GamesCom 2012: Show me some love

I know I'm super early, even one month earlier than last year. However, I booked my stay for Cologne already so I thought I'll open this thread. Maybe more people will attend if they know of GamesCom earlier.
Besides, it feels like the calm before the storm, so some distraction might come in handy.

Like the last two years before, this thread's purpose is to plan meetings, discuss who will go to GamesCom and so on.

I'll be in Cologne starting Tuesday, 14. August 2011 until Friday, 17. August 2011.
The Messiah will be there as well, at least so I was told.
I'll be at GamesCom as WENB Germany's advocate (and of course as Ben Norris, as KitanaGlue and as city guide) and I plan to run a survey with fans at the PES booth, maybe some interviews, we will see, maybe there will even be a WENB special, from WENB and WENB Germany.

Checked lufhtansa, still around 450€ for Cologne Huge amount of taxes...

i have celebreate new years eve in lisboa in 2010 and booked 3 month before, for 150€.

Haven't booked anything yet but i'll be there. Like in the last two years I'll stay untill Sunday, I just don't know if I'll arrive in Cologne on Monday or Wednesday.

Question to those who will be going, is live streaming of the event and games footage allowed? 'Cause there's a few apps for smartphones that allow you to do that pretty easily, and it would be sweet for the community to see stuff happening in real time!

I know it's early but since I deffo can't go once again, figured I could at least give some ideas to make the community feel like they're there

Im pretty sure thats not a problem as filming is allowed anyway (apart from Fifa for some reason) so I can't see why live streaming would be a problem.

I barely had any signal during the Konami conference, only on Edge and no 3G, so streaming might turn out to be a pain in the arse. Maybe things have changed but I doubt it. You can, however, film it, and then upload it afterwards in the press area (if you're press )

Well, you have an iPhone, so you don't need that thing. I can open a WiFi spot with my iPhone as well, but as I said, we won't have a very good signal in the rooms. Especially with so many people attending the show, the cell towers will be working to capacity and beyond...

I am not really pumped up to be honest every year i was exited and when it came out dissapointed so i wont raise my expactation this time.
