I like them I am a PES convert and Konami being incompetent and releasing nothing about there new PES; made the specualtion unbearable but ultimately brilliant with the impending release.

One thing I did pick up on was SUFF saying there is no 2v2 but if you play BAP - PLAY FRIENDS - and all choose ANY as your position , I regulary play 2v2 woth my mates. so not sure whether SUFF has spent alot of time playing the game. No disrespect SUFF I am a WENB fan from day one . If you or Adam can clear that up cheers. If I heard it wrong sorry, but its there trust me guys.

I don't play FIFA 09 that much online, but Suff does. He didn't mention BAP, so I guess he's right. He didn't want to control just one player, from what I gather.

But you dont, if you choose be a pro and play friends (in the online options), when you have say 4 in a room start the game and everyone chooses ANY as there position you all play as different players on the pitch. Like the old PES 2v2, It isnt an option when you play randoms admittedly but if you can get good online mates its there for the taking.

2v2 was what made PES the game it was and hopefully still will be but FIFA has all the boxes ticked for me this year and after the PODCASt I have a feeling Konami will be playing catch for a long time.

Ah I see. That sounds ace!

Not unless you feel it was perfect in FIFA 09

I'm with you on that, the shooting for me didn't quite feel right. Sometimes I want the players to plant one foot beside the ball, then follow through with other and smash it.

Just listened to the podcast and gotts say once again it was very informative...Thank you.

What you said about EA listening to thier fans is what ist all about. Its fantastic that they are building the game around what thier fans are telling them. 8-)

NDA's are good things. What if they told Adam and Suff something and it turns out they get it out, because it's not really working for release. I believe lot's of stuff is happening now, but we will only see half of that in FIFA10

I dont know if its just me but did nobody else feel Suff didn't seem that impressed by what hear saw? Yes its a very early build and yes he said he's happy, but that was about it, no real excitement by what he has been told or seen. Surely the NDA's don't prevent you getting excited! :)

Ah ha! So shooting has been improved. Brilliant! The rubbish shooting in FIFA has been my major gripe for years.

I sensed this too. EA can't & wouldn't want him to be excited, yet he didn't seem excited at all? Adam sounded excited though and you know Suff gave him the lowdown ;)

Re: FSB Podcast Discussion

Postby Chris Davies » Sun May 10, 2009 10:31 am

The new podcast has been uploaded!

This week's podcast (CLICK HERE TO LISTEN) asks:
Have you played PES2009? What do you think of it? Do you think there's any lessons FIFA 10 could learn from it? Do you think stats have too much of an influence on it or do you think it's better for them to have such a deep impact on the game?

As always we will read the forums between podcasts and all the best discussions will be given a mention, so if you have anything to say on the subject(s) please let us know. If you agree with us, disagree with us, want to correct us on something, or want to add something that's important, tell us and listen out for a mention next time.

Thanks as always.

Good podcast as ever Chris, Agreed with a lot of what you have said about FIFA online.

I have to sadly admit when I come up against an exploiter or a lag cheat I switch off my 360 or PS3 respectively....

Agree with some of your Pro Evo points.... especially the shooting which I myself have complained about in WENB Podcasts.
I promise I wont be condescending in my posts.... I mean well guys :) Roll on PES 2011 and FIFA 11 :)
PES 2010 is my game of choice at the moment. FIFA 10 has been traded in and WC 2010 the AI simply isnt good enough.

The response time in FIFA should not be about how fast you press but when you can pass/shoot. When the leg is not near the ball it's not realistic that a player can pass the ball. I think the response time in FIFa09 is good. in pes you could pres when ever you want even when the leg is behind the other leg in a running motion, not very realistic.
