Master League Favorit Player Of All Time
Alright lads, time to go back down memory lane. I want you to write down a little piece of history. We have all talked about favorite ML Team and what not, but here i want you lads to talk about you a player that you had signed as a young lad and watch him grow into a dominating figure.
I have 2 players in particular. Both came into the same ML Team yet one came at the end of the first career and i had the pleasure of having both playing together. It was wonderful to play with i have to admit. lol.
First player was De Guzman from Canada who played for Deportivo La Coruna. Signed him into my 3rd ML Season. He slowly grew into a dominating holding midfielder. The only reason i decided to keep him was for one definying moment. Game tied at 0-0, De Guzman hit a wonder strike from 35 yards out. It made fall in love with him for some reason. And the love had paid off in the future. His control to hold the play was impecipble(spl?). And his ability to hit a strike from outside the box to hit the far corner was just a peach. It wasnt often mind you, but it was the timing that it came at that always made him stand out.
As De Guzman's peak reached its full height, it was time for Manager Moe to search for another young lad to take control of the midfield. Mind you i had good ones surrounding De Guzman. But i needed someone who i thought would be great. Yet at the same time i decided to change formations. Found myself a great formation where the DMF would always stand just outside the penalty area on the edge of the semi circle. So i decided to nurture a young DMF who could stop the team from running down the middle and at the same time let a shot fly when ever i please and create havoc in the box if a rebound emerges.
I found this player in Ruben Oliveira. I dont remember where he is from, but if im not mistaken, he is Brazilian. Found him in the AC Milan ranks at a young age of 21/22 years of age. Took him in and made an impact within the season. What i loved about Ruben Oliveira was his sense of football. He's positioning was second to none. When i gave him a day off, i felt his absence within 10 minutes of the game. When on attack, he moves up, yet always stayed behind the ball if not on par with the ball dribbler. With Maldonado on wings, Ruben Oliveira always was at the rigth place at the right time, if i cross the ball into the box and it was headed out, there he was ready to pounce on the ball. If i dribbled into the box and wanted to pass the ball back, there Oliveira was to unleash a one timer shot that surprised the goalkeeper. Volley? No problem. Semi-Volley? No problem. Ruben was the Man!
My god, i remember playing both Ruben Oliveira and De Guzman at the same time for half a season. It was the most dominating time of my Master League Season. That year i ended up winning the Treble. Mind you i have never done it since. The feeling of getting that achievement will never be forgotten and i know its because of these to lads that i arrived to where i did. Mind you i have had great attackers, Luis Fabiano comes to mind, yet, no one dominated and dictated the game like these two lads. Ruben Oliveira though, surpassed De Guzman in every way possible. lol.
So, anyone got a particular player they would like to talk about? Something to pass time until the next PES 2011 news comes along.

Re: Master League Favorit Player Of All Time
I honestly don't remember half of my players since I don't play master league "seriously" since PES 6.
I remember some, Martins was a "goal-shitting" machine
Hum.. Heitinga.. Was trying to remember the names of the rest of my "classics" but I honestly don't remember.

the portuguese minanda, was really funny, powerfull shot but no accuracy, when you would shoot with him the ball would always go forward, almost impossible to place shots with him

Re: Master League Favorit Player Of All Time
Anyone remember Natchegal and Balotta from the master league in the ISS days? What a pairing those to were
I've got a quite a few favourites. There was a keeper in ISS days who played for Austria, he was called Wohlfart. He was about 38 and his stats were pretty poor but my word, it was like having a brick wall in front of goal. Him and Andreas Herzog won me many World Cups back in the day.
Ebbe Sand was a goal machine in the early PES', absolute clinical finisher and impeccable in the air.
In PES 5, Collins John turned into a freak. I remember having a bet with a friend that he would surpass 1000 master league goals before he retired. I never made it past the 10th season though, he had 700 odd goals and still had about 4-5 great years left in him.
In PES 6, I had a young Russian player called Rebko, his nickname was The Serge (after the film Sgt. Bilko), he became the complete player.
No players of the next gen PES' really come to mind when thinking about the legends of the Master League.

