Impressed by the professionalism of Konami this year. Everything so far is so slick and well done. The intentions in the additions seem very positive; I really hope that Konami can execute them correctly to create a balanced game of football where the gameplay always remains consistent no matter where you play at or what time of day etc. This is one of my gripes with the past few years. One minute it can be so good, the next terrible.

My thoughts exactly. Obviously if a player invests serious time and effort into learning the controls then it'll be second nature, but it'll certainly requires dexterous fingers. :D

I just hope for online everyone is forced to play on one bar passing or if it went back to PES 2011.

Really don't want to come up against people who can ping pong the ball around and never misplace a pass. That killed PES 12 for me :?

A big problem for me with pes 12 online is the pass support. It should be fixed, and no, NO LOBBIES :).

Konami should workout a realistic way that incorporates everything, timing, pressure, position, luck and stats. And that would just be the only way to play.

Hopefully they'll do that with the shooting.

I hate the word assisted and hate seeing assisted in a football game ....why because I worry that the game online will resemble ping-pong passing fest, thank god we won't be seeing full blown assisted crap for PES2013.

players need to take time out and learn/practice to master the art of passing and shooting PES style - that's one of my main hopes for #PES2013/

I hate assisted too but it has to be in a football game as without it the game would look unprofessional. I know its not about the money they make, its about the gameplay but they should put assisted on there because the game should be played in many ways. They should just ban assisted in online. Anyway when you think deeper about it, shooting assisted will make the CPU decide where the ball lands and if you can master manual shooting you can score way more - in PES 2012 with its assisted shooting you rarely ever score long shots so manual would make it easier if you can use it so banning it wont have a major affect. But assisted passing should definitely be banned

man after my own heart @Magooder I totally agree with ya.

@Shyheim I think the best solution is to have the PES2011 one passing system for online but for offline personal gameplay the assisted passing/shooting option should be available.

The reason it'll be set to R2, is because if it doesn't work spot on and there's problems with it there's another option, due to it being a completely pivotal point in football, surely?

Thinking about it though, what's the regular shooting gonna be like? Just deliberately worse?..

I'd rather it be completely replaced with manual. I wan't it to take ages to learn and get the hang on, then when you do be SWEEEEEEEEET.

Yeah that is the best solution but I only think that should apply for passing and crossing. I think shooting online should be varied as some may not master the skills of manual shooting or some want semi-assisted. Shooting is the only thing I can think of on the top of my head that should be customized online. But offline obviously everything should be customizable

Just popped in to say hi :)

Brazil is awesome, PES has gone down very well.

I know you have many things you want me to say, but you know I can't, especially while I'm here. Embargo is end of the month, but when I'm back in the UK next week I'll try and help you understand improvements in usual ways.

I'll end by saying the press loved pretty much all the improved and new elements in the game, but the love for manual shooting (normal shooting is improved too), the new tackling system and Player ID were the ones that were mentioned first.

One from me is something you fans will understand, I never ever ever had to press super cancel once. It really is free :) Fingers crossed Konami don't change it!

OK, have a nice evening, I'll speak to you soon.

This is what Konami need to do more than anything else, STICK WITH IT.

Adam if you find some time between Brazilian women/playing PES DRILL it into Konami not to change everything like they do every year.

Pleaaaaaase!
