Allow me to introduce myself...
Allow me to introduce myself...
Afternoon...
My name's Steve and I look after the PR in the UK for Konami. I just wanted to drop in and say thanks for all your comments and suggestions over the last few weeks.
We are delighted to have got such a response to the initial press release and Messi in-game image, and can promise you that a lot more exciting news is on its way. Obviously, there has to be structure to any PR campaign, and I have to keep everyone happy: games mags, lifestyle press, TV, radio, online, etc, but this site has a stunning collection of die-hard fans, and I would be mad not to make sure such ardent supporters aren't kept aware of all we have planned.
I drop in a fair bit and go through the posts, etc, and also work closely with Jon and the PES team to ensure feedback is monitored and registered. I cannot give too much away at this point, but, when I can (and it will get easier as we get further into development, I promise), I will post whatever snippets I can and even answer a few questions if I have the time!
I can assure you, though, that we are very excited about PES 2010. From what I have seen, heard and been involved with, it is genuinely time to get excited. The team is buzzing, and structural stuff within the expanded PES team is very exciting indeed.
Anyway, many thanks again to you all - and, of course to Adam and Suff for their sterling efforts. Yes, even you Adam...
All the best,
Steve

Re: Allow me to introduce myself...
Wow.
Fair play for coming on Steve, I don't envy you (apart from your sneak peaks at PES!!)
I have said previously that while i would love a Konami rep on here to discuss things with us, I felt it would be unworkable givent he sheer number of questions and pestering you would get. But hopefully it doesn't get too daunting and you don't get pestered too much.
I also hope you won't be keeping too much of an ear out for 'hints' from a certain forum user
.
Again though, cheers for coming on and letting us know that you will be doing so again in the future with feedback on how the development process is going. You PR guys certainly seem a lot more clued in to what the community wants this time round, fair play.
Good luck!

Hi Steve,
Thank you so much for your brave endeavour into the die-hard realm of PES addicts
I for one would like to say thanks to Konami and yourself for the much needed response to the feedback of the fans.
Hope we can all help to make this game THE one!!

Welcome Steve, an absolute honour to have you on here!
For all the guys who pm'd me, yes he's the real deal! No fake, not making it up. Steve is the real hero here, not me. He works hard for you guys by searching through sites and forums, then feedbacks what the community are saying.
In my eyes he's a community legend in the making!
Hope everyone welcomes Steve to the community, and asks him millions of questions he can't possibly answer!

Hi and welcome Steve to WENB,
we always knew that you guys were looking into the site, so its great that we even have a name to a ... user (obviously no face yet :-p )
Great to have you introduce yourself, and be assured that we all understand the world of PR and all constraints etc.
we won't pester you too much for info - i'm sure you'll let us know, when you can.

If he really wants to be a community legend he needs to go by his Live or PSN handle, like Major Nelson and CliffyB

Re: Allow me to introduce myself...
welcome aboard steve.
one question i would like to see answered is the one regarding master league, because in the previous games there was just nothing new that would make me play it as i used to.

Like I said, a legend IN THE MAKING
But lets keep the questions to Steve a bit more substantial, stuff like short sizes isn't really what we want in here
Knowing how busy he is, I'm sure he'll pop in here now and again throughout the day.

SteveM, as THE oldtimer of the PES-forums I welcome you
I am sure in your search through the posts you have read some of my posts, so you know who I am
More and more signs are there that this year will be the big one and your appearance is certainly one of them
To ask you to answer one of Adam's possible million questions is a bit premature, as you are obviously not allowed to answer them
Maybe you are permitted to elaborate on known matters, like motion capture: Will it slow down the game?
Again, welcome to our community!
