In a way, the main reason I'm somewhat disappointed is that developer EA Canada has the tough part down: the gameplay and controls. But soccer is about so much more than that -- it's about patriotism, atmosphere, and passion. For the inevitable World Cup follow-up, I'd really like to see those elements shine through -- and it wouldn't hurt to not ship with so many bugs, either.

Apparent bugs or not, there is no way in hell that FIFA 10 is a 7.5/10 - 1UP just lost any credibility it had left (which admittedly wasn't much). I do however agree that FIFA still lacks a certain passion and atmosphere on the pitch, and I really hope that is worked on in future FIFA games.

I see you mentioned the 1UP score (7.5/10) because you didn't agree with it and now think they're not credible, but didn't you see the Gamepro score immediately below 1UP's, which gave the game 100/100 Really, which one of those two scores do you think is less credible and less helpful to fans of FIFA in the long run?

ive read that review twice now and i dont get the closing comment about the gaming being ruined by faults off it? does he mean the bugs that are not in the gameplay?

It is a bit hard to understand how 3 PS3 reviewers; Eurogamer Italy, Total Video Games and GamePro could give it 10/10, i mean i dont think ive ever played a 10/10 game before.

Also the reader reviews on Metacritic are a joke, like the dude who says "gameplay is worse(and unchanged from 09?), shooting is worse, i cant score from long range because it always goes to the keeper and when it does go to the corner the keeper saves it, i cant score all of my 1 on 1 finishes anymore with finesse shot" 5/10

On the pitch, its an improvement but the game is hampered by bugs off the pitch (MM etc)

This is Gaming age's definition of an A rated game.

They obviously didn't play Manager Mode, they only had one sentence covering it.

Neither's helpful, because FIFA is not an average game as suggested by the 1UP review, nor is it a game that can be ranked amongst the very best gaming has to offer (which is what's implied by a 10/10 score). But I'd say it's closer to a 10/10 than a 7.5/10, because a perfect score on most review sites doesn't mean it's flawless; it usually means that it's the best the genre has to offer. And, for me, FIFA is currently the best in its genre. But don't think that I believe FIFA 10 is a 10/10 game, because I don't.

I'm a bit confused though. I've played quite a bit of Manager Mode since release, but haven't encountered any bugs or glitches at all. What exactly are these bugs that everyone seems to be referring to?
