Re: PES 2011 Wish lists: Become a Legend
* Real money: real transfer price and real annual or weekly or monthly salary (I dn knew what it the 5000 in pes 2009 and pes 2010)
* More personal decisions : the player get the ability to determine the salary he want , the shirt number he want to use , the contract period and other contract conditions like sponsorship .. Etc.. And the most important thing: choose the time to announce retirement... I dn get it!! Why should I stop after 35 and am doing very well while another players still until 40 and 41!!
* More action: adding more videos during legend career... like appearing in TV shows and attending the press conference, interviews b4 games and aftergames... press conferences when you transferred to another team, pic only is not enough
* Legend skills and abilities in the beginning: it's one of the most things that makes me mad the funny level of skills and abilities the legend starts with! I understand the I must suffer at the beginning to fell development after, but not like that! The legend starts like he'd never touched a ball in his life. He is always slow, dump, dn know how to pass. How to kick. How to run and how to dribble, come on!! There are player like Messi starts like legends when they were 17th, I dn want to be start like Messi but at least I dn want to start like a clown!

Re: PES 2011 Wish lists: Become a Legend
Become a legend is a fascinating mode for someone who always have been dreaming of becoming a real football player. I came across the following ideas:
• Choosing the category from where you want to start (Under 11, U13, U15, U17, U19 and senior). The younger you begin the more talented you will be.
• Possibilities to start from the street games (favelas, cités, waste pitches etc), get scouted and entering in a football academy or beginning straight away in the categories mentioned above.
• Improving your skills from training (challenges: passes, shoots, cross etc) and going to the gym (mini games such like those of a former funny boxing game). One dilemma could be whether to work the stamina against the power, the speed or the acceleration.
• You will gain your place in the squad via exercises and training games.
• If you good you will have the possibilities of doing some trials.
• When you become professional, you’ll have the choice of spending your money on cars, houses etc...or on the services of agents, dieticians and increase your chances to play for the best teams. The better they are the more exposure you will have and the more expensive they will be.
• On the other side the money you earn decreases, and if you spend more than you earn, there will have consequences on your shape, mental, skills even on the game over.
• Possibilities of being selected for the national team.
• Possibility of being a defender or a goalkeeper.
• Interaction with the manager and the team mates.
Thanks and good luck for the Konami team.

Re: PES 2011 Wish lists: Become a Legend
I enjoy Pes become a legend mode very very much it si the mode i play most on and i think it great but i have some improvments i think can be made to it to make it more enjoyable :
1 I think you should have an agent that you hire with the money you earn as a pro, maybe at first you dont have an agent, but when you make money from salary you can hire one and you pay him every month or so, and the money you have the better the agent is or the more popular the agent is. Agents can do such things like get you boots sonsorship deals with Nike or Adidas or Puma, they should make it at the begining you are only allowed pes boots black or white but the agent can get you Nike or Adidas or Puma.
At the moment you can't choose what club you want to move to but there should be agents that allow you to choose what club you want to go and they be able make the move happen depending on how good you are of course.
2 Training
The training needs improving rather than just inter-squad matches which are so boring, they should have real training like Dribbling training where you have to run through cones and shooting training where someone lays you off and you shoot and the better you do at that the more you improve at shooting and passing training where you are in a small space with 5 other teamates and 2 other teamates are trying to get ball of you. Also instead of long boring inter squad games have maybe 5 a side or 7 a side games and only for 10 minutes only.
3 More manger and media and teamates and fan interraction
I think you should be able to tell the manger to start you in a or to sub you off and when you are club captain you should be able to advice the manager on formation or the team he should put out. There should be media interraction you actually answer questions from the media, there should be a pes newspaper or something and what you say should affect what the other players think of you and that brings me to player interraction where you can have friendships and rivalries with teamates or player from other clubs and i think you have a player approval rating this is how much your team mates approve of you this jugding by how well you are playing and the higher it is the more your team mates pass to you and the lower it the less they pass to you. This should maybe and i mean maybe just apply in game as well for example while you are playing in a match should determine how much they pass to you during that match.
Fans interraction
There should be a fan approval rating like very bad, bad, Okay, good squad player, star player , and absolute Legend and when you become a legend in that club the fans should hold up an oversized club shirt with your number on it or chanting your shirt number or holding up posters with your picture on it. This would be great and would make you feel more special.
4 More movies please
Pes should have more movies:
A movie of you posing for pictures when you going a new team, with you and your new shirt and you holding up a scarf of the club (these are what real football player do when they join new clubs)
A movie of your player having press confrences (pictures aren't enough) and interviews right after match and before an important match.
And i believe when you get subbed of they should ALWAYS show you getting subbed of ( it's anyonning when they just suddenly take you off without you knowing about it) and also they should always show you getting subbed on. If pes can't let you actually do the pre- match warm ups they should at least do a movie of your player warming up and also before you get subbed on they should make a movie of your player getting warmed up on the touch line and while the match is going on you should be able to see your player on the touch line.
5 Cool things
Cool things like at the end of a match if you haven't been subbed off can swap shirts with an opponent at full time and the person is chosen by you or at random, and you can sell the shirt for more money.
Also could they use real currency (they do use it on Master league) but not on Become a legend use £ or $ or euros
I also think that they should make yuo start out as a 16 year old rather than a 17 year old because you have more time to improve and also (not all footballers career begin at the age of 17 some start at the age 16 for example Wayne Rooney he started playing for Everton at the age of 16)
I know right the AI team mates are so bad that needs improving definately, they need to make better passes to you (instead of chiping it to when you're right infront of them) They also need to make better movement and get into better positions it' unbelieveably hard to make an assist and to even win an assist trophy.
I agree totally with you fifa have it on their one a little bar that gives you pints when you are doing well and this could judge your overall match rating
I agree with absolutely everything you said

