FIFA 10 - All Reviews Here
FIFA 10 - All Reviews Here
I thought it'd be good to have one, single thread where all FIFA 10 reviews can be found - and with the release date just 9 days away (in the UK at least), reviews are sure to come in thick and fast.
The first one is finally here, and it's from IGN UK. The score? A pretty spectacular 9.3/10:

So far, so good. Be sure to post more reviews here as they arrive.

FIFA 10 perfects the formula laid down when the series made its debut on the current generation and the end result is a game that’s one of the most refined, polished and compelling takes on the beautiful game – and arguably of any given sport. While this year’s improvements might seem slight on paper, each one is perfectly pitched and works together to create an experience that’s an improvement on last year’s game in every conceivable way; the on-pitch action is superlative, its matches playing out with an authenticity that’s unprecedented, while the numerous modes present near-countless ways to engage with the action. The only question is where EA can take the series next? Improving on this is going to be one hell of a task.

This isn't the full IGN review right? This is just impressions from the tokyo game confrence? Weird that they would have a rating already. Usually the full review is like3-4 pages long, and is based on their playing the game in the IGN studios that was sent to them from EA. I'm expecting a longer review sometime soon. 9.3 is pretty freaking good though!

Re: FIFA 10 - All Reviews Here
As far as I'm aware that is their full review.
They posted a hands-on a few days ago, today they've posted their review. Weird timing but there you go.

Ahhhhh.. I see. 2 different articles.
This one:
http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/102/1027548p1.html
Is actually just a copy of the trascript from the Hands on from the tokyo conference. But strangely enough, this is where the 9.3 rating comes from.
This one: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/102/1028164p1.html
Is the full 2 page review, but doesn't contain an actual score. It only references the other article's score... Hmmm weird.

Re: FIFA 10 - All Reviews Here
Ah, my apologies. I meant to post this link:
http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/102/1028179p1.html
That's the actual review - short, I know, but it does contain the score. Can a member of staff please replace the link in my first post with this one please? Thanks in advance!
Bear in mind that that's the UK review though; the 'main' IGN site will have its own review of FIFA 10.

Differences between the articles at ign.com and uk ign.com. No surprise I suppose!
What I should have said originally: Great Find!! 9.3 Amazing

Re: FIFA 10 - All Reviews Here
A nicely written review from Eurogamer - as per usual (I usually pay attention to that site the most) - and it genuinely sounds as though there's just no stopping FIFA yet again.
I know which football game I'll be buying. Bring on the 2nd!

That eurogamer review is really good, and also Official PlayStation Magazine gave it a 9/10 in last months issue.

So far, Peter Moore's expectations are held:

Eurogamer Italy gave it 10/10

Re: FIFA 10 - All Reviews Here
the 360 version now has 9 reviews with a 92 metacritic score.
ps3 also has a score of 92 with 9 reviews
FIFA 09 ended with 51 360 reviews and 48 PS3 reviews so we really are only at the start.

Re: FIFA 10 - All Reviews Here
i really hope FIFA gets sports game of the year and then hopefully they can put more money into the game itself than advertising, imagine if they put the ratio the other way around and spent twice as much on the game as they do on advertising.

i doesn't really work that way... their marketing costs will always remain high... While it'll help them improve the game, they'll try and enter newer markets with the new money to try and increase their market share... Also the TV ad is becoming a trade mark Fifa marketing tool every year there are a number of stars appearing in a long commercial which costs a lot of money to produce and air..
