Players still feels too light, no weight and momentum... Hopfully with new engine, in 2 years time though.

First touch thing is cool, but im more interested in seeing more player individuality, as promised, I dont want to play as Sheffield Wednesday and be able to ping the ball around like Barca, and control the ball on a dime with every player, but we wont see if that has been improved until we play it.

One thing that is still the same though, minor in the grand scheme of things, but one of my bug bears for fifa games, is the kits still look aweful.
Where PES kits are crisp and sharp, fifas are always terrible, smudged and blurry, and the names and numbers on the back distorted and smudged, just looks shite. Get it sorted EA.

I thought I was the only one who saw this....It pains me to play this game because the kits are so horrible and the color scheme for the whole game is off.And still feels like the players are on skates.

I'm happy with the trailer.. First touch system seems promosing... Whatever we see in a trailer we cant really know unless we see a proper gameplay cam.. and even we try demo ourselves... My biggest problem with Fifa is the scripted runs, shootsi long passes etc.. (even in manual) .. I hope they give more freedom to players this year..
As a veteran PES player (1997-2010); I've tried Fifa Full Manual via Fifa 11 this year.. And this is the best Football sim I've ever played... Lets see what EA & Konami has in their hands to show for 2012

"I’m sure we’ve all experienced this frustration in FIFA 12 where you want to take a quick-freekick but the ball runs just too far away or a team mate gets in your way. In FIFA 13 if the ball does run too far from the kick taker, a team mate will now collect the ball and pass it to him, enabling the quick freekick to still take place. It’s totally seamless and totally brilliant at maintaining the match flow. I absolutely love improvements of this nature and this one is bloody excellent.

The same goes for quick throw-ins too which now appear to be bug free with no more dropping the ball, or stumbling idiotically present in this code. But again, if the ball does run too far away from the assigned throw-in position a team mate will collect it, pass the ball to the thrower enabling the game to carry on without delay. Brilliant."

From what I get in Dave's review is that passing is still slow and one has to wait for a century to get the ball. Which is a downfall in Fifa overall.

Just read daves impression on the front page, and im blown away. Seems like the stupid control and 180 turns from fifa 12 dont excist anymore. Cant wait for a balanced realistic game.

Does sound promising, I shall reserve judgement till I play it, but if theyve ironed out some of the things that bug me about FIFA12, ill be reasonably happy.

The main thing for me is the defensive AI and the lack of any "feel" to the players, everyone feels the same and has roughly the same abilities, makes it all a bit stale.

If theyve taken a look at those things, which apparently they have, then it could be promising.

The game looks promising from the impressions and I like that they focused this year on making previous features work together without the need to add more tech into the game. That tweaking can result in a better game ,more balanced and smoother than before. :D

Well, I hope that they played on amateur or something in the trailer, cause that Schalke goal is horrible.... Look at the defender, my god.

Long time before we see any actual gameplay right? Usually first gameplay comes at gamescom in August.

Im waiting for Career Mode news, interesting to see where they take it. Since they rebranded it in Fifa 11 they've been mainly trying to get it to work to a decent level, with a few extra features added in for Fifa 12. This year should be the year they take it to the next level and really make it an immersive game feature. The closer it gets to Football Manager style the better imo.
