Regarding TEAM STATS, I want them included for the purpose of balancing out the stat allocation for players who play in lower ranking teams. As it is, PES simply doesn't award all players fairly and emphasizes ivy league clubs. Let my exmplain it this way.

Comparison of the same player if he played for two different clubs. LEt's say his overall rating is 80 which makes his a good player. If he plays for Barcelona, his passing and technique stats would be increased by a certain factor. If he played for Real Madrid, his speed and counter attack stats would be boosted by a certain factor.

That same player would have his own BASE STATS, but they would receive a BOOST depending on the TEAM STATS of the club he's playing. That would allow fair allocation of stats to all players and they would be able to play football (unlike now), but their clubs would created that extra difference we would witness on the pitch.

Real Madrid vs Swansea would see two players with the rating of 80 be able to play their football, but Real Madrid player would have that extra edge given to him by his TEAM STATS.

NOTE: This stat boost wouldn't permanently change players stats, only when he's playing for a specific club or his national team. When he changes club, his stats are boosted by the new club's TEAM STATS.

i like it. Almost as if a boost given by the strategical training that that club would give. I couldn't possibly comment on Guardialoas training regime at barcelona but one can make a fair assumption and say short quick passing was a focus. and therefore any player that was to join that club and participate in their training sessions would experience an increase in those stats that reflect the style. obivously with barcelona being a prime example of that style, a player would get a slightly better boost from them then they would under a similar training regime at Swansea.

Perhaps i'm taking it too far now but this boost could even be changeable depending on the time period spent with that club. let's say for example, emile heskey would join barcelona, he wouldn't necessarily feel full effect of these team stats for a short while. (almost like the old 'teamwork' stat on old pes, does that even still exist?) the level of his current attributes could work with the team stats towards how much the increase would be. i think this would also help a manager pick out the right players to fit his style rather than have any old player have a great stat boost just by joining a particular club.

Actually, teamwork would play the same role as it does in BAL today. It takes time for a player to get in sync with his new team. Once you're there, the passing and the teamwork is far more evident. The same method could be applied to STAT BOOST.

It should depend on the PLAYER himself, level of CLUB STATS, quality of the MANAGER and the STAFF. Better the club and the staff, faster and better the stat boost.

the problem is the more i like this idea the more complicated it looks to implement! while the changes aren't exactly wholesale you're looking at quite a few elements in order to balance it out. if they were to look at this and say work on it for 2 years to get it right rather than going half-assed for next gen PES that would be amazing.

Good, so it means there are vids or screen late this month :D

@Adam..

Please pass this pc player hope to see no blur, sharp, and better Level of Detail of graphic quality especially in widecam. Many people appreciate what these great modder have been doing to make PES 2012 such a nice graphic compared to Konami's default so wonder why konami ddid nott provide it from the beginning. Oh yea.. and lighting too especially night game.. cheers, have a nice trip in Brazil, would love to here some infos from there ;)

----------------
PS :
Please support AA in-game too..
25 July demo so far :
1. CPU ai attacking/defensive play and balance --> almost there, need more passing around
2. Cpu crazy-dribbling and crazy one-twos then direct shot exist --> nope
3. Overall graphic colour and night match lighting --> fine, except horrible night match

Actually, the way I see it, TEAM STATS implementation in the way I've described it shouldn't be that complicating at all. Same goes for the rate at which the players receive the boost as we've discussed. BAL method works just fine. Takes an X amount of games for you to become a part of the team and get proper link up and passing going about.

Gathering all the data for the teams and fairly allocating stats is where I foresee a problem.

Since PES is great at creating player individuality with ivy league club players, they tend to handicap the lower ranking team players to a point they're barely able to pass the ball around. TEAM STATS would remedy that problem BUT they require fair allocation of PLAYER STATS before TEAM STATS could be dealt with. It wouldn't do anyone any good if they left the current player stats intact and simply add boost to teams via TEAM STATS depending on their strengths and weaknesses (cause TEAM STATS should define both).

If they were to do that, lower teams would get a slight boost on currently unfair player stats while better teams would get boost to already powerful players stats. In other words, the gap between the two would become even bigger.

The way I see it, it's all about math. Balance out the player stats and simply add a boost to them via TEAM STATS according to each teams playing preference.

Bringing in MANAGERS and COACHING STAFFS and defining their impact on the gameplay is another story. That would take time to implement properly.

As it was mentioned several times now: It is a licensing issue. They are only allowed to put the cup in the game as a whole, without allowing any modification and/or use in other modes. :)

Yeah, but we can do it with the normal Copa Libertadores mode, I used the Brazilian Ronaldo and Veron quite a lot in my ML campaign, just not with 2012 mode, I don't see much difference between the licensing of the two, as probably is the very same contract. Possibly more a problem with new OF structures and such, that are required with the addition of several hundred players, will have to wait for PES2013 to use Ronnie I guess.

I wonder if there will be leaks, even tho Adam and Co. will obviously be honest and respectful of Konami's rules there, i wonder if other people will leak any info ? It usually happens at all of these kinds of things. I just really hope that, if someone DOES leak something, it doesn't come back and bite the community, as a whole, on the ass. I know we are not responsible for individuals and can do nothing about a leak, ourselves, i just worry that any leak will cause Konami to shut the doors on us all for weeks/months, due to the need of one person wanting to be THE ONE who lets everyone know about new news :? And as tempting as it is to want to look, should it happen, it IS bad for the people making the game, because they put their trust in certain people and if someone lets them down, they might even lose trust in ALL PES sites, including this one and even Adam might get news withheld from him when before they'd be happy to converse ?

I dunno, the leak thing, for myself, is a tricky issue. The temptation is there to look, but it's also very irritating because i know that Adam has spent a lot of effort and time getting closer to the team and it could all be for nothing if something big gets leaked ! :|

I hope there are no leaks. It's important to remember Konami have a business plan in place and should be afforded the respect and opportunity to release information about their product when they see fit. That being said, looking forward to hearing and seeing more infos about PES 2013 :D

With all due respect, I don't give a ... about Konami's business plan, advertising skills etc. especially this year. I want a "complete" game finally, after 5-6 years in so called "next gen" era. So, sooner the better knowing the truth about this year's version. Dissappontpents are enough!

That's fair enough. I share your sentiments to be honest. I just hope it doesn't impact us in a negative way. I guess, nothing much will change anyway even if there is a leak. Will probably carry on as planned ?

like you said Silverstone Konami does have a business plan, the thing we will get news, videos and eventually a demo I know the waiting bit is hard - but hang in there lads.

I'm pleased that Adam is there is Brazil - you can see now that our ideas, concerns and comments will reach the ears of the right people at Konami.
I'm always gonna stay on this website because now you can see clear links from this site to Konami.