Tauren wrote:As this mode has recieved no real update in PES2010, I'll just give the same feedback I gave for PES2010.
This mode is by far the most played by myself. I absolutely love the idea of it, but I do find it very frustrating so I have a number of suggestions to fix it. I have mentioned these in the original thread in this section, but I felt this mode could do with in depth discussion.
What I said in the original thread was the following:
Become a Legend
1. If you are supposed to have the potential to become a legend, your stats should not be terrible at the start of the game.
2. It should be easier to increase your stats. Training modes and mini-games should be included so that you can increase your players stats outside of a game situation. It would also allow you to see what your players capabilities are with regards to passing, shooting, crossing, free kicks etc, outside of a match. This would be realistic.
3. There should be more feedback given on how to improve your game – you should be ‘coached’ by your team to help you improve.
4. The AI of the team needs to be dramatically improved.
• Defenders kick to touch far too often and far too quickly.
• Strikers shoot from terrible positions far too often rather than passing the ball as they should do. I understand strikers are selfish in real life too, but the strikers in PES BaL are far too selfish.
• The players don’t react to the loose ball quickly enough, and sometimes ignore the ball completely. This happens a lot when I play a through ball to the overlapping fullback, and call for a return pass. They seem to think that I am calling for them to leave the ball.
5. The transfer system in BaL also needs to be looked it – it is simply not realistic for Arsenal to have Steven Gerrard and Wayne Rooney, terribly unrealistic transfers are too common in BaL.
6. Linked to the AI issues – players and teams simply do not play like they should. I am not sure how to articulate this correctly, but I will try. When playing against Manchester United, Rio Ferdinand will defend with composure and pass the ball out of trouble. When you sign for United, Rio Ferdinand will hoof the ball into touch 9 times out of 10. There is little difference to playing with Fulham and playing with United as the World Class players in your team simply don’t play to that level.
My main issue, by far, is number 6 there - I wouldn't mind the long hard slog to get to the top of the game, if getting there actually ment something. When there is no difference between playing alongside Adam Johnson and playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, it takes away from the feeling of accomplishment when you get your dream move. I don't understand why the AI is dumbed down so much for your own team, this is something that really needs to be fixed. This is linked to point 4, the overall AI of your team is too low - they take too long to pass, too long to cross, and they shoot from terrible, terrible positions all too often.
My second biggest gripe is the way you increase your stats. It is far too limited and unrealistic. Stamina, for example, should increase quite dramatically as you play more games and get older, it should not be limited by how many strength bars you assign to it. The increase in stats should be more dependent on how you play - if I take many shots, shooting should increase. If I pass a lot, passing should increase etc. As an addition to this, it should be possible to play training modes, like those from PES5, to increase your stats in each area, and the stats should increase with the amount of effort I put in. If I spend an hour practising free kicks, this should be reflected in a stats increase. This would aid to vary the BaL experience and make it more fun and engaging. It would also be realistic - players don't improve in real life purely because of the competitive games, they practice in training.
I agree with absolutely everything you said

It would be really cool if after every training session they had a short video of you singing autographs andgetting your pictures taken by the fans and also before a match they should have a short video of you getting off the team bus and maybe before an important match the training session is held in an empty stadium. (All these things just give the mode more realism)

I know they are so bad sometimes they just run the ball out of play under pressure what so ever and when they do have the ball and you ask for a pass they chip it to you when you just want a normal pass on the floor, and they dont make great movement making it hard to give an assist.

To build up stamina your player could go to the gym once in a while (this could also be made injury threat) and pes could make a video of your player doing gym work.
This maybe a little to much to ask
this just a random thought.

