I honestly dont think ill even do a season on this game, as its flaws and scripting annoy me so much, im sick to death of losing goals simply because the computer fucked me over.

Controversial, but I honestly believe this is the worst PES in years, and I will not be buying another.

Yeah the love/hate with this game is making me not want to play it.

Im seriously considering investing in PES 12 on PS2!

I agree. PES 2008-10 were not by any stretch of the imagination great games but I was able to play them until at least around March-April of the following year. With PES 2011 I stopped playing it about a week before Christmas and with PES 2012 I gave up about three weeks after release. The game just feels horrible.

It has been so long since there was a truly remarkable PES game that I now have lost all of the faith I had left in Konami team producing another excellent football title.

It is ashame that there is no relevant third football title of the next gen concoles outside of FIFA and PES. There is a real wanting mass of fans out there who could easily fall in love with a new football game.

and what konami did to their game after the good demo 1 ?? They came up with a whole different game from demo 1
Demo 1 was perfect except the keepers , crossing , and some defending situations and it was rail-less

I hate saying something that the game won't do (over hyping )

I find so much wrong with this post but you're entitled to be annoyed as it's your opinion. Having a pop at Adam, Suff and Jon for "hyping" the game is a two way street. You have to be mature enough to take what you want from what is said throughout the pre-launch of a game. If you believe everything then you're a mindless sheep and you should be putting blame on yourself also.

Suff saying "It's for the purist", well, that is subjective and again has the same outlines as all info released before the game. I don't find it what Suff said as too far off the mark but that's my opinion and I based that on the fact PES is bloody hard for me and is taking ages to master but I am getting there eventually.

Blaming the owners of a dedicated PES site and the community manager for Konami's PES game for hyping or talking up the product is so hilarious.

I don't blame them for telling something konami changed it during the development

For example Adam said that crossing will be pressure sensitive
and konami changed that through development , so i don't blame Adam for that
But i blame konami for making something and then remove it without telling Adam why they did so
I asked Adam about that and he said that he didn't know why they removed it

so plz don't tell me to be mature and that kind of words , you know I'm mature enough ;)

so konami shouldn't made guys like Adam (who I respect for doing all of this without being paid ) look bad by telling something that isn't at the final version

and you will notice that other sites are talking s#$t about Adam and i don't like that

I hope you got the point

Edit : also the language barrier isn't a good thing for konami
I don't know how come seabass can't speak english

Theres a difference between a game being hard, and a game that is just fundamentally broken.

Im not saying anyone is right or wrong, its all opinion after all, but it is so so easy for someone who is enjoying the game to think "oh he doesnt like it cos he cant win" etc, which isnt the case.

I welcome a hard game, I welcome the fact that you need to "learn" PES again, it makes it interesting. But for me, having to fight against the glaring flaws of the game, is just wrong.

I dont understand how some people cant see the obvious scripting or on rail action, but again, its all opinion so if they dont see it and like it then great, £40 well spent for them.

But for me, I cant enjoy a game, where I am not playing it, im fighting against it.

Regarding the above posts, I dont think its the fault of anyone on this site, and hype is just words, if you believe it all then youre a fool (about any game not just PES) but it is a fact that Konami changed several things throughout development, and as a result, denied us what was shaping up to be an incredible game.

Why, we will never know, but I cant see them changing their ways, theyve been doing it for so long.

After patching PES 6 on PC, it truly is like a HD version of the game, and plays as awesome as ever. Im not living in the past, im still appreciating a masterclass and a reason why I will never choose FIFA over PES :D

I know its hard but try not to read too much into it and form your own opinion, from reading the boards it seems to be a marmite thing, you either love this game or you hate it, have a bite and see which one you are!

Havent touched the sliders, tbh i played the shit out of it first week or so, then havent touched it.

Played it last night against my mates when they came over, only because they wanted to. Felt like a totally different game! Was like they had changed the ball physics and toned down a whole bunch of things.

I just won a game, 3-2, and I still despise this game, so hopefully thats a big FU to those who think its simply because I "cant win"

Its got to the point now that whenever the game gives me some bullshit scripted play, ridiculous pass or piece of AI, or I lose a goal due to the games flaws, I just roll my eyes and sigh. I dont even have the energy to get mad at it anymore.

I have the Italian version, hence I cant just trade it at GAME or wherever, but this time next week ill be in Rome, so ill be taking the game with me and selling/trading it at one of the stores there. Good riddance.

So, Mr Murphy, I have been a PES fan since ISS Pro 98, but this buggy, scripted, flawed disc of shite is the worst footy game ive ever played, and you boys better pull out something damn good next year (ie, not just the same empty promises and on rails bullshit), otherwise you will lose a fan forever, and I know I wont be alone.

It is only my love for PES that is allowing me to give them one more chance. Next year better be fucking good.

@ Peruzzi - Kudos to you for trying to find the sweet spot with PES12. I gave up the ghost a few weeks back and feel a lot better for it. I can feel the rage in your posts. :D

Have given up on it too. After 6 weeks I hit a wall and now find absolutely nothing satisfying about the experience. Currently playing the PS2 version and love it :)

As poor as PES is this year I can't be doing with FIFA. PES demos for me I think.
