Yeh the console versions look different, but not drastically so. Its clear the PC version is using FIFA 10 NG as its base.

i haven't experienced with console's fifa 2010
but i think the player faces in the pc ss looks like the one's released of the console version of fifa 2011

Yes true.

Tomorrow everything will be more clearer. EA will officially release these screens, and a press release taking about gameplay specifics for PC.

Friday is time for consoles.

Thanks for the kind words everyone, glad you like what I've been doing. I should be posting a few things up on Sweetpatch for Dave Witts in future - just waiting for this week's FIFA news to blow over so it gets some hits!

And Rebsat - my word you're keen! I don't know whether to be grateful or very, very frightened..! ;)

Cheers

Look forward to reading and linking!

Sweetpatch will be busy this year, what with the PC version bound to get more acclaim than previous years.

Don't like to be a negative nancy, but something tells me that again we won't get a definite info about the PC version. EA are funny like that.

You're probably right, but it will be a case of us having to connect the dots I guess. When news hits tomorrow for PC, then Friday for consoles, if there's a difference then I'm sure we don't need an official statement to figure out the deal.

Key features of "FIFA 11" presented by EA SPORTS:

The engine and next-generation game: Authenticity reached unprecedented in games for personal computers. The diverse style of playing and repertoire moves, and the constant physical struggle for the ball makes the game look really realistic.

Virtual Mode Pro: the ability to play his own career from the ground up. Load your photo, create a player and go the way of football glory, trying to include achievements on the 230 in all game modes! Just like in real football, the form on the pitch must be supported liters of sweat poured on training. Practice solid fragments of games and other licks and then save the best to use them to play during the match.

Solid pieces: Develop your own ways to play the free kicks and corners and then save them to be able to use them during the match. You can assign specific traffic to each of the players involved in the play out!

Arena Training: Before you run out onto the pitch hone individual skills and train teamwork. Select the number of players participating in a training game (11 out of 11, 5 on 5, 5 to 3) and practice patterns of action or set pieces.

Dribble 360 degrees: with the full range of 360 degrees, you can break into every gap in the defense and exploit the slightest error in setting the rival defensive ranks

Game flesh: Getting a field is not only a dribble, and administration. The new system behavior during collisions, the fight for the ball in FIFA 11 is very stable and level, often on the borderline foul. The game has been part of the natural modern football.

Team play: With the improved algorithms, artificial inteligencnji over 50 different patterns to change the position on the pitch with your team partners read the game and try to adjust your position to the shares moving in the right pace.

Game over LAN: FIFA 11 gives you the opportunity to organize tournaments and LAN games with friends without having to connect to EA servers. |

Community football players: Go to easportsfootball.com and join the community of FIFA! You can showcase your player, and search rivals in the global table, and PC gamers to create their own friends list.

Authenticity: Over 30 officially licensed leagues, over 500 teams and over 15 000 players.

Improved Fifa 10. Shame really. I'm happy that its NG, but I don't see any reason not to be the same as consoles.

This year is probably a trial run for PC FIFA (on EA's part). I'm sure both versions will eventually 'sync up' in a few iterations, maybe even next year.

yeah... that he is thinking the right way

Metacritic is an awful way to judge a game, full of reviews from unrespected sites/papers/mags

If u wants to make a movie about Nabulion's, look for French historian before u look for producers
If u wants to make a football game try to find real football fans before u look for programmers

I really have lost respect for many people that claim to be experts, football experts, game experts. Barcelona.

Seriously though i dunno how FIFA can get some of the ratings it does.

Yeh that makes 100% sense if you ask me. EA are importing over the FIFA 10 NG to PC, but improving and tweaking on an engine that is a year old.

Obviously it will come down to PC specs.

I agree, I think it's a huge statement of intent.

I do find it weird though that EA went to all the trouble to get PC engine to NG levels, but then not add the FIFA 11 console features. Surely would have been easier to port over 360 stuff?

Oh well, must have been an investment issue.

It's sad to see that the long-expected "next-gen" PC version will be truncated compared to console counterparts. But looking at what was proposed for the last several years, it's a huge leap forward. I think people who never looked or tried PES even during the stagnation period on PC, will be happy. Others will still have to see the gameplay videos and try out the both demos to make a decision. For me personally, it's the first year when there is at least a choice. No matter how many new features will never see the light on the PC version, it looks (despite the fact that the screens are told to be rendered a bit) and sounds more than decent. There'a a rumor that they intentionally plan to lag behind the console versions to secure the console sales. Whether it's true or not - will probably see in a year, comparing console FIFA12 and FIFA12 PC. For the time being, I'm eager to see the gameplay videos not only for PES but also, for the first time, for FIFA on PC.

All very interesting to hear as a PC gamer. I must admit I am very glad to think there may be two really good football games this year on PC. If the demos live up the hype, maybe I will get them both.

Although I still enjoy a heavily modded PES2010 with a mate, when I tried FIFA10 on the 360 I was blown away by the animations, presentation, licenses, stadiums, commentary, music, and refereeing.

Just a quick question to those who have had chance to test the current build of the game, did anyone notice if there is a chance to play the ball out if there is an injury to either your own player, or a player on the opposing side, and if the computer plays it back to you from the throw in?