Re: PES 2011 Wish lists: Become a Legend
A few more things ive noticed while playing which need looking at, and its all to do with your team mates AI.
Im not sure how to put this, but sometimes they will pass ONLY to you, and other times they ignore you completely. For instance, if I am surrounded by 3 players, cant possibly make anything of it, they pass to me, ignoring the other guy who is wide open, and we lose the ball.
Then, when I am wide open or through on goal, they try a long shot or pass it back, and the chance is gone.
Defenders hoof it out of bounds when under no pressure and a simple pass is available.
Goalkeepers will let in really tame shots that normally they would save.
This is the big one for me, and its really important when playing football, and it makes me wonder if the Konami guys have ever played 11 a side football themselves. The positioning of the team mates.
For instance, in a real game, if a player is out of position because hes just gone on a run to goal, or hes just taken a free kick or whatever, another player will fill his position when the ball is in that area of the pitch. But on PES it doesnt happen, if ive gone on a run to goal and been tackled, they pass it to the CM position where I play, and theres a gaping hole there. The winger, CB, striker, whoever, should be there to fill that gap till I get back.

Re: PES 2011 Wish lists: Become a Legend
Few more ideas, some will have been covered.
The training is boring, which has been said, mini games, dribbling through cones etc, 5 a side, would all be good.
Contracts, not all contracts are 1 year, you should be able to choose length of contract, wage, etc, and this would have an effect on whether the team still wants to sign you. For instance, if youre 19 and wanting 5000 points, theyd lose interest and withdraw the offer.
Transfer fees, I know theyre pointless but since we can gauge how good a player we are by the wage, I think itd be pretty cool to know how much youre worth too.
Loans, if there are lower leagues in PES11 (and there better be!) then you could get sent out on loan for 6 months or so to get match experience. Also, you would get signed by a lower team to start with, rather than starting at Man Utd.
I know the mode is Become a Legend, but not all players are legends.
For every Pele, theres a hundred players nobodies ever heard of. The team should not rely on you so much. If by the steady increase of stats and performances you become legendary, then great, but it shouldnt be the be all and end all of the mode. Some people just want to play for their favourite team or win the Champions League or whatever.

Re: PES 2011 Wish lists: Become a Legend
I have played the Pes 2010 on the nintendo Wii and there is no become a legend mode, I think they should add this mode. It will do no harm I'm sure you can still play it with the wiimote and the nunchucks and the traditional way.
Except from that it is a great game with good graphics well done to konami for that, but could you please add the become a legend to it, this would make it a better game.

Some more things I think can improve the become a legend mode#
- Loans, you should be able to be loaned out to a club of lower ranking to get match expirence if your struggling to get into the first team squad (Of course you should be able to ask for one and reject one if it was offered to you)
- You should be able to deciede how much affection you have for a club so the more affection you have the more chance of them offering you a contract renewal.

Re: PES 2011 Wish lists: Become a Legend
Feature wise, Okay, I have to admit the newer version is better than the last one.
Keep the input simple and pass to build the team work, I get all that (I managed to play seven seasons with a overall of 95). Now I'm going to suggests some deep holes... I'm pretty sure you've all seen Avatar. Imagine if the reflex of your avatar was like when you first start the become a legend mode. I'm gonna have to kiss my avatar goodbye. As you all know, football matches represent wars. You plan, exicute, and look out for your fellow teamates. How am I supposed to do that when my Avatar needs commands three times? Secondly, how am I supposed to score 42 goals in a season with the kind of response? All of the legendary players have nineties response, and my players should also get a chance to build his response that much. Responses should be easier to obtain or higher when we start. Thirdly, the game seems to have a bug of frustrating me on purpose (impossible tackels, bounces, and dribles never following my commands). Lastly, all the refs are b/s. Tackels fly from back to my player and why don't the oposition ever get a red card? The newer version really shows why Japan can never advance any further than the first round after the immense amount of investments in football.
With all of these being said, Become a Legend mode was never finished like the Priuses and should have never been included in the game. The mode is like Pruis' axels; ruins everything.

It would also be realistic - players don't improve in real life purely because of the competitive games, they practice in training.
the craftmanship can kiss my a**. This mode was never finished since the last year. It seems like Konami doesn't even care about the problems from the become a lgend mode, since they know they have the dominate market share, which EA nor 2k can catch up. However, if the stries continue, EA's FIFA and its online seems to have an opportunity, which I think they should not pass.

A way to counter this problem is maybe to have the stats already set on a playing style option e.g a clinical finisher - will have good natural shot accuracy and response, or a speedy player will have good natural pace and acceleration, or a playmaker will have good natural long pass accuracy and short pass accuracy, or a dribbler will have good natural dribbling accuracy and dribbling speed.

- I think that the rating system should rate you on how good you are doing regarding which position you are playing e.g. if you a winger you should be rated on the good runs down the wing and how many successful crosses you make not just how many goals you score
- I think also that if you do tricks and skills you should get good rating for that.
- If you score a hatrick then at the end of the game there should be a clip of you grabbing the ball and taking it into the dressing room
and the ball can represent that hatrick in your individual awards
- Your manager should be able to tell at the end of games way in which you can improve and get better ratings
- You should be able to openly critisise your teammate and your manager in interviews or press confrenece
- I believe that you should also be able to learn new positions it may take some time and you may have to play there in training sessions but its good
