Now tell me if that is disrespectful. And its not just that, thousands of forum topics, petitions, mails etc. I don't know what else, maybe send them a Valentine card.

So the fact is that Peter Moore does not want to make a proper game for PC. The main reason is piracy so please don't try to defend EA cos we all know the reason.

And if its not too personal, you work for Ubisoft right ? :)

Ivan, I have no doubt you are one of the good guys. Your responses have been polite and somewhat considered. My anger isn't aimed at you, its the vocally abusive guys.

Finally, its not all linked on piracy at all. Its the cost of investment in PC . I'm sure piracy is taken into account, but that isn't the only reason.

Like I said, a nextgen PC version will comes eventually, but thats more down to the higher spec PC's being in more homes over the years, and tech costs going down.

For me it makes sense, but some PC owners don't want to see the obvious.

One thing I don't get is that, fifa on pc looks like a cartoon-game. I played fifa 10 on my pc, and I couldnt run it, it was like 25 fps or something. It killed my computer. Then I tried pes 2010 on highest settings, and it was smooth as silk. Pes 2010 looks 10 times better than fifa on pc, and it's next gen. I don't know what kind of engines EA are using, cause if some game should run smooth on my pc, it should be fifa.

Fifa 10 on PC is just unoptimized on purpose, I think. Just to show us that the PC can't handle the graphics or the other lalala talk which EA have thrown at the FIFa PC fans all over the world.
Keeping your system always up to date is costly, but it doesn't mean that you should always have the best hardware available to run every new game. My system was very very good 2 years ago and PES 2010 didn't stand any chance, my rig run it with constant 60 fps on the highest resolution available for my 24" monitor which is 1980x1080.
But, when I run Fifa 10 the damn game lags and Fifa's pc graphics are shite comparing to PES 2010!

Talks like, PC can't handle next gen graphics, PC's which can run next gen games are too expensive, The accessories to play sports games are hard to find and they are a real bug are just ridiculous.
Of course if you buy a notebook, you might not be able to run the game at full speed, but cmon even the new notebooks are very very powerful machines. EA must just look at the modding communities on both sides, those fellas are doing one helluva job for their beloved games and the opportunities for Fifa NG PC will be immense!
If you search for a bit at soccergaming you will find that a group of modders have made an outstanding mod for Fifa 10 PC - Fifa 2010 World Cup South Africa!

The sales part is a bugger, but cmon there is piracy everywhere, not on PS3 :), but Xbox 360, Wii, PSP, PC and almost every other console and this piracy will be always present.
For example PES5/6 was pirated on the PC, but when people saw how amazing this game really is, the damn servers were constantly full! PES 5/6 was one of the best selling sports titles on the PC and when Konami have shut down the servers, the community made their own server and the spark of PES6 Online will always shine.

I just think that EA must bring the Console/PC war to and end, release the same game as the console one for pc too or just end it.

@ELviS

I don't know about intentional unoptimization but I would say its a lack of care for the game. Can't really blame the guys who work on it cos they do what they can.

I agree, maybe in 2007 it was right, but now no way. Anyone who expects a good game has a good PC so. If Konami can deliver a properly optimized game I think EA can do it too.

They said we will have news on 14th July so we will have to wait till then. Although I can't really understand why they are waiting for so long, but they probably have their reasons. I just hope that they will surprise us with a good game and not the same with "new" features.

I've been quite harsh with my judgement and the real problem causing Fifa 10 PC to lag and being almost unplayable on good systems is the old engine which was just nuked with high resolution textures which were obviously very difficult for the CG engine to process.

i think EA will make a NG game for pc
i mean why would they lie about that ?
u knw every year when talk came to the pc version they always try to avoid the speech of pc NG engine and telling about the new improvments with a promise to work hard to provide a NG game for pc at the next year
but this year they have officialy announed that the NG engine for ps3 anf 360 had arrived to pc
and i dn knw how to explain that point but they invited those guys to test the pc version for the 1st time
it would be so bad if they annoinced that the pc version will be the same this year
but when they annonced that it will be a NG so they must mean that it will be a NG !!
they can't lie about this cause they weren't forced to say that from the begining
whatever i hope if the game wasn'y a full NG , at least it will be a real start to give som attention to pc version for next years it will be great for all of us to have a 2 great football games on pc .. nothing more than competition will make both companies fo thier best
PES 2011 : That's how to make a foatball game

