Rumours, doing the round that if we (rovers) get relegated the venkys will sell up a we're no use to them being a championship club, I already know theres a consortium headed by two rovers fans, who are interested in the club should this happen sounds bad coming from me, but I think it would be the best for us to get relegated, a long as it gets rid of these lying, incompetent owners, I really feel us rovers fans have been taken for a ride and well, i myself want to get off it, so much for BRFC being venkys "baby"

I see glasgow rangers are going into administration. I've got say i haven't got
one ounce of sympathy for them, what goes around comes around and all that,
since graham souness waltzed into ibrox they have been buying their way to
the league title. It's only the last few years that that their overspending has come
back to bite them, and now they are entering into administration & they also have
the small matter of a 49 million pound tax case hanging over them.........Watch

I imagine Ranieri will be gone soon, probably tomorrow. Played well over the Christmas but things change, I don't think it's possible to defend what's happened in the past few weeks.
The problems, sadly, lie at Ranieri, Moratti's and Branca & Co's collective door. They've a lot to answer for. A LOT.
Under Ranieri, in recent weeks, the team has looked disjointed and seemingly unaware of what they should be doing tactically. Tonight was bizarre. Once it went 1-0, I knew there was no hope. This team won't comeback from a losing position, they seem incapable of it
Moratti should have been 110% certain of the type of coach to lead this team forward after the departure of Mourinho. Everyone could see that Benitez would be a disaster. It was the "Damned United" of present day football FFS.
Branca & Co seem to want to build a team of defensive mids. It's bordering on footballing suicide at this point. It just CAN'T continue and if it does, I guarantee that Inter will be little more than a mid-table club.
Juve, Napoli. Milan and Udinese have all shown the way forward on the transfer market. Inter will be left behind with a team of hard working, industrious players. No creativity, no goals. Simple as that

Re: Football Discussion (Part 6)
Here in Portugal they keep saying that Vilas Boas will be the next coach of Inter(there may even exist a "gentleman agreement" by both parties already).
I read Inter fans chant for Mourinho in the last game, not happening. It's the last club he will ever return(not because of the club itself but because of other situations that happened in Italy).
Who knows maybe Vilas Boas will be successful,i think he tries to hard to be a Mourinho wannabe(even tough when he was with Mourinho he was just a scout and statistic guy,he never even sat on the bench with im).
Personally i wouldn't want the guy for my own team,Portugal now days is full of these Mourinho wannabes(this one got "authenticated" because he also won a Uefa cup just like is master
).
There is only one good coach on Portugal besides Mourinho,Jesus(it's really is real name
) who coaches Benfica. But i don't think he will go aboard.

Re: Football Discussion (Part 6)
Just sat through the most painful 90 minutes of my life, just watched us get dicked 5-1. The 1 was flattering.
No defenders fit, then Dias goes and gets himself sent off, nicely done
Klose comes off, presumably hurt (no other reason to take him off!), so no defence, and no strikers. Win.
Only plus point was the return of Mauri, who looked lively when he came on, and linked up well with Hernanes.
Im not even sure who to blame. Sure, we are ravaged with injury at the minute, but surely Reja has to take some of the blame for not preparing or motivating the players he has at his disposal?

Reja as quit.
Still he did a great job on Lazio ,but as always the coaches are the weakest link(while the suits always get way from their responsibilities).

Re: Football Discussion (Part 6)
Not 100% yet, read on Corriere he will take charge of the game against Madrid, and Lotito is thinking of making him postpone the decision until the end of the season.
Personally, I dont totally blame him, you might say he should manage the players at his disposal better, but we are missing a lot of players through injury, so hes doing the best he can with what hes got.
I think if he does decide to leave now (I think he will go at the end of the season no matter what happens) it will be because of fall outs with Lotito and Tare - Reja is doing his best but they arent making his job any easier pilling on the pressure and giving him nothing to work with in terms of new players/money.
I also think to a degree he cant hack the pressure and the limelight. Its a high pressure job because us fans demand a lot, Lazio could be 19th in Serie B and the fans would want that we win every game. He also has said in the past that he gets no privacy from fans/press.
Hes done a great job, saved us from the drop and we currently sit 3rd. I kinda hope he doesnt go - but I think its a foregone conclusion that he will.

