FIFA 12 News, Information & Discussion Part 6
Re: FIFA 12 News, Information & Discussion Part 6
It's 60 bucks here in the states and no, it's not worth the full asking price. I had a 30 minute bash on the full game today at Fry's and it's a fun enough game set on the highest difficulty setting. It'd be even better if the ball didn't feel so scripted and the animations didn't get in the way so much. I'll pick this up down the road when the price has been slashed.

Impulse buyers beware! Just seen that FIFA Street is 50 quid on the European PS Store
That's criminal.

Imagine all the quality Platinum titles you could buy with £50.00!

Heard there's going to be an announcement about the Euro 2012 game in the near future. Looking forward to that. I've really enjoyed FIFA this year.

I thought EA weren't doing one this year?

How many of them are there?
The name 'Humber' rings a bell. I think you're right. So who is Patterson then? I'm sure he was being discussed in glowing terms a few month back.

Re: FIFA 12 News, Information & Discussion Part 6
Had a few days with FIFA Street now and I really like it. There is a lot of room for improvement but if you liked the demo at all I recommend picking this up when the price is right for you.
Likes…
- Good immediate fun and addicting gameplay.
- More serious approach (long may it continue).
- Street control feels good.
- Tour mode is quite good and deeper than I imagined.
- Numerous venues are different sizes and nicely detailed.
- The ball seems to behave slightly differently in many of the venues.
- Game is a good challenge on higher difficulty settings..
- Last Man Standing mode and first to score ? goals matches (had a game last almost 2 hours trying to get to 5 goals) are great.
- Nice presentation.
- Being able to play with less air in the ball
- Player chatter in different languages is a nice touch.
- Showboating not mandatory although a few proficient skills helps.
Improvements…
- Animations get in the way sometimes and friendly AI is a bit dodgy on occasion.
- Passes need to be freed-up a bit more.
- Need the ability to make a lobbed shot.
- Need to be able to re-map the controller shoulder buttons.
- Set pieces seem a bit awkward from the wide cam perspective. A setup like other FIFA games would be better, I think.
- Deeper edit mode.
- Need more defensive options and tactics..
- Having to assign each of your teammates skill points is tedious. Need an option to auto-level up.
- Player chatter seems to lag behind the action sometimes.
- Too many police sirens in some of the venues.
- Would like to see more commentary.
NOTE: Haven’t played online.

Tried the demo last night with basement expectations of it. It was immediately apparent how different it was once I felt the dribbling system, which is absolutely brilliant and possibly the most intuitive I've ever experienced in a sports sim ever. The players just feel like real footballers in this, and EA have captured all the essence of 5-a-side football. I really hope they put the animations and the dribbling, as well as the players models in Fifa 13, because it's no exaggeration that it could again transform that game once more....

I have no idea who Xoar and Mr White are but yea, I can see that. I'm currently having more FUN (hear that Konami
) with this than any other football game I've played this generation.

Have you been able to do any lobbed shots at all?
Hoping EA decide to make this an annual or at least a biennial release.

hi silverstone...one thing i have not really tryed is the lob shots im sure they are there to pull of,do you not think the keepers are even more responsive than fifa 12,and also the impact engine defo has been tweaked even further especially when players are coming together, after playing fifa street im really interested this year to see what they do with fifa 13...Also i hope EA is makeing releaseing the euro game waiting patiently on 1st news....
