The biggest problems for me with pes2012 is that when you lose a match it doesnt feel like you lost it fairly.
I play ml most of the time so i dont really know what the game plays like online. You can start a match really well, totaly own the team you are playing and then you score 1-0 and its over with your domination. Suddenly your team cant make passes anymore cant get the ball away from there own 16. players slowing down when the ai makers a true pass. i dont really mind losing a game but its the way you lose it. the ai can play a really nice game the cheating ala scripting isnt needed.

but altho this might be one of the most frustrating pesses i ever played i still play it almost everyday. theres still some good stuff in it. just hope konami tweeks pes2012 to become 2013 with better passing, shooting, less scripting (atleast less obvious, cause you need a sort of script just dont let it cheat) make the power bar have use and make them consistent, it happens to many time you see a beautifull opening, load up the powerbar and your player barely touch it and the ai picks up the ball. stuff like that can change a game, and basicly that isnt my fault.
fixed goal keepers(ofcourse) and final but not least, tweek the defence or first touch. easy situations turn into toatal panic in defence like a high ball comes in you can easily head i back to the goal keeper or just control the ball and pass it to a back or something but no most of the time something wierd happens giving the ai a corner or ball loss or total panic and a big chance for the ai while all your player had to do was simply head it back to the keeper

so wish list for 2013:
- fixed passing
-fixed shooting
-less scripting
-fixed powerbars
-Fixed goal keepers
-Fixed or tweeks defence system.
____oh and give us more south america licenses intergrated in ML

I base all this on offline ML gameplay cause that all i play. and english isnt my first language so i know i mess up alot of words sorry if i offend you by butchering you language.

keep up the good work WENB, cant wait for the first pes2013 announcement

Another thing I thought of was, there should be 5 modes of passing in PES Along the ground with X the long ball as we have now with O, add a new drill pass which is harder and lower than O by pressing XO together. Y through ball, OY for long direct attempted off the ground through ball, different than L1+Y Stats again should determine how successful these passes would be, but it would add a lot I think.

"You can start a match really well, totaly own the team you are playing and then you score 1-0 and its over with your domination"

exactly... this is online too - especially when the game is close.
it seems to give both players a chance then 'add up' acurracy, instead of being in real time.

also btw a forced correct foot control would be good... maybe L1+R1???

I like that idea. Instead of using XO though I think it could be mapped to the triangle button.

Or a simpler his O followed by X or Y, depending on the desired result. I think it's a placebo, but I've been doing that for years now.

FOr a fast grounded pass, I'd hit X followed by R1. Same goes for long fast balls, O followed by R1. I also use the free kick setings during normal shooting. After hitting SQUARE, I hit TRIANGLE for power shots.

My biggest thing i would like is as you described, variation or variety. Dont know which is the right term :).

In every aspect of the game so we all have a individual style to play, so it wont get so one-sided.

Every match i have against a barca guy he just use double pressure, and then a through ball along the ground.

With greater variation the way of playing football would be up to us and people wouldnt have to abuse if they found out they could outplay guys with smarter techniques.

In fifa they have the driven lob pass. Its amazing really, adds alot to the game. So variation in passing options and shooting and we are along way.

Then variation in the way we want to apporach physical battles, on the ground and in the air, some might want to just go nuts, but will probably cash in some yellow and red cards, plus give away dangerous freekicks, while others if they dont think they can win it fairly, just back away and get ready to defend on the ground.

Alan wrote:Very much inspired by my dalliances with NBA2K12 that. If I get a chance I will post up images of what tendencies can be altered for players, gameplay AND coaches in that game. Will maybe post up images of all the gameplay sliders as well just to give folks an idea of how sliders - if implemented correctly - can essentially allow the user to customise their experience and can create a sub-community in editing all by themselves. FIFA's are way to sweeping as opposed to 2K's almost scientific break down available adjustments. So long as Konami were to offer a solid solution out-of-the-box in tandem with affording user customisation I am all for it. Yeah, maybe online would maybe need to see the game in a locked state for competitive play but so long as it errs on the simulation side I would be happy. They could even allow lobbies/communities to be created that have locked values. Imagine a WENB community that had nailed down simulation gameplay settings?...

I agree with the tendencies thing, sort of reminds me of the star abilities of old and they'd certainly add to the individuality of the game.

I can't even slightly agree with the gameplay sliders. I've always hated gameplay sliders and inevitably within the PES community we'll get the usual elitist behaviour with certain settings...

If Konami can actually get the gameplay right with 2013, where's the need for sliders? There will be no need, imo.

I'm not sure with gameplay sliders either, I fear it would pose problems when playing locally with friends.
It's sort of like me playing with Wide Cam and I go 'round to a mates house and he uses Blimp, but it'd be on a much larger and complicated scale with gameplay sliders.

I'm also a firm believer that Konami should just nail the gameplay - if it's made balanced then you can play to your style while your opponent plays another

Yea, Konami should nail the gameplay but at the end of the day we all like, dislike and feel indifferent about certain aspects of the game. Being able to tweak and mold (or not) the game with choices using sliders or the like, is a nice option to have.

If you're on WENB often, you'll be able to link up where those tweets came from. Pathetic, desperate and very annoying. I've pulled them up on it before, and all I got was tweets apologizing and then numerous ones asking if we're still friends

Can't hate too much, as 6 years ago WENB was probably similarly immature. But still.

Was the Fox engine going to be used, then scrapped for 13? And is that what will be used for next-gen?

Yeah the rumours are funny these days. Like my cousin on Xbox live talking about pes 13, new engines, epl licence...blah blah. I had to stop him multiple times and say "you're taking through yer ass, man!".

I can't be 100% sure, but I'm pretty positive Fox Engine isn't meant to be used in a game like PES. People have this weird need to put "labels" on everything.

Not really as everyone's opinion of what "nailed gameplay" is is different. Sliders provide options and a means for everyone to achieve their definition of "naild gameplay."

Yep. One just needs to be a regular here to know how pathetic an effort this is. Hits don't justify this kind of behaviour. Being immature neither.

believe me I know this to be true more than ever this year after being a tester for the Many, many Pc mod patches. no-body can agree on anything. I personally think putting sliders into Pes would be bad. Alan makes valid points on both sides of this issue, but a big thing that really resonated with me is - Put a game out there that is what it is, and no compromise. Go with one passing system, no sliders. IMO.

the sliders would be a nice addition, though i totally agree with the point made about differing camera angles...
my (local) friends and i play against each other online for just that reason ;)

also would be not applicable to online....
