Don´t want to be a pin, of course you have many requests, maybe in the future you would consider making Atletico Madrid and La Liga flags, banners and adboards???

Lads, I've got the flag texture working - these are just for test purposes. I thought it would be cool to make a few humourous one's or just normal, hardcore loyalty flags.

You make a background first, and then just put that transparent-ish flag folds/creases over the top as another layer via photoshop amirite ?

If so, PLEASE can you tell me the formula for the folds/creases as i'd love to make some flags also. Your's look great by the way

I got it looking how I wanted just now. Its pretty simple - feel like a noob for not getting it done earlier.

You place the flag texture over the complete flag image (i.e. flatten all layers of text, images, etc), then set the flag texture layer to 'Multiply'.

The only reason the flags above look okay is because I've had to reduce the total size of the flag, because the original flag texture is only 512 x 200-ish. My full-sized flags I've created in PS are 800-900 px wide, so I'm thinking that if I stretch the flag texture to 800-900 px it won't look that good. Its all trial and error at the moment.

I tried making my own flag texture from scatch yesterday, and it is HARD. I really want to make a 1000px by 500px so I don't get any pixellation. I can't get the fabric folds, shadows, highlights, etc, sorted. I just entered "create flag texture" in Google and a fair number of tutorials pop-up. Take your pick and see if you have better luck than I did.
