FIFA Street
downloaded the fifa street demo last night - and I'll say this EA needs to stick to what's thier good at and that is arcade football .......(having a joke there lads).
anyway overall i did like the game but and there's a but I remember the old fifa street and the DJ the game had was class and added to the game, would have loved to have heard he DJ, plus I did like the running up walls in the old game and the brutal ruff house tackles you could do.
I did'nt like seeing club teams kits and logos I think the game should just concentrate on the street theme and keep it that way.
a good addition to the demo was that you could create your own player ...... liked that.
other than that it's a good game.

I found it to be very wanting to be honest. The ball is too floaty and glued to the players feet. There's no freedom in passing. There's no whip on the shots and the players seemed to be locked into an always facing the goal animation. Not impressed at all.

understand what your saying, overall it a good game - but compared with older fifa street's it doesn't have the crazy, addictive fun factor, the I want more of this factor - will I go out and buy it no but I will get my hands on a free copy.

Re: FIFA Street
It's complete and utter ''meh''...
For me personally, this game was doomed from the start so far as me getting on board with it goes. It's got to be all or nothing when it comes to a football game for me and as much as I shouldn't write it off until I try the full game, the chances of that happening (playing the full game) are pretty damn slim. I simply cannot see me invest full RRP on something like this. They could cram it with game modes, online features and whatnot but it will still be kid on, fun football that doesn't lead into anything grander.
What makes it even less appealing is the fact I bought FIFA Street for £6.29 2 months ago; okay, it was actually called Legends Showcase and was DLC for NBA2K12 but it is pretty much what that is to basketball as what FIFA Street is football. In fact, Legends Showcase is more to basketball than what FIFA street is to football.
The devs for FIFA street talk about how impossible it would be to make as DLC for FIFA, which is utter nonsense as Legends Showcase for NBA2K12 came with new art, animations, gameplay styles/features/modes and it all fed off of the main game. You can even unlock new teams/players for the main game by completing certain challenges in Showcase. Whats more, your skills carry over into the main game so you get that feeling that it pays off into that grander experience I was talking about.
I am sure many will like, even love it and I will respect fully that if the final game is superb as to why that may be but lets just say the chances of me buying have somehow decreased even more since playing the demo.
I would say it is a pity but it is everything I expected it to be - bizarro world football that doesn't go anywhere and is overpriced to boot.

Fun for a quick blast. I think its quite responsive and once you get the hang of Left and Right Triggers you can really go to town on playing some wonderful stuff.
Like Alan alluded to, I couldn't shake off the feeling that it should be a part of the standard FIFA game, as a separate mode or DLC.

Would love to see Konami give this a shot. I think PES's tighter and more counterattacking gameplay as well as heavier player and ball physics would be ideal.

good idea - maybe something to ask for for next gen, Konami could even have it as a DLC and they charge ya for it

It would have to be good if people are going to stump up cash for it. If it isn't people will buy FIFA Street instead.

There must be something wrong with me but I'm really liking the demo so far. I've begun to pull off some wonderful tricks and score some class goals. Its just a lot of fun.
Although I'll probably wait until its a tenner or something.

Waste of time downloading this piece of shit. What a HORRIBLE game it is. Ball Physics are crap, Players moving with the ball feels dodgy and crap.
I had a feeling this would be the case but curiosity got the better of me. This makes PES 2012 look absolutely amazing.

Had a couple of hours with this since reading Shadyknight's last opinion and I have to say I was a bit dismissive of it before. After putting some effort into it, I think it's pretty good really once you get use to the Panna and Air Bets controls etc... The Air Beats is a bit overpowered and the gameplay, which is a bit easy in the demo, can feel slightly magnetic and floaty at times, but I think there is definitely a fun and addictive quality to it.

Seriously though I spent a couple of hours on it last night, and it really is heaps of fun. Nothing groundbreaking or anything like that of course. What you said, Silverstone, about the ball needing to be heavier and the player always facing goal are two issues I would also have liked to be fixed. Maybe FIFA Street 2 hey?

Yea, not sure why we can't turn around properly

Re: FIFA Street
logged on xbox live to play Mass effect 3 and quite a few guys on my friends list have forked out for Fifa street early release.
I did say "suckers" to myself and sent some of them messages telling them that it's a waste of money paying twice for this game.

The good thing about the early release is you can decide whether to get the full game, thanks to these who have bought the season ticket I shall be returning my pre order when it arrives.
You can't play with real life teams online (no, i'm not joking
This tops anything EA have ever done in terms of sheer idiotism.

They kept that quiet.
