2009/12/21 PATCH FILE DETAILS

(1)Users can now save all settings except "Mark Settings" when stocking their Game Plans. The Stocked Data will also be loaded automatically.

(2)Icons showing the connectivity status of both the user and the opponent(s) have been changed as below:

This means the formation load bug has been fixed also I ave played 6 games with the new patch and the refs are alot stricter, I have conceded 3 penalties and won 3 in 6 games also the ball seems to move alot more realistically than before I dont know why but that is what i have seen.

Anyone able to comment on any GOALKEEPER improvements at all, since they got the update and played a few more games ??

i played a barce real match, casillas held on to something he would normally parry and valdes was good, this could be cause they are top keepers. Will have to try more matches. I have also won a penalty and conceded. The ball moves more realistically eg bobbling etc

Im at work at the moment, but this is all sounding promising, if some are conceeding and getting Penalties and for some the refs are actually working, this sounds the best xmas present those who enjoy the next gen could be hoping for, I guess the Balls and Boots are a nice little extra. This is good work by Konami

In all honesty I think the headline stuff will do doubt be graphical, meaning new boots and kits.

Gameplay stuff might come in, but expect slight tweaks rather than wholesale changes. After the last update I noticed slight improvements, but nothing major to make an impact.

Expect the same here.

Nice how you get a big single picture of all the new boots and balls after the download. Unfortunately Konami didn't implement the new Adidas ball.

The only problem i have is...

I asked a question, so therefore i was given an answer, thats cool. AND i am grateful for everyone who took the time to answer me :)

I just wish that, if there IS a change in keepers and refs that it was stated in the update info.
Because, as much as i respect each person's views on what is going on, on the pitch, and believe me i DO respect your views guys, it is always such a subjective thing to the person playing at that moment.

I wish Konami would TELL US, hey we improved aspect X and aspect Y too ! Rather than do it covertly because i sure would love them for it if they did so and told us ! Then we would know for certain that it is fixed, because people talked about the last update improving things, but i sadly didn't notice a difference on the pitch.

Again, just to reiterate my previous posts, i hope i am so wrong and i will gladly eat my words if i am because i just want the game to kick ass, i don't want to rubbish it !

New PES 2010 DLC and Update

Postby Seabass » Mon Dec 21, 2009 2:06 pm

Here's a nice early Christmas present for everyone

Konami will today release free content and an update for PES 2010 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC-DVD.

The update makes it even easier to use the game’s comprehensive formation settings, and also adds icons to show the connectivity status of online players. All settings can now be saved and Stocked Data will be loaded automatically, speeding up play immediately. Likewise, the new connectivity icons will show the user as a Grey icon, with Green, Yellow and Red icons detailing the quality of the opponent’s connection, with red being the worse.

The update also improves match making between users of the PC-DVD version of the game with different processors.

3 new balls and 10 new boots are offered as additional free DLC.

OK I need help here,

Guys, I think the game has changed for the good...but like someone mentioned I don't want to say it like fact until I hear everyones opinion.

What I find is this:

More responsive, smoother gameplay
Accurate passing, less randomness
Better idea of when you are going to win/lose the ball in a tackle
Keepers holding more
Loads more fouls given

Now the above aren't drastically improved, but enough to make me think they're changed.

Everyone please get back to me after playing a few games and let me know what you think.

To add...

Played some more, not sure about the tackling anymore, as had a situation where I was locked behind an opposition player while holding X. Seems improved, but the same annoying walk alongside someone is still there.

But have to say, hope I'm not wrong, but the refs are defo stricter. 3 matches, and had 2 pens so far. Also loads more FK's too. But the pens came from tackles that I would never have got a pen for before the update.

Looking very promising so far.

Get back to me on the responsiveness too guys, I really feel its smoother and tighter. Playing on PS3 BTW.

I played like 5 games on 15min. I did felt that keepers are holding more, don't know about passing and tackling, but I got hell of a lot more fauls around a box, sadly wasn't tackled in penalty area so can't say anything about it.

Thanks for that.

For me 100% ref's fixed :D

So happy I could man-cry

Just a shame the pens are still side on.

If the patch makes different to the gameplay, why cant Konami go out and let us all know what the update will do. Now we have to download it and guess whats changed. If they did many improvements. Why not shout it out?
