And before anyone asks, Simian Mobile Disco - Sleep Deprevation.

I actually think we'll get something very close to the renders. If you look at previous years renders the ingame models ran very closely to them if you zoomed right in in replay mode. Infact in the world cup game players like Deco were stunningly modeled. Seriously, check it out. It's like a pocket-sized version of the already diminuitive man!

So that said, I have no doubts that it will run very close when seen ingame. You don't spend that much on new camera tech to make wallpapers with it!

On forum etiquette you have to feel lucky when you find a place like FSB. You can post your thoughts with likeminded peeps and get a reply within a fwe hours. You don't cop a load of abuse if you missed news from 3minutes ago either. The official forums can drive any man into a rage. Even a docile soul like myself.

Also, I hate it when the forum over there clogs with real life news. "ZOMG MAN UTD SIGN BEBE!". Who cares? It's a Fifa11 forum. EA have a quality "REAL FOOTBALL" forum for that stuff.

Anyways lads, keep on truckin'.

full marks my man, full marks. maybe we could play name that tune each week?

i do feel lucky to have found fsb tbh.there is such a good group of people here.

thanks fella.

unsub823 wrote:Another quality poddy, props again. I completely agree about everything you said concerning the official forum. Mainly the Rubbish section of the forum. Somehow they need to write a little code that moves any thing with "Ratings," "Chicharito," "Hair," etc. in the Subject line to a different section or have super-dedicated mods to do it. There is no need for those threads of speculating on player ratings. Just wait for the game and if your precious Chicharito is rated 78 and you think he should be 84... oh well.

I went to the official forums about a week ago and there was a simple thread started on speculation of who should be on the North American cover. It blew up into an argument about how ugly Rooney is and then progressed into a battle of Brits vs. Yanks about usage of soccer/football. Completely harmless original thread (still would qualify for the Rubbish category, imo) wanting opinions on who should be on the cover, converted to a crap thread of egos.

I didn't find this site until recently and I'm glad I did. Class people around here and if someone isn't, they get told to settle down or get booted. Anyways, I'm excited for your next couple of pods due to the footage we should be getting and your next hands-on impressions. Keep up the good work guys.

i honestly don't know if its the age of the users, or their iq, or what, but for some reason the EA boards breed incoherent nonsense, and its a shame. i found myself yesterday, defending a guy who posted asking for ps2 news, only to be shot down and told what a mug he was because he didn't have a NG console. my blood was literally boiling.

a week and 2 days........... serioulsy pumped for it.

seeing as you decided to slag our stadium off Dave, i'm going to tell you a story.

Around 6 years ago, i stayed in a hotel in manchester. It was the tulip, it was just the other side of the traffic lights from old trafford. i went out for a few beers. came back to the hotel. rather than going in, i wandered over to have a look at the stadium, having never seen a game there, i wanted to see what the all the fuss was about.

at the time, there was some work being done on the perimiter., which made it very easy to get up close and personal, so to speak. so i did what anyone with a belly full of beer and a sneaky hatred/envy of man utd would do, and i took a piss. i pissed all over the side of old trafford that faces the tulip. and i whistled all the way back to the hotel.

the end. :D

Ohhh yes Gamescom is going to lift the lid on everything don't worry about that :) Also in just over a week me and Tom are playing Fifa11 again at the Emirates so there will be loads of impressions and of course a podcast special.

And Adam's on the floor at Gamescom and we'll be getting him on as our first guest 8-) we just need to agree a fee and iron out his image rights

So it should be a really good 2 weeks for FSB and Fifa.

Dude please dont rub it man about going to the emirates i went last year and i have enuff abuse about going the emirates this year from spike chapman if ya know him :P
Cant wait for next week gamescom and pes 2011 ml beta fingers crossed :D

This podcast has become my favourite, mainly as it covers one of my passions: FIFA for next gen. But also, as it is done by people who almost certainly share the same kind of passion as myself. The EA sports podcast is childish at best and only 10% of the podcast actually covers real FIFA game news and comment. (The exception being last week when Rom interviewed Rutter). There were some one off FSB podcasts before FIFA 10 came out which I also really enjoyed so it was a shame when nothing appeared in the feed for such a long time. I'm more of a podcast listener than a website reader so I was really happy when these new episodes started to appear.

The latest episode convinced me I should be taking part in the forums here. I am a member at EA forums and take part in a FIFA league at ps3n.net ; however, it does sound like I will be getting more intelligent discussion and comments right here.

I had actually one thought about doing a FIFA podcast myself, only because I knew there was a huge gap that really needed filled. So far, you guys are doing a great job.

Suggestions for future features:

- Formations and tactics: what works, what doesn't, most favoured, polls done on forums, how much do tactics change a team's behaviour? (has anyone actaully done scientific testing).
- Review & discussion of the various independent FIFA leagues that are around on the web. (e.g. ps3n.net)
- Opening ports to help online play - (will EA change anything here for FIFA 11?)
- Most requested features/options that have been in previous football games that should be in FIFA. (eg, ability to watch two other people play a match and quick pop up comments during gameplay online - both were in PES6)

Keep up the great work!
PES player since ISS. Golden age was PES 5/6 - loved playing on pesrankings as "the mole". Moved to FIFA since next gen. I WANT you to win me back Konami!

Great podcast as usual. Was much funnier then the other 2, I very much enjoyed the mental image of a cartwheeling Gary Neville in a sequin tracksuit. I'm glad you decided to rant about the official ea forums, I've just been on them for a few minutes and ended up wanting to kill myself. It annoys me that these forums aren't more active because I find far more mature, sensible topics to post about.

I would take great pleasure in being an ea mod for a day. Instant bannings all round. :)

Guys thanks for the kind words, all suggestions taken on board. Me and Tom will have our usual podcast discussion in the week and we'll bare in mind all of the comments. There will be some good bits to discuss especially if Gamescom news ramps up early in the week.

There's also another article prepared for Monday covering Be a Goalkeeper which we'll discuss on the podcast.

Roll on Gamescom and the Emirates :D

i'll have my eye on you fella, don't worry about that. i'll have a camera shoved in your face any time we aren't holding pads, so you won't have a chance to take revenge. unless you want it going up on the fsb youtube channel :D

Alex25 and mishmashmole, thanks for your kind words. we are still kind of finding our feet, but we are getting better, we are both very passionate about the fifa franchise, and are just as happy to criticise it as praise it. we will always just be honest and tell it like (we think) it is.

the next two weeks should be huge. seriously huge. fingers crossed.

Just a quick heads up about this weeks podcast guys, due to us recording tonight it won't be up until mid-day Friday. Tom's an awesome editor but even he's going to have to work miracles. :)

Recording later has also allowed us to pick up as much as possible from Gamescom for this week, so it'll all be discussed right up to date.

Next weeks will be HUGE make sure you add any questions to the new thread. You have until Tuesday then it will be locked.

Another quality poddy guys. I seem to recall Rutter saying for Be a Keeper Assisted you would use X to initiate the save and when you moved up to Semi and Manual you would have to use the right stick. So I think it could get quite difficult if you used Manual.

I'm excited for next weeks poddy and your views on the game now. I'm hoping at least one of my questions gets on so I in my sig I can put that I was mentioned on a World Famous Poddy. :D

Also, even though you say that it isn't up to our "dizzying standards," it still sounded really good. You guys are just so damn like-able. The every man's FIFA podcast.

I'm not sure if the PC version will be at the Emirates mate :( its been console only in the past, although they do normally have a range of both PS3 and Xbox.

If it is there we will certainly play it and include a section in next weeks podcast!
