Re: The FSB Official FIFA 11 Improvements List
My suggestion is that EA implement a two-legged tie game mode into FIFA 12 - which can be played directly from the start menu (as you can a quick match), Online with friends and even possibly in 11vs11.
Both players would pick their teams on start up and would stick with these teams throughout the two ties - playing home & away - with the away goals rule/extra time/penalties all factored in.
Shouldn't be to hard to implement I imagine.

Re: The FSB Official FIFA 11 Improvements List
Area: Virtual Pro Online
Issue: Acheivements / stat awards re-balance
Details: I've lost count of the amount of online virtual pro games that players being the GK, Dc's or just super massive ball hog's in general have ruined. FIFA has a great reward / achievement system but it should always be tied to match ratings in order to get an achievement, so you would have to get >6.8 by the end of the game in order for the achievement to stick.
Area: Virtual Pro Online
Issue: Penalising players for poor play
Details: For online every match where you are rated <5.7 then your virtual pro would lose statistic points. Also your player automatically is rated at 5 on DNF's.
Area: Skill tricks/dribbling/weight distribution/Standing tackles
Issue: Re-balancing needed
Details: There is an article on the main site about skill moves that I sort of agree with but in my opinion it actually needs to go further. The reason so many players resort to skill tricks is that standing tackles are overpowered. It's very difficult to beat a man by simply shifting the direction of ball / the weight of your body at the right time (without the use of R3). As others have stated before me, because there isn't really any weight distribution in the game it makes skipping by a defender improbable. Whereas in real-life wingers use the unbalancing of players to beat their man.
Lets take a look at the extreme end of the dribbling spectrum, Lionel Messi. He beats players not because of tricks but because his balance is superb, and because he touches the football with every stride. Giving him more opportunities to shift its direction than players that do not have the same technical ability.
By introducing a proper weight distribution and player balance systems. Then beating a player by simple use of speed changes and the standard move player stick would become possible. Meaning less effective second player pressing and a more judicious use of standard pressing would be required.
If the above was done then skill moves would need to become less powerful and also more prone to error, the % of players that can successfully execute some of the complex skill moves in a match is actually very very low.
By doing this we'd have something more akin to Real Football, where audacious pieces of skill are revered rather than commonplace.

@Carlos Kevez
I think when you talk about tricks you're absolutely right in general, balance is a big part of Messi's game for example and the way he can shift it in almost impossible directions because of his centre of gravity and skill with the ball.
The one skill R3 trick that I would say comes under natural dribbling is the shoulder drop/feint which is what gets him past players so well most of the time aswell as his off the spot acceleration that just pops from nowhere.
Peter Beardsley was another that just owned the shoulder drop and could just seeming baffle players without really doing anything.
Using that skill (even though I might not be a rainbow flick or such but its still a skill) in game I found it does have that shift in balance and take out slower less balanced defenders.
Balance is something that can be addressed as you say though to a higher standard, it's just some (probably not you) expect Messi to play the game for them without even exploring things such as the analogue sprint or basic skills which don't alll have to be fancy to be effective.
I don't want a game where just because someone who is useless but has Messi can dribble round my team without me being able to do anything about it. Messi has an amazing gift, but people should develop some in game skill to use it, not make him unplayable.

there should be a button that if someone is clean through you should be able to pull his shirt then another button to dive if this happens to you

probably the best and most advanced FIFA I have played ever. I'm loving this game so far, it's a treat and feels like you have to master the dribbling and defending, the game has charm like PES used to have and there's a feeling of the better player having an advantage rather than whoever just picked the better team.

Re: The FSB Official FIFA 11 Improvements List
FIFA series really needs better AI. More runs need to be created by computer players,, specifically horizontal and diagonal runs! I also don't like that in certain areas of the pitch at certain angles I know whether my shot will be a goal or not, in football a goal can come from just about any angle
Tactical defending is good but needs more adjustments, I think you should be able to lock on, to a certain extent to the player with the ball,,, for example in the 2k series they have a jockey L2 button that locks you on to your opponent, but you have to use the analog stick to stay close to him,,, if he moves farther away from you, you lose the lock on him. Something like that I think would be a better idea than what they have now

Yeah agree. Defending is really good for me. Makes sense and takes skill to be good at it.

Re: The FSB Official FIFA 11 Improvements List
Sorry if mentioned, but:
I really like the game, cause it is more tactical, but there is so many issues. First is (manual settings) L1+through pass - too sensitive I think. One small tap makes this pass so long. In FIFA11 it was more precise as you wanted.
Ball physics is nice, however needs some improvements.
I cannot feel the speed difference between slow and very fast player.
I like sliders, but why it cannot affect through pass (with L1 as well)?
Net's sound is horrible - like it is made of metal - are U living in another world EA?
After L1+pass, passing player is going with predicted time of run - let it be more inteligent, sometimes he should stop, but sometimes he should go and stay for a while.
I hate L2+cross button (cross so so high, to Crouch for example). In FIFA11 it was just very high cross, now it is rabona cross almost always. Anyway, it should be the same if I make just long pass from my half - with L2 more high, slower, to Crouch head:) It is so childish.
Players still slide on the pitch.
