regarding attacking Ai and defensive Ai...
Another improvement with regard to Ai. It was mentioned in the presentation of the game in London last month, the CPU controlled players will have more "intelligence" in the chosen path and passes guess. The guards also earned a refinement networks in Ai.

Yeah, the images looks so like Fifa 12, so I hope they had put all his efforts in the gameplay, and something I can see in the pics is that the players looks less floaty :P I mean, in previous years you can see players flying in the pictures, but in the new pics I can see the players with good foot planting, maybe is too early and I can´t have certitude, but I hope in Fifa 13 they improve the foot planting.

Complete Dribble
In FIFA 12 you could dribble just by changing direction,in FIFA 13 this won’t be possible anymore!

This worries me a lot :? I mean, in real life is possible to do it! ...you don't need to do a super dribble to pass through a defense, you can do it only with a change of direction.

But I happy with new AI, I hope they do it good, because the last year was a boring experience playing offline
Sorry my english isn´t good :(

With regards to screens aren't most of the visual improvements made later on in the process anyway? But just something I noticed, the shadow is on the right side of the etihad this year( the far side) ,hope they do the same with other stadiums

(The animations are also an important point for the development team at Electronic Arts, which wants to ensure that the majority of players the game has moves faithful to their real counterparts. For this, a new mocap system is being used)....

So, it's around that time again that I check out the boards for news on the next game. I see nothing much has popped up on the way of anything overly exciting regarding fixing some of the issues I have with the current instalment (and there are a few) which I'll post about later. Right now, the most exciting bit of news, that I can at least fully understand and appreciate, is the use of the new facial capturing technology.
Anyone who has any experience modelling in a 3d package will know just how time consuming it can be, especially when you've to built topology for a individual human likeness from scratch. Usually it's either done by eye-balling or with the aid of an image plane, or a combination of both. It required manual sculpture of the form by hand, and going by previous examples in Fifa games, it seemed that some of their modellers just weren't up to scratch and produced very shoddy likeness'. I know it's not easy, and as I said, it demands a lot of time, and when you've literally thousands of players to go through, you have to pick and choose who to model, so hence the reason for so many generics. That's understandable.
What's so remarkable about this new tech is that there seems to be no real need for conventional modelling any more. It almost makes the modeller redundant in so many ways. What that means, is that where in the past it would take a modeller maybe a few days to accurately sculpt a face, create UV's, textures and normals, now with the Dimensional Imaging software, most of that workflow can be cut out with a few clicks of a mouse, and instead of several days to create just one player, you could probably now create an entire squad of a team in that time. What's even more remarkable is that it also captures and tracks animations and pulls the 3d normals that it creates with it, meaning that facial expressions can be captured to an exact likeness of the person. Basically what all this means is that it's revolutionary. The only other examples of this can be seen in big budget films like Avatar, and in games, LA Noire. How many teams or faces that get this treatment is something that worries me, however, the generics at least should now have some kind of realistic faces with realistic emotions. Goodbye static, emotionless celebrations.

Here's a video of that workflow in action. Note how quickly it re-arranges the topology to suit a specific face type. Impressive.

Where did you find the article that talks about dribbling ? And why isnt it put on the frontpage of the fsb.

But its really shows how dumb ea is. Dribbling is when you shift direction. The problem with dribbling isnt dribbling itselfl, its the ridiculous ball control every player has.

Edit : Found it. Sounds borring

Rutter says Battle for Possession and pass the revised system
David Rutter us recently was available to answer questions about FIFA 13 to answer. During the meeting, the Executive Producer for the FIFA series is also the first major new feature: "Battle for Possession".

"This year we are offering by 'Battle for Possession' is a whole range of new elements that give the defending player really a lot of new features into the hands to influence the game. Just as the ability to body weight and strength to use a football player to an attacker auszukontern and arrive before him, when you're shoulder to shoulder. To prevent the possibility of an attacker by pushing or pushing back from reaching the ball before it or exactly when he takes a pass. These are all really realistic mechanics, the real football players use on the lawn, "said Rutter.

