Was going to play this the other day but realised i don't have a working DualShock for the PS2. I've been using my PSX control pad
Damn it! I was looking forward to playing the St Petersburg level
Hoping there'll be some news at E3 about it

There was a reporter team at the IO studios recently to ask them about the upcoming Kane & Lynch when one reporter ask what's with the Hitman series. The IO guy replied we are here to talk about K&L and not Hitman. The world would need a new K&L first. (Yeah, right) Anyway, the article also says that the reporter team passed some monitors with Hitman wallpapers on it. So lets hope for the best.

"Unfortunately, the concept art was created as part of a portfolio, [...]
[It was] intended to showcase an artist's style or method of work and does not represent any new Hitman game."

They had better be

David Bateson, the voice of 47 in the Hitman series, says he's been asked to remove details on his website regarding his work on Hitman 5. But the actor confirms a sequel is coming, and it will be "gob smacking."
Speaking to The Gaming Liberty, Bateson was asked for details on Hitman 5 and replied "I have to plead the 5th Amendment on this one. I am under contract not to say anything." But he adds, "There have been delays," and "if the artwork is anything to go by… brace yourself!"
Apparently he's allowed to confirm the game's in progress. Which is hardly shocking, it's a very popular series, and IO Interactive is now owned by sequel-maestros Square Enix.
Further down in the interview, Bateson pays tribute to the legions of dedicated Hitman fans: "That kind of dedication and appreciation of the game deserves repayment … with an even more gob smacking installment in Hitman 5," he tells The Gaming Liberty. "I don't envy IO Interactive for the pressure they must [be] under to deliver. I am utterly convinced they will!"

I've read that'll they're aiming for Christmas 2011, provided there's no more delays

Mr. Bateson’s comments are flattering, though
come as surprise to us, as we are currently not
working with him on any projects

That's a piece out of a quote from german site ps3-talk.de.
