Adam, last questions.
What about players with no ID?
Same running animations? Different styles?

here's where a good edit mode comes in, I for will be going throw some of the players and if there's a variety of running styles to choose from I'll just edit them accordingly.

Not according to this article,
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-05-30-next-gen-pes-to-use-kojimas-fox-engine
"In order to make it that much clearer, it's not the next generation product that Seabass is working on," said PES team manager Toru Kato, "it's something quite new."
My guess is a five-a-side PES

Yes.
...also, as I quoted before, the examiner-article said more will be added with "later versions of the game".
So, I guess this means more via DLC, later.

Seems similar, but there are differences.

This could be the worst news ever. "the level of ball control can be set to automatic". The online part will be flooding with abusers who just play with the easiest setting available, it cant be a fair game if people dont play with the same settings. At least there should be some huge advantages of playing with all options on manual so people and noobs actually wanna learn instead of playing like kids.

Great screens the games sounds amazing thanks for the write up Adam. Can't wait for the pod tonight at 21:00.
Is it true Seabass has left Winning Eleven/PES as it says in the Euro gamer article? or is he working on PES 2014 if you`re allowed to say?

" Seabass, the creator of the PES series history was not present during the demonstration of the last PES 2013 in Sao Paulo. A notable absence as a producer of Konami quickly explained to reporters. "Seabass working on another version of PES." Necessarily a new intriguing. So when we asked developers at a round table, they have simply said "it's a secret project [...] It will probably be unveiled early next year ".
This is evident : a second team led by Seabass would work for some time on a version of PES for the future consoles (PS4 - Xbox 720). Konami would avoid falling behind the competition as was the case with the arrival of Xbox 360 and PS3. FIFA Vs PES, the game could be completely revived with the announcement of the new machines. "
It's really interesting, hope they are working on PES for nextgen consoles...

Please note that Gamewelt translated the japanese commentary to german. Probably they translated this part incorrectly (pass assistance?). I did not find any information about a "ball control"-setting in any other article.
Also, even if there is such a setting: who knows what online-filters will be implemented.

Meristation said that Champions is confirmed in PES 2013: http://www.meristation.com/es/playstati ... go/1780407
Lo que sí está confirmado es la inclusión, una vez más, de la copa Libertadores y la Champions League, dando así una gran importancia a este tipo de competiciones y al fútbol sudamericano.
Translated with google: What we confirmed is the inclusion once again of the Libertadores Cup and the Champions League, giving great importance to these competitions and South American football.

This guy said first negative things

Translation may not be the best from French to English via translator but what about this? Adam, is it your experience different?
I hope that dribbling doesn't pass easily, and that this guy still don't know to play defense on new way.
http://www.jeuxvideo.com/articles/0001/ ... review.htm
The pace has been slowed by such a construction to allow more sedate. Unfortunately, once the joystick in hand, the sensations are totally different. Indeed, the new possibilities of dribbling sometimes lead to situations surreal! Ball at his feet while strumming R2, through the defense becomes a breeze and, hence, the appearance is fast arcade feel. Even with players like Ronaldo it is almost impossible to stop. A feeling reinforced by a grip that focuses on simplicity and accessibility in order to suit all audiences. In short, if Konami really wants to push his way into the simulation and bring it to another standard, it will absolutely have to make some adjustments.

Hi Adam ,
Sorry if this has been touched on ,but how were the ball physics .Was the ball free and did it wobble .
Also are those shots back like in pes 5 n 6 when the player opens up his body and shoots like thierry henry in his Arsenal days.
Thanks and great write up .
Cheers

Glad to see PES team finding their feet again in regards to development, just hope they stick to the vision they have planned out and won't be undone by feedback. @ Adam were the ball physics similar to last year?
"There's also the sense of unpredictability that made PES so alluring back in its heyday - the feeling that a goal could emerge from any situation and that, with the right amount of skill and a little luck, anything's possible",

Re: PES2013 NEWS, DISCUSSION, VIDEOS & SCREENS (Part 4)
One thing that really pleased me about Adam's hands on was the fact that defending becomes almost easy and targeted with certain players.
Now i know some want a complex defending system but it's hugely important IMO, that great tacklers are represented properly and are important when building a team. I want to find it difficult to beat Vidic but be able to skip past Walcott far easier and on the flip side, i want Vidic to be a beast in my team and be able to stop the like of Ronaldo easier.
