WENB Exclusive - First PES 2010 Screen Released!

just been over at the EA fifa forums, haven't been over since re-launch or WENB, and the screenshot is causing quite a stir to say the least!!!

Yes I saw some reaction.

Are people impressed or is it more like PES vs FIFA fans?

well youve obviously got your fan boys, and people who just love football game (and maybe have a slight alleigence to pes )

The fanboys screamed fake/photoshop/not ingame, the other were very excited and think EA may need to step it up again. just out of interest Adam, do you know or how to you think EA would've reacted/felt about this screen?

What i've noticed is.....PESfan sites are happy about the screenshot while gaming sites are VERY VERY sceptical.

Just look at how beautiful and GREEN the grass looks... I hope this is how PES2010 grass looks (we haven't seen that yet).... it's just more realistic than that pale looking palette they opt for every year...

And in 00:38 ----> super-fantastic jersey physics....
..........00:55 ----> heavenly grass.

The only thing I have against this video is the baggy shorts and the player models who all seem to have a fat-ass...

But the rest of the video has unbelievable animations.... WHEN..... when can this materialize to real gameplay?

It looks too 'cardboard' the hair and ears look stuck on and the rest seems 2d.

come on, we all saw Pro Evo 9, there's no way they are going to step up this much. That'll be artwork for the game!

I really want to see some faces from Fifa10 now. My guess is they will look much the same as Fifa09 (as will the graphics as a whole) so EA could really be playing catch-up in this area.

Is it true Konami have been developing this for over 2 years since PES 2008. If that's the case this should be one hell of a game and now I know why Suff & Adam are always like 2010 will be the true PES game in the podcasts.

In terms of animations - a BIG yes.But in terms of graphics it should be even better (player models and faces).Don't expect such things though as it's not likely to happen.I remember the days I watched those intros 1-2 times a day and was dreaming of a game like that...I find myself playing a lot of PES5 lately to relive those days.

In terms of animations - a BIG yes.But in terms of graphics it should be even better (player models and faces).Don't expect such things though as it's not likely to happen.I remember the days I watched those intros 1-2 times a day and was dreaming of a game like that...I find myself playing a lot of PES5 lately to relive those days.

Of course I was refering animations, not just animations, but the physics and the way those feel, it has the intention to represent the reality and they achieve that in those CGI. After all those years, they should be able to do such thing in the game code

If Konami sorts out animation, online and graphics, then theyll definitly outshine ea sports. lol pes is and was good game but it needs some refreshment unknw what saying. Fifa 09 is top class game I respect EA sports for what they have done, but still i didnt had the feeling like in pes5 and 6 specially pes5 ,so far the best football game ever played.

Its great news but i hope we don't have another drought of news after this . It would be great if they released at least one screenshot every week to keep the excitement going aswell as any other news

And the news about the stadiums sounds very promising . But Konami if your listening it would be good if you included a variety of stadiums of different sizes. Not just the big stadiums. I'm talking about smaller grounds of just 10,000 capacity up to the huge ones.

Yeh been chatting to EA earlier today, they are impressed but feel FIFA 10 holds up well against it. Very diplomatic answer.
