no downside, sometimes they lose the ball, they make a wrong pass, but for the most part playing against Barca, Real, Argentina, Brasil is very difficult to defend against especially if they are using default or full passing assistance

last year offline and online gameplay were different, but not so much, this year offline gameplay and online is really different, really noticeable

I really need to try this out.

But surely if we get really good at passing with little assistance then more opportunities would open up than with full?

of course, i'm not complaining about creating opportunities, i'm complaining about defending online

After bitching and moaning on forums about PES online for a while now, I am not surprised to see Konami make no strides in this arena, I even phoned up Konami last year and sent 3 complaint emails about cheaters online in MLO and nothing has been done.
Why oh why they can't implement a filter that works and a badwidth test to stop wi-fi dial up-esque connections playing online is beyond me, until this happens I'll stick to FPS online and PES off. I nearly flew to a certain part of europe last year to assasinate certain EU based players for robbing me of many points and cutting years off my life through nearly having brain haemorrhage screaming at my tele.

i dont get it because playing without passing assistance or with one bar is more realistic. Nobody wants an Arcade Game with players running like on Drugs ..

They want to please everyone: this is why there are 5 passing assistance settings.
There should only be: 0 bar passing assistance and 1 bar passing assistance
0 bar passing assistance default for everyone in Online Master League, 1 bar passing assistance for online friendlies and offline

For me last year (and years before) online and offline were like night and day: 2 diiferent games. The online reactions were much slower. And I have a 24MB conn... This was particulary visible to me when I switched between the 2 modes in quick succession. And last year I only experienced lag in 2 games (I played hundreds of them). So I think this is more by design. Overall offline is a much better experience.

I think the speed of online games is not due to KOnami upping it to +1 default level, but a game bug that has been present since demo 2. The game will suddenly up a gear in terms of speed, meaning -1 speed will feel like 0, 0 feels like +1, etc. Its present in all versions of demo 2 and has not been rectified by the consumer version. The bug is present both online and offline, I hope Konami look into this.

Damn just palyed against a guy having cristiano ronaldo, di natale, eto'o, hamsik, villa and he was definitely using full pass assistance as he was passing the ball from his box to midfield then into my box with accuracy and speed! I really suffered to hold him up! scored a gol early in the game tanks to a counter attack and a nice little chip (my special as you'll be able to see once I make MLO goals vid )! He managed to tie the game with a cheesy freekick with cr7 using that little pass before hitting it behind the wall no skills whatsoever ... But liked how I managed to keep posession (60%-40%) against a team like that (and It wasn't easy).

I know now why some people moan about full assistance passing online! Still manual passing for men ... cheesy football for kids

Fed up of cheaters, they quit I lose contracts and no money. So sort this out please. Man people have been patient with Konami far too long..Sort this out. Do you know the bull shit I'm getting from Fifa pluckers??? Sort it out and stop making us boys look stupid defending Pes year after year !!

For anyone coming to this thread looking for complaints - Let me just say that for me in my opinion some of these complaints are getting alittle over the top ....tha game is quick at times but it doesnt ruin the game at all ....it just feels slightly quicker no big deal
The ping pong passing is laughable because they make it easier to defend against ......you just block the passing avenues up ..........i completly owned someone doing these pass's 3-1 with default masterleague players ................then after that someone else played the game right (i wasnt expecting it) and they owned me ....again it doesnt break the game and as defending improves all round youll see less and less of it

Just for the record i used quick passing sometimes to counter people that "press" all the time , so its a good thing its there to counter folk that do that all the time ....trust me you would have bigger issues if you couldnt do it

you did not understand. Its not about winning a game, its about playing a football game. And that speed online together with assisted passing has nothing to do with Football. They want to be a football simulation? This year totally NO, when it comes with full assisted passing.

They just have to give an option where we can sort out these kind of players that destroy the game. I want to play a Football game ONLINE.

People should be allowed to play the game how they like mate ...at the end of the day they paid the money for the game ....even if they did something with the passing , you would have people doing other stuff that bothers you

I mention about winning a game against them , because if they can be taught a lesson in real football then they would either have to adapt or quit the mode all together

why give them the opportunity to play the game like something that has nothing to do with Football in a Football Game?

Its all preference at the end of the day ....
Its no different than playing streetfighter and getting fireball spammed , or playing mortal kombat and getting juggled from one side of the stage to the other .....or even cod and folk camping
You can ping passes around in real football ...why not have that option there for folk to mix up their play and let the spammers live and die by it

If its not something you can get on with , then playing mates who play how you like or playing offline is the only way for you mate

Ping Pong passing in real football? With that Speed? Sorry but you dont have to defend the game here for his weak parts. This is quite obvious a very weak point of Pes 2012.

Its obvious to me that this bothers you very much ...rather than defending the game id like to say it doesnt bother me in any major way at all ... i preferred the accuracy of Pes2011's passing, but feel everything else is improved in this years ...
