PES 2011 Wish-lists: Controls & Tricks

The Trick system has to be completely CHANGED with:

1) Easy to use
2) Reliable control button settings (not like same stick/button for movement and skills)
3) Timing/response ( because tricks are useful only in close situations)

All over this thread, I will be using these abbreviations, have a look

R1- Close control
R2- Sprint
L1- Spare Button
L2- Change player
RS- Right Stick ( FOOT MOVEMENT)
LS- Left Stick ( PLAYER MOVEMENT)
FLICK - here Flick means a touch
Image Image
________________________________________________________________________________________________

ALL THE TRICKS EXPLAINED HERE ARE DONE WITH RIGHT STICK and ITS COMBINATIONS

IMPORTANT CONCEPT PLEASE READ
When a player is controlling the ball, moving the right stick or RS in any direction forward will just flick the ball in that direction, the important thing here to be noted is How long the stick is moved , that far the ball will be moved

________________________________________________________________________________________________

THE BASIC CONTROLS

1) FLICK/PUSH THE BALL IN ANY DIRECTION. (nickname: FLICK)

button config : RIGHT STICK MOVEMENT in any direction.
- when on ball, moving the RS in a direction will move/flick the ball.

2) DRAG THE BALL. (nickname: DRAG)

button config : R1(close control) + RIGHT STICK MOVEMENT in any direction.
- The player will hold the ball in his toe, and in what ever direction we move the stick, he will move the ball.

3) LIFT BALL. (nickname: LIFT)

button config : L1(Spare button) + RIGHT STICK MOVEMENT in any direction.
- The player will lift the ball in any direction.

4) FAKE MOVE. (nickname: FAKE)

button config : L2(change player) + RIGHT STICK MOVEMENT in any direction.
- the player makes a upper body fake

Yeah this is some awesome stuff man, you've been making some serious contributions in the animations thread and others aswell. I just want to see the video to check how the controls would work, seems easy enough when I try it. Take note konami, this is your research all done for you, take the chance and implement what will be a defining characteristic in the series. We are giving heaps of valuable ideas and inocation ideas, now make us smile by giving the same amount of attention and respect in return. Beat FIFA once and for all!!!
Next time play Ronaldinho and Pato you useless tool!!!

I´d love to konami get rid of left pad tricks... because some players do tricks when you just want to change direction. Return to PES 6 trick sistem.... R2 + Lpad (easy and useful)... and the most important thick for me is the return of the trick "square + x" in the way it should be... right now it seems awful and totally unfinished... seems like it lacks some frames in the movement... awful!!

I would just like to see the tricks taken from the L3 analogue stick and put on the R3. It just does not work the way that it currently is I find it very difficult to pull off tricks as i'm also trying to manoeuvre my player with the same button. Take manual passing off the R3 button and allow people to play with complete manual passing as an option instead. The R3 button could then be used as a "trick stick" and would definately allow you to make better use of the feints and tricks instead of pulling them off by accident when using the L3 button.

im all the way with the idea of implementing a hole new "trick system", fifa has taken a lot of ideas of the pes series, why dont do the same?? i mean they even take the old faint (square+X, which disappeared on this pes), the hole D-pad trick system just does not work with this pes due to the increased difficulty on the defensive line, and because its just to hard to use...

To be honest for my self its goin to be no surprise at all if they change completely the hole trick system for the next one, the only question left for me is if they are goin to get it right this time....pretty good contribution with the idea man, cheers and greetings from Mexico

THROW IN CONTROLS

CONCEPT : The ball thrower should be a AI controlled player, while the ball receiver should be able to move around using LS [left stick]

HOW TO GET THE BALL : Just like we have R1 for ball asking (in BAL) same can be applied here ,We need to position the receiver and then ask the ball, so by doing this there is some realism and tactics. so how far/close you go , the thrower will adjust the power and throw it.Thereby chances of losing the ball is less. and attack can be instantly planned.

GOAL KEEPER PASSING CONTROLS
CONCEPT :
Different buttons for passing to a player with POWER BAR and most importantly with DIRECTION.

METHOD :
When the goalkeeper is having the ball he should be able to throw

UNDERARM THROW : pass button.
OVERARM THROW : Through pass button.

Here the same concept of Throw in can also be applied.( but not actually needed, its just another option/choice)

mods, before I could edit the previous post , the edit function vanished. so had to create a new post, please join this with throw in controls :)

I love these control suggestions! Great work. :D
I'm not one of those who do tricks all the time, but I enjoy a feint or a flick here and there throughout the game, just to spice it up. These controls would be incredibly intuitive, and at the same time difficult enough to make the moves an event you would appreciate each time you pulled it off perfectly.
Kind of reminds me of the controls on Skate & Skate2.

Keep up the good work, really hope Konami uses these suggestions on PES 2011, or, as another member wrote, employ you as at least a consultant! :D
