Legal advice required

Hi guys sorry about this and i am aware that this post is not about pes but as i have followed and posted on this site for a few years now i thought i could call in the help of my fellow brethern!
My friend bought an x box 360 and went to look for games. In a local non chain shop she found a few games which were for the x box which she thought her son would like. She knows nothing about consoles but was just about wise enough to ask if they would work in her 360. The guy told her no problem all she had to do was download software and it would be fine. She then handed me the console and games as none of them would work out. I have always had a ps3 and know nothing about x boxes but i managed to wire it up and get the correct software update downloaded and installed. When i put the game in it says she needs hard drive space....guess what she had bout an x box with 4gigs on it and she has to buy the hard drive. (I had already told her she was a bit silly to say the least to buy a console without memory for saving game progress, option files etc) I am looking a money refund not an in store voucher as they have offered me as the guy did say no all she had to do was download the software...no mention of hard drive space needed etc and i believe he was securing the sales in one form or another. Anyone know about this guys? i have trawled th einternet looking advice and this is my last hope...my trusted faithful wenb.

You could have spaced that out a bit better, im not entirely sure what youre asking.

So, your friend went to a shop, bought a 360 with some games, asked the shop guy if the games would work and he said yes. But she cant save them as she didnt buy a hard drive.

Am I right?

If so, I dont really see what the issue is, she needs to buy a hard drive, but I dont think the shop guy did anything wrong, he answered her question. Sure common sense says he should have noticed she didnt have a hard drive and asked her if she wanted one, would have made him an extra £60, but legally, I dont see what the issue is?

I think that her xbox has the 4gb internal harddrive, so I'm guessing the games may not be region-compatiable....

I assume the games she bought were XBOX 360 and not just XBOX games
