Open Championship 2009 :) (Off work all weekend to watch the golf and go on WENB) :D

Just wondering some predictions on who will win. My personal favourite is Harrington. Hope he can shake off his bad form and win 3 Opens in a row!. Woods was pretty poor to be fair and again has made it very difficult for himself to get himself back into contention.

Harlequins receive written judgment into 'fake blood injury'
Harlequins today confirmed that they had received the written judgment of the three-man panel that last month fined the club £215,000 and banned the wing Tom Williams for a year after an investigation into allegations of a faked injury during last season's Heineken Cup quarter-final against Leinster at the Stoop.

Williams, a replacement himself, left the field six minutes from the end with an apparent blood injury that allowed the outside-half and goal-kicker, Nick Evans, to return to the field with his side trailing by a point. The panel concluded that the injury was a sham but charges against the club's director of rugby, Dean Richards, and the club doctor and physiotherapist were thrown out.

Quins have until Saturday to appeal against the fine, half of which was suspended for two years, and/or the ban handed out to Williams which will see him miss the whole of the coming season.

"We received the judgement on Wednesday and we are giving it due consideration," said the Harlequins' chief executive, Mark Evans. "We have not yet made a decision on whether to appeal and we have another two days to think it through." European Rugby Cup Ltd will make the judgement public only when the disciplinary process has reached a conclusion.

Table tennis is probably my second favourite sport, its just incredible to play, however it can extremely fustrating when playing opponents who aren't up to scratch.

Any squash fans? Im hopefully going to get back into the squash routine today. I absolutely love it.

Ultimate Frisbee
Image
Image

Basically, The Pitch Is 100 Yards Long, With End Zones, Which Are Normally 20m Long - Like American Football...
Image

How To Play, You Have A Team Of 7-11 Players & You Have To Get The Frisbee In The Opposition's End Zone...

If You Drop The Frisbee, Or A Pass Is Intercepted, Possession Is Lost & The Other Team Attack..

You Can't Run w/The Disc, It's Generally A Friendly Game w/No Contact.

A Lot Of People Mock Ultimate Frisbee, But, If You Can Throw A Frisbee 100+ Yards & Can Catch While Running Etc, It's Very Fun!

I would love to see in action, at first I'd laugh, however after some time watching I'm sure I'll enjoy it, and realise the ability these guys have, cause it can be fuckin hard to throw a frisbee.

It Gets Really Competitive & You Get Very Tired, Very Quick!

Me & My Friend, Who Are Quite Good, Played A Big Game w/All Of Our Friends & They All Thought It Was Easy & They Couldn't Even Throw It Or Catch It, No Better Feeling That Nailing A Flat Backhand 100 Yards Into My Friend's Hand :D

You Must Give It A Go Sean :)

Would love to try that, but the chance of getting anybody where i live to try it is slim.

That other funny sounding sport, i looked up the definition, sounds good, and isnt that what football players do as part of training?
Also kinda reminded me of "headers & volleys" or "nine lives", im sure everyone who plays footie has played those mini games, or some version of it.

Headers and Volleys was one of my fav, I think I played a version of 9 lives, it was called 5-a-catch. Team had to score 5 before keeper saved and caught the ball 5 times.

Yeah, they're all roughly the same. Like, nine lives, we all had nine lives, you would lose a life if you shot wide or if the goalie caught the ball without it bouncing or touching the ground. Then if you lost you would go in goals. Man we played those games the whole time. We even added our own variations, like scoring an overhead kick, or a volley with your weaker foot would gain you a life.