Re: Football Discussion (Part 6)
What can you say really? I knew we were going to lose as soon as I saw the team. I'm no manager but Christ! What is it that Ranieri gets paid for? He just seems to inept at times
J. Cesar - Fine. Heard he was a doubt, so was a surprise he started
Maicon - Needs to be dropped
Lucio - Who else is there...
Samuel - See Lucio
Chivu - Should never wear an Inter shirt again
Zanetti - Should be playing full back
Cambiasso - Fine, played well considering
Stankovic - Sadly, should never wear an Inter shirt again. Awful
Sneijder - Sell him
Zarate - Piss poor excuse for a footballer. I don't care what he did at Lazio
Forlan - Has been quite poor all season (when he's not injured that is)
Anyone with even a brief viewing of Inter this season or more specifically the past few weeks will KNOW that this is an abortion of a selection. I don't give a flying **** if certain players perform well in training. They should not get near the Inter team.
It's all well and good me criticising without offering a solution, well here's mine...
J. César
Zanetti
Lucio
Samuel
Nagatomo
Faraoni
Cambiasso
Poli
Alvarez (injured at the mo)
Forlan/Pazzini
Milito
For my money, that's a more solid team, certainly at the back. Faraoni has performed well when he's come in and with Zanetti ahead of him, there's certainly more stability on the right hand side than there is currently. An alarming about of goals have been coming from that side in recent weeks.
But the main way to fix this mess? Sack Ranieri, hire a manager and give him your full backing. It won't happen now but how I would have loved Inter to make Spalletti an offer he couldn't refuse to tempt him away from Zenit.
But anyway, then when you've got the coach in place, sack Branca along with the rest of his minions and hire some people who won't just sign DMC's constantly.
Look at the past couple of years, in terms of players sold
Destro - Playing very well for Siena
Santon
Eto'o
Motta
Maxwell
Bonucci
Coutinho - Loaned out this season but why? He's good enough for the team
Where is the sense in these transfers? There is none. And transfers in are just as bad...
Jonathan Biabiany - His ability is sprinting and that's it
Kharja - Woeful. Thankfully on loan though
Juan Jesus - I hear he's the Brazilian Chivu...
Castaignos - Looks quite poor
Jonathan - Signed this season. Already gone , albeit on loan but I think with an option to buy
Forlan - Constantly injured, old and playing poorly
Zaraté - I could write a book...

Would love to have Maicon and Sjneider on my team,my two favorite players of Inter by a long shot(Milito is also great).
Mourinho made a mistake not taking Maicon with him to Real.

Inter's downfall under Ranieri started when he tried to integrate Sniejder back into the team disrupting the chemistry and tactics that were proving to be successful with Alvarez out wide in defense then coming inside when Inter has possession. Sneijder not to long ago was my favorite Inter player, now everytime he doesn't get the ball or makes a mistake he throws his arms up in the air and complains instead of fighting and hustling back to help his team recover possession and start a new attack. Tired of watching his piss poor attitude to be honest

Exactly how I feel. He's become too big for his boots and needs to shape up or move on. He was one of my favourites too but that changed in the summer.

Re: Football Discussion (Part 6)
Watching Inter v Napoli and it is extremely frustrating watching this Inter squad with the negative tactics, no energy, deep back line. They are so structured their is no movement it's like there scared to leave their position.
I have been ripping Sneijder for his poor attitude but I'm starting to understand why he is frustrated, he has no options when he gets possession...
Funny thing is, watching Inter defend is like playing the computer in PES2012, 8-9 guys defending in and around the box
Funny but sad for me at the same time...love the way Napoli play btw

Watching Lazio, and with Mauri back it seems like the good Lazio is back, hopefully we can forget the last couple of weeks, stand by Reja, and we CAN finish 3rd this season. We will.

Don't worry 5PUR2. You actually won that game.
You scored 6 goals, Harry Redknapp just hid 4 in
an offshore account.

Re: Football Discussion (Part 6)
Simply disgraceful, also because this guy used to be is team mate! How can he do that????
Im baffled how nobody saw this during the game, and it's even worse that this guy gets way with only 3 games.
This stuff should be enough to get 5 games minimum.
The Europa league is being plagued by racist and xenophobic behavior, In Portugal Porto fans chanted racist words against Baloatelli (even little kids were doing that!I hope they are severely punished for this!)
Sporting played with Legia Warsaw in this round of Europa league
In Poland we got this treatment.
And when they came to Portugal play the second match, this is how their fans display themselves(and for a few days they cause havoc in Lisbon, robberies etc).
http://imageshack.us/f/703/40269733977261273115732.jpg/
Some people might be offended because of the racist content of these images(that's why i putted the link).
I hope Uefa won't let this pass. This also raises a lot of concerns for the upcoming Euro tournament in Poland.
There's a real problem with hooligans in that country.
But fortunately not everything is bad in football. Here's two of my favorite goals of the past weekend.
You probably never heard of the name Marat Izmailov, chances are if the little Russian player wouldn't be plagued by injuries he would probably play in your team(that's how good he is)!
But with 28 years and a lot of injuries on the knee's this guy's carrer won't reach the heights he deserves(it's really a shame because he is a sensacional player, top of top).
He only plays 8 to 10 games per season(and that's a "good" season for him),but when he does magic like that on the video happens(is like a Russian Maradona
And of course the amazing goal by Ronaldo.
It's no the first time he does a back heel goal(he did one in Man U.).
But this one is remarkable because of the distance and power of the shoot, brilliant.
