Please everyone use this thread to keep all the impressions in the one thread as they have already been posted in the PES 2011 NEWS, INFORMATION, VIDEOS & SCREENS (PART 33) and PES 2011 FULL GAME IMPRESSIONS (PART 1) threads.

Cheers peeps. Would be good just to have them all listed together. Perhaps one of the mods on here could transfer some of the threads posted already into this one

the patch hasn't appeared on the 360 yet, but when i tried to play a game
0nline it told me my version of the game is incompatible, anyone else had

Unfortunately I can not test the patch until late in the evening. However, I really wonder if it is now possible to directly play (i.e. pass or shoot) the ball coming from the oponent. E.g. before the patch you were not able to directly pass the ball to a teammate after intercepting a pass from the oponent.

i think its out already .. cuz i have cpl of games and the shooting feel so defrent plus gameplay it changed .. so iam not sure whats going on .. cuz i deleted all my saves for pes on my hard drive and i did download the dl pack again so i dont know if that the new on or the old same one?

Yes it's out now.
Of course the gameplay is different, as they changed some parts of it. You cannot use the cross-clitch anymore, where the CPU gave you too mucht room in the past.
Also there seems to be a better cursor-switching ( did not try it yet ) and shooting had been improved too.

I had this problem but after I deleted my system data, I reinstalled the updates and now I can play online, does this mean I have the patch now? On the downside I've lost my Match Points on offline mode.

but 100% player switching is how it should be, that immediately makes this game 15% better.

shooting seems the same so far, but just one game played... going to kill more games and report back.

but for all those like me who knew the game was fundamentally bust due to player switching.. we have a game again!

played using new patch for 3 hours.. well konami finally released PES 2011 after 1 month of free beta test from users.. now this is the road they have to folow for next years.. from my pow the game is more smoth, no more jagged animations, more responsive etc.. finally.. i repeat this should be the game when it was released but.. good job konami for fixing that shame beta game...

+10 konami (at least they listen to us and apply fix)

I've heard people feeling no difference. Did you but the cursor settings back to default?

Also, any news on how to take the names off above the CPU's head?

It was set to manual on cursor settings, and i felt total control of switching and the response was perfect.

not sure about CPU names above heads...

patch is 13MB for those who want to know how big/small it is.

I'm thinking we need to either plug in a second controller and change the settings, or move the cursor to the opposition in single player to turn off names.

no adam wean you disable the name above your player heads then the cpu name disable too

Cursor names can be switched of in the controller screen.

Yeah if you set cursor name to none on your settings it turns it off for comp as well.

Though if you choose any of the other options like <1> or username it leaves the player names on for cpu.

I'm find the single player much harder either that or im having a stinker

Much more pressure when on the wings and receiving throw ins. I won the champ league with spurs the other day and since the patch I have been beaten by wolves and wigan in the league. cpu seem to much better in attack too

I think shooting has improved, haven't expirienced any floaty shots so far, also the rainbow flick seems to be less executable as it was. I'm still not sure I have the right patch though... I had to delete my system data and then reinstall the update assuming this is the patch .
