Regarding my FIFA experience to date
Yes I have a life, a job, and yes I have woman. I'm soccer player on and off field. I play most sports game, mainly FIFA, 2k11 (the best sports game ever), and PES titles. the Past is gone and FIFA did make a lot of changes within a yrs time but its seems like as though the computer still find ways to score within 5 min of a game out of 10 games vs strong teams. Wrong move EA. Poor teams should struggle at the World Class mode and Legendary mode.
Whilst playing the game, the most annoying thing to me is seeing the computer pass the ball under pressure out of their penalty box to it's centre forward chest, and see him having full control to make turns or pass directly to his teammate. This is not real, it kills the game play. Second, way too much handle balls in this game.
The Biggest problem I have with FIFA over the yrs is not see the computer ever make a back bass to the goalie to rebuild a play. The computer never ever utilizes his centre or wing backs to create plays like moving the ball around. Football about the build up, the short passes, the clock management, and balloon accidentally rolling on the field.
The programming is set on attack mode every time. This is not real. The game of football is played mentally and physically which needs to be shown through the computer's play on the field. Football ball is not just about attacking. I find myself making a lot of passes in my area but yet the computer make 4 passes to enter my 20 yard zone. Which leave me to ask, Why am i doing all the build up and not the computer?
The game has improved a good amount but there is that need for more realism, I say this because my defenders are not smart enough to cut off angles or on breakaway. Every time i make a switch to cover an attacking player, my defender goes into a quick stall which slow him down by one step. If you're an actual soccer player, you would know that half a step can make a difference in front of the goal or to a defender. Please EA, Where is the short game? Not every league plays at the same pass or style either. Come on EA its not just about putting something good on the shelves it's about making classic like 2k11. Look what happened to NBA Live they got comfortable by there name but failed to produce a good game.
Go over board EA, blow us football lovers away and the competition too. Ever thought of putting Zidane or Pele on the cover of your title whilst producing a near complete game? Please, help me, help us. 69 Canadian dollars + 13tax don't come for free. I need to see the mental aspect and the short game of football in FIFA future title. The little things count EA, not long balls and crosses to score goals.