Re: Master League Favorit Player Of All Time
Oh man i just remembered two lads from my PES 6 Master League. Ruskin and El Moubarki. Specially El Moubarki. I kept him all his Career in my team until he actualy retired. If i could, i would have Retired his number as well. At the start he is just a physical force as a Right Back. Work with him a few years and he becomes a deadly passer with a some pace to help provide an overlapping run. And possesses a powerfull shot from time to time. I remember attempting a courageous 50 yarder with El Moubarky because i was getting frustrated by my oponent in one of the matches and just let one unleash with the lad. I was surprised to have hit the bar and make the keeper scramble for the save. lol. It was great to see. Too bad it bounced out though. If that had gone in, would have been the best goal i had scored, but it turned out the be the best attempt ever. lol.
What impressed me about Moubarki though was his deadly pinpoint long ball through passes. When he had the ball, he almost always hit the path of a side midfielder running down the side to Maldonado (Greatest ML Player in ML History. Most Assists and Top 5 in Goals Scored)
Oh man, If PES 2011 is any good as they are saying, i see myself playing another 20 Seasons of ML.

Re: Master League Favorit Player Of All Time
Nice thread By the way.
Shinji Ono - More of an attacking centre midfield playmaker type guy , although I used to play him DM he was an ace tackler for some reason and a great reader of the game . When he won possession his superb technique and vision allowed him to dictate play like a cheap but as effective andrea pirlo
I Cant really do this type of thing anymore because of this overall stat NONSENSE , his stats will decrease if I play a guy in a position hes not used to.
Dirk Kuyt - (at feyenoord) was a goal machine his outstanding technique meant he could shoot and score from any angle inside 25 yards from the goal !!
He had a great long shot too. Blasting them over the keeper from distance
MOEOM - mate I actually just discovered Ruskin from a pes5 master league last month , first time I ever noticed the guy but hes a great player
and hes scottish im sure !!

Re: Master League Favorit Player Of All Time
Valeny was always a great hard worker for me. So lacking in skill and technique but on the odd occasions he would burst forward and surprise me on how far he'd get.
Buying players for PES9 it was Hamit Altintop. He was the first player I bought using my default players and as my fellow PES players will know, the first buy is crucial considering your current team and your lack of money in the first season. He was so strong and had all nicely averaged out yellow stats for me that he ended up getting me promotion virtually by himself.
Park Chu Young was always a legend too. I can't really say and out and out player who has done so much more than the others.
Oh and that Ruben Oliveria guy always ended up at Juventus or someone big on my PES games and always scored against me too!

Re: Master League Favorit Player Of All Time
My three favourite players are from PES 2009.
They are Bonnet (left midfielder, ultra fast), Nicolita (right midfielder, amazing ball control) and Martin Fenin, a striker who scored nearly everything.
I'd never forget any of those

Re: Master League Favorit Player Of All Time
I still play my PES5 ML and my team is currently a force to be reckoned with. Having won the D1 cup and League last year and losing in the Champions League Final to AC Milan i kept mostly the same team from last and added some padding to the bench.
My most valued players on this team are Bos playing the DMF role with Borowski from Germany. This is an air tight team in DMF. They are both amazing together but sadly Borowski is getting up in his years and I feel like next season i might get rid of him and add in another CB to the formation instead of a DMF as my sides are very exposed at times.
I have the amazing Robinho playing as my lone AMF and he is amazing. My subs for him ain't too shabby neither as I having Kaiser who is turning into a solid player and I need to find a way to fit both into my starting 11.
At striker I signed three great players. All from the youth department. Schwarz from Germany is solid. He is tall, powerful, and very consistent. Next I have Carter from England who is a great sub and can add a spark to the team. And finally I decided to sign Matic the Croatian who is notable for his height at 203. He is a beast on headers and his foot skills are decent as well.