I was always a lurker of this particular thread on the forums... The only reason I'm posting now is because I am amazed that none of the PC users came here to apologize once to Adam. I am also a PC gamer (but I have a PS3 as well) and I feel obligated towards Adam for giving us the good news heads-up by hinting that we'd be happy... It is very disappointing that none of the others came to say either "thanks for the hinted info" or "sorry for the constant nagging"...
Anyway I will say thanks to Adam, and I apologize for the behavior of the other PC gamers...

Well, I'm not happy but thats not really important. And I don't think anyone insulted Adam here.

What a strange thread. I have to say that I voiced my opinions on this somewhere else.. but why there is this 'difference' between platform communities is weird. Everyone just wants to play the games. No-one should have more of a sense of entitlement than anyone else. Accusing any one area as being rude or disrespectful is a sweeping and unhelpful generalisation, though probably born of frustration.

At least things have headed in the right directin finally, and of course it's fair to thank Adam for giving people hints about this.

I don't understand why anyone thinks that the consumers should be grateful for having a product. Maybe my political views inform my ideas here, but I can't help but believe I should rarely have to feel grateful to a company for giving lucky me the opportunity to give them money so they can make a profit. I have size 9 feet. If I wanted a certain pair of shoes, only to find that they only came in 8 or 10, supposedly because they sold more, I'd be a bit p*ssed off. I'd thank the company for sorting that issue out, if they did - but I'd not feel like they were doing me a favour by having some in the first place. I'd feel initially let down, which is what EA have made the PC market feel for many years. Some don't articulate those feelings well, but some don't articulate their response to that well either. Rise above, you know?

Ultimately, consumers give the company money. That's the only gratitude going on, as far as I see it, and as individuals who have patronised companies before, I can understand people feeling aggrieved at feeling they are not being catered for. Being rude and offensive helps nothing and no-one, but how anyone can point the finger at the PC community for this above the console one is utterly beyond me. I'm not a massive gamer, really, so maybe I just don't know the score. But I've generally seen console players being more immature and younger as a broad definition. You only have to think about console flame wars to see why, and look at some of the user demographics.

And the football fan comment annoyed me - mainly because I hear that most on my club forum.. "if you were a real fan you'd have gone away to Carlisle on a weekday night" and so on. You know, bleeding-heart super-fan types. I am a real fan, I've got a season ticket, I've played at my clubs stadium paying a fair bit to do so in a charity game. I've followed my team for 20 years. I just don't see why anyone would want to pay an extra £150 for a game.

Many games are coded in a way that means PC sale is entirely possible. Many of these can be engineered fairly easily to scale back on detail etc to increase saleability to lower end users. Any remotely serious PC gamers will have ok systems even if they're not super-systems. Mine is apparently more capable than both consoles and it isn't new (although I have done video and animation work for a living at times so I've needed decent gfx capability anyway). I do believe there is profit to be had on PCs, otherwise MW2 wouldn't have bothered, BF:BC2 wouldn't have bothered, PES wouldn't bother, Borderlands wouldn't have bothered, GTAIV wouldn't have been ported.. I'm still hoping Red Dead Redemption gets a port. I don't think EA have deliberately shafted PC users as such, but they sure haven't bothered a great deal with them IMO. That's fine, that's a business decision - but it is one for which the cited reasons don't seem to add up, at least as I see them. Again, other companies releasing big name titles on PC verifies this. If it wasn't a viable platform, no-one would bother.

Hi , just one question...
I am a PC player and never actually played Fifa 10 on consoles. After horrendous years of Fifa `s pc era i really enjoyed playing Fifa 11...Is there a big difference between console Fifa 10 and Pc Fifa 11..I`m not interested in journo reviews, just wanna know opinion of experienced player, is there much difference?
