PES 2012 Wish-lists: Master League

Just put back in the option so that we can put whatever teams we want in whatever division. The way it used to be. We need to have the choice to have a fantasy style ML as well as the semi-realistic one that is apparent now.

In my personal opinion though the depth of Master League may be greater this generation than on previous consoles but honestly the fun factor of Master League has diminished rapidly.
You just have to accept that you don't have enough fully licensed leagues to keep the same formula because Master League feels really limited where as it felt endless before. If you disagree then question why you would bother to ever want to start ML again knowing it's going to be exactly the same.

The only depth ML has at all now is the Europa League/Champions League. Though that was always kind of there anyway in the old iterations albeit in a fake competition (WEFA championship etc).

- As has been suggested by others a concept of relegation and promotion is needed too in order to add depth.
- Being able to create a team from scratch

Perhaps i'm nostalgic but i really did think the concept of master league was better/more enjoyable in PES 4, 5 and 6.

1. Champions League final should the the LAST game of the season as in real life. Not 4(?) games before the end.
Also, it should be in a different ground every season.

2. Include National team competitions with the ability to manage in them. This goes with (as it's been said before) the option to leave and manage another team is essential!

3. Players stats become too good over time. Needs to be toned down. Also, some players don't get WORSE over time in real life (John O'Shea).

4. English League cup final should be at Wembley, rounds should be at the home team's ground.

5. Nowhere near enough injuries to force me in to lineup changes game by game. I get to rest players but find after a while I don't really need to change my first 11 a lot.

6. Ability to rest important players before a big game without them ALWAYS complaining that they've been dropped. They haven't. They've just been rested.

7. Ability to see average ratings of every player in charts like top scorers and assists.

8. Not entirely related but the tunnel at Old Trafford is in the corner. Not by the dugouts. How can they get this wrong again!?

1. Please bring back pre-season friendlies and the ability to organise pre-season cups with other teams.

2. Change the layout of the master league menus, similar to the one of PES 2010

3. And finally please move the champions league final to the last game of the season as well as give us the chance to change the stadium of the final each year.

To me the ultimate option to have in ML is to be a National team manager as well as a Club manager. But if this can't be done then please give us the option to have the International cups and the other cups using our current ML year.

Also please bring back the stats for players like in 2010, ie, keeping track of a players golden boots, MVP, etc.

Overall I think Master League is great, however there are some improvements that I think Konami could realistically implement:

+ Moving to another club - I think you should have the option to leave your club and join a club looking for a manager and occasionally job offers will come your way, and you can choose to stick with your club or manage the new one. These could happen right in the middle of the season. I suppose it would be based around the club's ranking, league position and cup progress. It might be too much to implement a full reputation system this year but, in the long run, that would be the goal.

+ Re-working youth player contracts - I think that if you don't sign up youth team players, instead of them just disappearing they should turn up in the Free Agents list. Once they have finished their time with you they become free agents - and other clubs should do the same. How it would work for other clubs would depend how they are generated, I guess it would programmatically mean dumping some youth players in the Free Agent group. It would sort of bring back the "Newcomers" part of PES - but handled in a slightly more realistic way.

+ Re-working youth player properties - I personally think that the appearance and name of all youth players should be randomised. The nationalities should be a realistic reflection of the game - in an English league there will be mostly English players in the youth teams, but as investment grows more foreigners will turn up. I have created algorithms myself to generate fairly realistic player properties, which will produce player names, nationalities and heritages - so I know Konami can do it. Regens should have randomised properties too. Appearances don't necessarily have to be randomised, they could be pulled from a pool of 30 or so per ethnicity - or the game could use the appearance of a randomly picked player, so long as they don't have a preset face.

Those are the only really major things I can think of - hopefully someone will read this and figure they are as good ideas as I think they are!

One thing that should be improved in ML is the contract system.

I sign a player for let's say 4 years, his worth is 120k and I pay him 200k.
After a year and a half, his value is way more than 200k, so he becomes unhappy.
Players should approach you and ask for a change in the contract or should stop becoming unhappy if they earn not enough.
Additionally, you should be able to approach the players and offer them a better contract to keep them happy.

My God, where are the judges in the master league?

Reverse faults, do not give fouls when they happen, if you play attractive football, touch, will receive 100 faults to be scored only one or two fouls, red card then, are legends, people break even until your player is injured, and what happens?

At most a yellow card, and I rarely have many games, I think I saw only a single time, two players were expelled, and that's because every move, my opponent gave series of moves absentees did not understand the staff of KONAMI, which made with the judges?

Looks more like a game of anything goes inside the jail, than a football game, what good is putting thousands of fakes, and shots are not marked defaulting? getting this error bizarre game is perfect, just needs more Brazilian teams and the League of Brazil, in Brazil we love the PES

Master League in PES 2012 should resign as a club, or receive offers from other clubs, having press conferences as the 2010 F1 should be more difficult, starting with the basic categories of some small club and going to evolve and receiving proposals other clubs and also calls for training teams and may make the call for friendly games and tournaments, fired from a club for poor results ...

a few ideas to make a best ML

-better environment, new background colors, use more than dark backgrounds, can put pictures of players walk in the player concentration on in the academy. Make this alive, with different pictures for every icon or topic.

