PES 2011 Wish-Lists: Sound Effects & Ambience During Matches

Those are some good suggestions Grimm very well thought out i would like to see alot of you wrote down in the game.

Let's hope so, mate. Atmosphere may be just an eye cand (or ear, I guess) but I does add more to the game. I'd play the game mute if they put some of my game play wishes in.

I can say I discovered this forum only now ...
But I'm happy to see my ideas are present in the wish list!

1) Away Supporters chants
they should get back to the past, as their absence is a real downgrade of the game.

Away Supporters Chants are directly related to the number of supporters present in the stadium and the teams playing:

a) Big teams like Italy, England, Juventus, Real Madrid & Man UTD have more supporters following them abroad and in domestic matches.
So the chants "volume" and "intensity" should be higher.

b) Small teams like Albania, Cyprus, Athletic Bilbao, Atalanta or Wigan will have less supporters following them abroad and a just bit more during domestic macthes.

So away supporters chants should be balanced basing on how full is the stadium and where the match is played.

But just a return of this feature would be a good starting point! It's precious like gold, because hearing only home supporters is really annoying.

2) National Anthems for any international team during friendly matches and Tournaments (World Cup and so on).
I recall ISS Pro games played with my friends on PSX and seeying Fifa-kids entering the pitch with National Flags and listening to the National Anthems it was really immrsive sensation.

A Next Gen PES must have this feature if you want people get more immerse into the simulation.

For example how much I'd pay to listen to Russian National Anthem before the match...
as it's my favourite... or Italian one, as I am italian

3) Chant Slots for each team.
So every team in the game will have its own chants (no more restriction to 5)
Would be nice if the slots were not "limited" but infinite, so modding the game adding more teams would give us the chance to add more chants.

Will say again that I love some of the suggestions here, that Liverpool shows the typical atmosphere of an English crowd. But i'd love to hear Spanish/Portuguese/Italian/German/French crowds too. Seriously that could really add to the atmosphere of the game.

The booing, whistling, applause. Basically just giving the crowd a life and soul.

Also away fans must be heard too.

remove the horrible thud sound when passing the ball..
at least make it sound more realistic..it makes me feel sick at the moment..and looking at the released footage of PES 2011 its still there!!
so please do something about it now i mean how long can it take to fix?

Bring back stuff that was present in the older titles of PES:
Flares

Crowd flags, tifos and banners

Attendance stadium settings - I believe this was present in PES 4, was a very realistic addition.

New stuff:
Away chants Let away fans be heard when their team scores a goal, or just bring back the setting of crowd stance : Home, away or neutral.

Specific crowd reactions to goals, fouls, missed chances ect.. Games in the Premiership will have a different sound to ones in Spain's La Liga, France's Ligue 1 and so on.

Have the commentators talk about the rivalry whenever two generally rivals play eachother.

The general atmosphere in PES games have dropped since the current gen, it's almost too dull. On Playstation 1 & 2 I thought the crowd atmosphere was great.

i mean i was playing world cup 2010, and the sound effects are fantastic , went then back to playing pes and oh boy it was literally dull and laughable , Seriously lacked ! .

the commentry seems unintrested and hardly speaks ! [on next gen this should be seriously cleared up]

the crowd = away fans ?? - come on ! where is the sound effects ! , no loud cheers or shouts when theres fouls and free kicks .

For eg. playing as russia on wc 10 , or any other nation you have their particular sound effects !

Konami need to seriously look at this before october ! they should play the EA games for a better idea.

Just kidding on the above, would like to hear real crowd home songs like West Ham's " we're blowing blubbles in the air, we fly so high we touch the sky etc "

" Jose Mourinho " from his supporters.

Tanoy announcements such as " can the person with the red fiesta registration number blah blah blah remove their vechicle," etc and 88th minute man of the match announcement ( over the tanoy )

Half time music being played like " we are the champions " etc


Drums and flares but only in the big games like International games and possible Spanish teams in finals, NOT every match like Chelsea vs Birmingham ( west Midland Blue )

Fans making that " oooooooh " noise as they watch there team at home squander a chance in front of goal.

Fans singing a key players name in your team such as " Rooney" or " Lampard "

These [b]noises along with proper realistic commentary ( sack Trevor Brooking and Peter Brackley they send me to sleep ), tanoy announcements,stories on players past season when game is quiet and annimations from crowd etc will really give PES an atmosphere at least.[/b]

THINGS KONAMI NEED TO DO:

1) Stop commentary sounding like it's being read from a script.
2) Purposley make commentators perhaps stutter, mistake in naming players ( Abbiati I mean Alonso ) something like that not a good eg but you get what im saying
3) Maybe cough sometimes
4) Talk about recent transfer sagas eg ( Barcelona and Fabregas during an Arsenal or Barcelona game ) Or even talk about Terry and Bridge, that'll be intresting
5) Listen to commentary from live games and model PES to that structure. This will bring some life and atmosphere to PES and avoid PES from sounding so boring.

- You should be able to here players calling for the ball to be played to them while or before they are making their runs. E.g. if you are controlling Carrick and Nani is running down the wing past a left back, you should here someone screaming CARRICK!!!
- Also, when the other team is shutting down someone on the ball, supporting players should be heard yelling MAN ON!!

These little sound effects hearing players warn, signal, and interact with one another would be great!!

Please I beg you sack the commentry team, the worst torture ive been under for several years, I cant stand the repetative voices, when your about to have a decent chance you here this annoying shout of POSSIBILITY, Arghhh so painful, there are so many more, like Fire in the hole or some crap like that,

Oh and a major one, they seem to have not been bothered about player names this time round, the alaphabet of name choices is poor, there used to be a lot more names to add, im sure you dont need a licence to have a players name in commentry so give the main first eleven propper commentry, and the rest the choice too choose more names when editing, gutted cos my name was in pes 4 on the PS2 its not been around for a while, (Lazy)

Oh also when a player has made a bad tackle or angered the fans some how, he gets continual boo'ing throughout the game

matches held at dusk. first half of the game, the stadium/pitch is mostly covered in shadows. when second half kicks off, its night time and lights are on

Just saw the video of fans creating the background noise for fans for PES 2011. Please, Seabass for the last time you don't need a license to create the real clubs songs that fans sing, so please for the love of Konami do some research into real songs sang at football stadiums. Eg West Hams " we're blowing bubbles " etc.

It's next-gen and you can't afford to make these mistakes. If you want to be no1 do it before FIFA else well you have yourself to blame.

Also why don't Konami have four commentators. 2 for normal league and exhibition games and then 2 for Champions league only, this should hopfully change the atmosphere a little, but like Asda say " every little helps "

very good sound effects but there is no "noise" as the hosts take on the ball, or how close to the gate and whistling for the loss of goal, or how the opponent will take the ball and the goal is the host ...

That will be nice on the PES series.

Rip this philosophy directly from Fifa as best you can Konami, I don't think anyone will mind a riff job on this one as it's so good in the competition's game.
