An official PS3 Headset by Sony is being released tomorrow September 6th, 2011! It will include a little USB dongle that allows it to be wireless.You can here virtual 7.1 surround sound game audio through it along with chat using its retractable microphone. If you're wondering why it's not bluetooth here's the answer. Surround sound takes too much bandwidth over bluetooth and sound would have to be compressed for that. Furthermore, due to a blu-ray policy, unfortunately surround sound is not available during blu-ray playback. It officially retails for $99!

-Wireless(very small flashdrive like dongle)
-40mm Speakers
-Built in Rechargeable Battery(you can use it while you're charging)
-On Screen indicators for battery/mute

Seen that cyclops visor looking thing they're bringing out ?!

2 small 720p 3D screens - 1 for each eye giving the illusion of a 700" screen or something like that.

Costs about same as a 3D telly....total private viewing/gaming - no distractions out the corner of your eye. That could be a bad thing also having blind spots lol.

Only thing I don't like about it is that it's got it's own headphones built in, so what if I want to use my own with my audio rig ? I'd have to mod it somehow or reroute the audio.