In this context, FIFA 13 , the revised AI, the referee, "Of course, we had to develop the referees for so that he can distinguish between foul of these methods, however, it allows our new players dribbling model also accurately under such circumstances. as just described, to keep control of the ball to a certain extent: one need only think of Messi when he is in the middle of every side beset, but by his skill still in possession remains - the players are somewhat similar in FIFA can do. But if in the long run another player repeatedly harassed by pushing and pulling, it eventually comes naturally to a challenge, "adds Rutter.

And when it comes to pass in the new system will FIFA do something like Rutter confirmed. "[...] For our new mechanics, the fit error in the adoption is not allowed to interfere for the game, you feel even very realistic, and also looks like this - but until you understand what is at stake, we feel it is certainly the case that this mechanism is really strange, but it is much more organic, especially in contrast to the last version where the ball is. as magnetically to the player's feet flew, which just feels wrong only once you get used to the new system. "

Hey guys this is KoA TheGOD & for those of you waiting on news regarding FIFA13 the time has finally arrived EA Sports have Unveiled a Revolutionary Set of Game changing Innovations for the upcoming FIFA 13 in a Press Release this morning and you have to check it if you're a FIFA fan the info is on their Facebook page.

http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set= ... 02718928...

The Press Release

Electronic Arts today unveiled five game-changing innovations that will bring revolutionary changes to EA SPORTS FIFA 13 along with the largest and deepest feature set in the history of the franchise.

"We are perfecting the best sports game in the world with innovations that capture all the drama and unpredictability of real-world football," said David Rutter, Executive Producer for FIFA 13. "These are game-changing innovations that will revolutionize our artificial intelligence, dribbling, ball control and collisions to create a true battle for possession across the entire pitch, and deliver freedom and creativity in attack."

The most sophisticated artificial intelligence ever achieved for the FIFA franchise will drive FIFA 13 on HD consoles and PC. All-new Attacking Intelligence enables players to analyse space, work harder and smarter to break down defenses, and think two plays ahead. Players now possess the intelligence to create, curve, or alter runs to capitalize on openings as they occur, make runs that pull defenders out of position to open passing channels for teammates, and better position themselves for new attacking opportunities.

In FIFA 13 every touch matters with the most comprehensive and intuitive dribbling system ever developed. Inspired by the world's best footballer, Lionel Messi, Complete Dribbling enables players to face their opponent and use precise dribble touches combined with true 360° mobility with the ball, so it's easier to be more creative and dangerous in 1v1 opportunities. Players change direction quicker, are more explosive accelerating with the ball, and are more effective shielding defenders for longer stretches. FIFA 13 1st Touch Control transforms the way players control the ball, eliminating near-perfect touch for every player on the pitch, and creating variety and uncertainty around ball control. Factors such as defensive pressure, trajectory of the ball, and velocity of the pass now impact a player's first touch, creating more opportunities for defenders to win back possession.

The second generation of the Player Impact Engine expands physical play from just collisions to off-the-ball battles between players. Defenders push and pull for position, and use their size and strength to win possession or force opponents into poor touches and decisions before the ball arrives. FIFA 13 Tactical Free Kicks provides the tools to create dangerous and unpredictable free kicks utilising the most skillful players on the pitch. Position up to three attacking players over the ball and utilise dummy runs and more passing options to create elaborate free kicks. Opponents can counter by adding or subtracting players to the wall, creeping the wall forward, or sending a bullet man to intercept the pass or block the shot.

FIFA 13 will also feature: Improved Career Mode with major changes developed in response to requests from the most passionate fans of the franchise New features to enhance the massive EA SPORTS FIFA online offering, including improvements to the wildly popular Head-To-Head Seasons mode Multiple new features and benefits to EA SPORTS Football Club, the live service that is the heartbeat of FIFA Complete authenticity with more than 500 officially licensed clubs.

Additional new modes and features will be announced in the months ahead.
