Ok so this game really is brilliant! Cam im using is tv close.

My only problems are the difficulty, atmosphere and lac of licensed players.

Difficulty - I think the game is a bit too easy, i have only played 2 matches on very hard and both were close i lost one ad won the other. However, i have only played a total of about 10 games, which shouldn't be enough to win on the top level,

Atmosphere - the crowd are decent enough and i love the players reactions but commentary would make the game so much better. Its especially annoying when 2k's flagship game NBA has such good commentary.

However, the actual gameplay is so so good and the game is extremely enjoyable.

Top Spin 4 is an awesome game. I myself found it challenging when playing Career Mode. Everyone finds the game differently when it comes to difficulty depending on ones skill.

As for the commentary, should be added into the game. As for NBA 2k franchise, it isnt good, its SPECTACULAR!

Well in Career Mode, your player is so shit, the difficulty makes the game so much better. Reminds me a lot of PES of the old days when the difficulty is so high when your players are shit. Which is lovely in my opinion.

Definitely a lot harder in career. I lost the first set of my first game 6-2 on very hard. But had to switch off for last min plans. When i have some time i will re-play.

Had some immense games though one i came back from 30-0 down but cpu saved 9 break points!! the set took absolutely ages

Haha, i knew you would like it even more. Exhibition Mode always gives the wrong perspective due to in-game players being so close in term of stats and what not. In every game though, Career Mode should always be the bread and butter and Top Spin 4 definitely made good use of it.

I'm gutted there isn't the choice of playing standalone tournaments. I know I've mentioned this before but its a huge oversight. Utter nonsense.

I came here to post that exact same thing. Same with NBA2k11. The spirit of PES is in them :D

Anyone else wish there was the option of turning off replays in PES12 demo like we have in TS4? Its a great option tbh. :D

Great camera angles in TS4 too.......Are you taking notes Konami?

Just played 3 matches back-to-back.

THIS is a proper tennis video-game. :D

I would give this game a 10/10 were it not for two pretty huge omissions:

1) The lack of any kind of commentary is poor, especially after having played the GST2 demo.

2) No 'Tournament' mode. Why the developers thought it was a good idea not to have a stand-alone tournament mode is a mystery. Sometimes you just want to play a competition without having to worry about career / xp points, levelling up, coaches, etc.

Like I said had they included the above two features, I'd have no problem in placing TS4 alongside the best of the PES games from last-gen in terms of sports games.

I agree with those two points. I'd also like to see a little more finesse around the net that includes the ability to play softer and more acute angled shots. Improve those three aspects and it's a 10 out of 10 for me.

Good point. Most of, if not all 'near the net' shots end up near the baseline or sidelines when successfully hit. It would require a fair bit of skill to pull-off what you've suggested above but I guess that's what separates the men from the boys. :D

I think I'm gonna pick this up sooner or later. I'm not a big tennis fan, but the game feels and looks good.

Hard and Very Hard are the best settings for a challenge against the CPU.

Whilst the stats are nothing to be proud of, this was my 2nd match on 'Very Hard' after around 5 months.

I got mullered in the first set and it was tense as fook throughout, but I managed to get through. If only Nadal was a bit quicker around the court. Also, his serves are proper shite. :D
