtest reports from certain magazines, which always come across as lazy and amateurish.

Grand. I thought Adam said they already play tested it, though? Could it be that the podcast will be up on Friday? Hope so. I look forward to hearing it.

Hmm, nothing much to see there. Although I will say this: it always amazes me how well the replays can look in Fifa. Near the end of that video, if you just caught that at the corner of your eye, you'd be forgiven for thinking that was an actual football match and not a computer game. The entire fluidity and animation in that game is just so good.

I do chuckle to myself a little when i see videos like that claiming its gameplay (no disrespect at all) but thanks for the searching ect you guys do. But yeah as long as they improve the things that needed improving and tweaking a few things, I will be happy as im still enjoying Fifa 12 a hell of a lot :D

At 0:33 min. it looked like the striker received the ball with his back to the ball - he didn't even look at the ball!
The ball just came up from behind and glued to his feet... :?

Did you guys see that???
