PES2011 Football Flags & Stadium Ad-boards / Hoardings
Re: PES2011 Football Flags & Stadium Ad-boards / Hoardings
How come no1 is using BORU1OO's flag render/texture I thought that all the designs made but with his background render/texture would look awsome.
Did everyone miss it? it's on page 1.

I am using BORU100's texture - I used it for the MUFC, Hate United and Villa flags!

Using BORU1OO's top notch flag render/texture
Please excuse the Simple Chelsea FC letters, it's just here as an example, not a banner i'd expect anyone to want to use. The reason i post this is to ask, do you think some banners could work like this, where they are slightly sagged or billowing ?
Plus i added a texture to the banner also maybe adds a little more detail ?
That texture is "pattern overlay " when you right click on your photoshop layer and choose blending options. It is the patter effect that looks like a dishcloth, i guess ? Set the blend mode to " OVERLAY " and it shouldn't effect your colours even if the effect is 100%
Maybe if it DOES effect them, you could just go into Hue/Saturation after everything is merged and readjust the colours back to how they should be ?

I don't know if you are referring to my banner, but if you are, would yo usay that the warped effect works or doesn't look right ? I am unsure myself, maybe it'll look odd when pated onto a stadium teir ? Maybe they should just be squared off like the others posted on here before ? Can i ask your thoughts on that particular issue, soz !

When you have time Boru, I´m sorry for requesting much, don´t want to be annoying but do you think you could do both of these signs or something resembling them?:
1rst (long one) FRENTE ATLETICO ULTRAS FONDO SUR

2nd INFIERNO ROJIBLANCO

Just for starters - I'll do some more Rangers and Celtic later.

Re: PES2011 Football Flags & Stadium Ad-boards / Hoardings

I tried a more detailed banner this time...
What do you think of the sagging ? Doesn't work ? I am still not sure.
I only ask because it's be nice if there are some flat out banners as you can see in those photos previously posted and some sagging ones too ?
Or not necassary ?

@ Jaymez - Nice.
Its up to you what you think looks best. A few saggy one's could look class, but I guess we won't know until we've tried the Stadium Editor. I really want to get my hands on it!
Also, I'm getting to grips with the texture.

Also @ Jaymez - What's the effect you use whereby Terry and Lampard are made up of white and blue? I'm guessing its in the 'Image > Adjustments' menu, and you have to merge the blue background with an edited photo?

Re: PES2011 Football Flags & Stadium Ad-boards / Hoardings
@ ShadyKnight. Re: posterizing photos
1) First cut out as much background as you wish/need to from your source file.
I cut out me here as an example, susing LAYER VIA COPY ( or cut )
2) Make sure it is a layer on it's own and disregard any background now, you only need to use the layer that you just made
3) go to, in photoshop dropdown menu
IMAGE
ADJUSTMENTS
THRESHOLD
play with that until you are happy with the right amount of detail
4) now using the wand select at 99 or 100 % Tolerance choose and make a layer of the white parts of your pic
5) copy n paste or drag them onto your flag/banner background and you're done
6) Maybe need to add a little blur or "posterize image" slightly to make it more weathered.
7) Once my banner is complete i ususally merge all layers into one single layer ( not flatten it, choose from dropdown menu LAYER - MERGE VISIBLE ) and i right click on the layer in the side bar and choose " BLENDING OPTIONS " It'll probably ask you to disregard all hidden layers ect when you want to merge it.
8) I choose " PATTERN OVERLAY "
9) choose the one that kinda resembles dishcloth material
10) scale it to your banner so it looks correct
11) make sure it's BLEND MODE is set to OVERLAY amd it should just add a little material feeling to the banner, tho i must say i really love how sharp you get your banners. Mine seem a little blurry in comparison.

I am sure there are faster / easier ways to create the posterized effect with detail, but i am using an ancient Photoshop 7 copy to make everything, not a sparkly new CS version

@Jaymez - What a star. Thanks for the walkthrough. Much appreciated for sure.
P.S. Is that you in the photo? If it is, you've got shades of Christian Bale about you. "WHAT DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?"

Re: PES2011 Football Flags & Stadium Ad-boards / Hoardings

I understand there's a lot of history behind certain sayings on these Rangers & Celtic flags, so I've refrained from using terminology/phrases of which I'm unsure of. Basically I've kept them safe! So if there's certain flags/banners I shouldn't be recreating, will someone in the know drop me a PM. Cheers.