- more kind of team investiment, like: increase academy number of machines, fix the stadium damage maked by other team fans, buy a stadium if the team don't have one (option to buy a ficticious pre-maded stadium), stadium infrestructure, promotions to the fans and customizable promise if they make something good for the team, invest in porcentage of a player rights, etc...

-yearly kit update, choose a (virtual) contract with a real kit company and tell the company update the kits (including the training kit) and be able to choose between some kits maded by the kit company. if there is a good company you'll have more kits styles to choose and they will be better.

-see or control the players training, have a default time to the training and not only use focus options, train driblling against cones, a passing whell, or a full team game. if next match is not important can choose the train to be more fun, the players will be more happy and satisfied with the club.

-have a weekly news page (topics), see individual player produce, satisfaction, evolution, and others, even a psychological problems. can make custom tabs to this area, the default one is team, but can add feeds to wished players, technical committee reports (can be usefull), and general other things.

-more technical committee people,(pes 2011 5 v 15-30 pes 2012),add woman to work! Able to end of career players jump in the technical committee, add real people if possible. add a coach if you want, to he control the players will save for next match, and update always the tatic. Option to control his work if he's not total secure.

-more real ML money bills, depending the rank of the team. on 0-6 stars, zero is bad team and 6 one of the bests.

-see best match moments if don't want to play the games, tell players what they need to change based on the moments of the game, and actual team situation. Adjust the level the technical committee make decisions for you, able to control all, choose between its recomendations, and to they make all decisions. If someone team want one person of technical committee of my team request a transfeer money.

-create your own identity, begin the game in technical committee, coach, just play the matchs or be the team owner(this last options will give 5x to 10x the gp's earned in other works, if you are the team owner you are able to make a company with your money, and with the profit aply to the team money.

-more licensed content to ML and BAL, licensed kits company, licensed technical committee real people, license more things to the game don't be so much ficticious.

A small thing but to be able to edit your master league online players celebrations and then have them appear in game on master league online... would be a nice touch...

To continue with some of the great ideas that are already on here, I'd like to add what I would want in my ML to make my ML more enjoyable because I definately did not spend as much time as I would like to have spent in PES2011 ML. I know some of these have been mentioned already, but I just wanted to restate some of them again.

*Bring back the ability to alter kits after every season (while in ML, not in edit mode).
*Hate the idea of player happiness/unhappiness. I'm the manager! If I don't want one of my key players to play in a Carlington Cup match (for example), then the player should understand that I'm saving him for a more vital game!
*FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, please stop regenerating retired players as youth players. Allow a random name generator to create the youths of the future.
*PRE-SEASON FRIENDLIES!!!!! Why it was taken out, I will never know.
*The ability to sim months at a time or seasons at a time, with the allowance of the odd interruptions for important news. I can't stand simming days at a time!

my wishlist for pes12 master league is...

1).on fifa 11 manager mode there is the opportunity when your in the season to sign off with the team and go to another if u have a good offer and u dont have to start new season like pes11.

2)nation teams on master league,I wish I could not only play with clubs but if I had a good suggestion by a nation team to play on both(club and nation team),that would be brilliant for master league fans.

3)more stuff to the main menu to feel more like something new is everyday,like other pes games that players talk to the media about matches,Add a board and pre and post match interviews,
fans talk about the team and more things like that or something new that we didnt see.

4)I would like master league to have the same order calendar as in real life.

5)Master league has to include at least 2nd divisions for each league, 3rd divisions would be even better but 2nd divisions is a must, so please include more teams in the game. Fake or licensed it doesn't matter.

I hope konami I to get some ideas from here and put them in the game.

Master League football league table needs to be showing how many games played as well as, points, wins, loss etc. Such a small thing yet overlooked.

Get rid of players coming back young when they have retired. Its so annoying seeing Henry age 19 in my youth. Bring regens with a different name, face etc. This needs to be done for ML and MLO.

CUT SCENES from player interviews, new signings, managers, managers on touchline ( lifelike ) and even a televised cutscene similar to MOTD showing all the goals and goal of the month, sendings off, manager interviews. Please do this before FIFA does. Take PES to new heights Seabass please.

For something that's realistic and realistically implemented I'd just like the ability brought back where the eagle-eyed user can poach a player in mid season essentially on a bosman free transfer should his contract have less than a year left to run. So basically the ability to bypass a transfer fee entirely and negotiate directly with the player. To be honest I have no earthly idea why this was taken out of PES 2 and not seen since.

As for the more lavish additions, the addition of media interaction would go a long way. Not just quick cuts and cut&paste responses which would be repetitive - I'm talking news feeds of internal matters going public thanks to disgruntled players both for your club and others. Also the ability to release comments to the press regarding a player of yours who is either playing well or poor so that the hope is that the player gets a potential form boost. I'm thinking along the lines of Football Manager here as video feeds need loading and will break up the pace so I think text of all of these instead would work a lot better so we can also use our imaginations. Create the media circus of the football world Konami, give it a go by all means I'd love to see the outcome!
