A bit of a sour taste that it has taken this long. However, maybe it had something to do with PAL.... Not sure. Anyway, hope the patch influences game play as much as many have stated. Again, here I am in December slightly bored with the footie offerings from both.

Don't I have to delete my OF to install the patch?

No, you don't. As soon as you start up PES, you'll be prompted to download the newest patch.
This does NOT affect your OF, it alters the game's SystemData, and hence the gameplay.

As soon as your game is up to date, you can download the DLC (boots, kits) in ExtraContent.
However, this might affect your OF, but as there are no player updates, I hope that the OFs are untouched as Konami have promised. But you should wait until someone confirms if the OF is affected or not.

For all the people in North America that are miffed about the patch taking so long to arrive, I recommend buying the game from the UK in the future if you have a PS3. I've been doing this for several years now and It just makes sense for the following reasons:

- You get patches sooner.
- You get the game sooner.
- It doesn't cost anymore than the U.S. price.
- You have a wider selection of option files.

The patch for us version sucks... It doesn´t correct the shooting and the cursor change.

dunno what you are saying?!?! the patch has improved the gameplay...
its much responsive now and faster, shooting is much better(easier).
cursor change is slightly better than b4, the only bad thing now is the defense..!!

the us patch fixed cursor change and shooting but now the game is just rubbish. Its back on rails at times and the animations or lack there of are starting to tick me off. Yes i have seen new ones since the patch and dlc but all these fundamental turning, accelerating etc animations are lacking. Konami has also resorted back to the fifa style were every team can pressure like barcelona etc. Instead of making the defensive ai play better, they just boost them. Another annoying thing is when your player gets stuck behind another player when running and they begin to slide because of lack of animations. The most annoying thing though is the rubbish pressuring. Before the patch, there was a dynamic pace to the game and now its like pes 2010, fast and unrealistic. ATM this game is just pissing me off.

It was the same after the patch 1.02 on the PC version. Thank Goodness, Patch 1.03 fix this crap.

Totally agree. I dont bother playing games anymore unless its an important one in ML. Sometimes i still blow it but it ALWAYS pisses me off. If not for simulating the matches i might never play this game.
