A dictionary, so they can look up the word "major"

  I was wondering what you meant by the 'christmas' comment. Yeah, spot-on. "Major" seems to be over-egging it a bit.

A trilogy of Hitman games are being packaged together for re-release on PlayStation 3, a retailer listing suggests.

The Hitman HD Collection will feature Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman 3: Contracts and Hitman: Blood Money. All three will be presented in high definition.

The compilation, spotted on Italian retailer 16Games, is listed for release on 15th October. That gives gamers around a month to sample Hitman's backstory before Hitman: Absolution arrives on 20th November.

Silent Assassin, Contracts and Blood Money make up the second, third and fourth titles in the series, which directly precede upcoming fifth instalment Absolution.

"Enter a world of crime, sin and greed. Penetrate deeper into the recesses of the mind of Agent 47, the world's deadliest assassin. Remaining anonymous, being quick and totally ruthless: these are the keys to a perfect execution," the retail blurb reads.

"Follow Agent 47 while executing orders on behalf of slum-living criminals or on behalf of the highest summits of power. Nothing is important except the target."

Yeah, I probably went a bit overboard. My excitement is less for the price but the fact that they're going to be on one disc and I can play them on my telly. I'll wait for the price drop though. :D

I wasn't criticising your reaction :D
I just find it bizarre that they've been £7 for god knows how long and now they're €30. Just seems a tad steep

Good way for them to make money though

I dont really use my PC for games, mostly cos its not that good, and also cos I use my PS3 all the time, so its perfect for me.

It is a tad steep, but that is in Euros, and an Italian website, and they get bummed for games in Italy, so it could be about £20 here, which isnt soooo bad

+1. I like to put as little strain on my laptop as humanly possible. As long as it works for the internet I'm fine. :D

Yep PS3 is what I use for mostly everything nowadays; gaming, movies, etc.

@ danny - A lot of people have said the price is steep for this collection, which is true considering I bought Hitman Blood Money off Steam a couple of year back for £4. I'll wait until the price is sub £20.

I don't know why people were worried. The stealth gameplay appears to be very much like the classic games. All I wanted was multiple options to kill the target and it seems they've done that.

I was concerned because the first videos and impressions, it appeared to have turned into a newbie-friendly shoot em up.
Either it had, and they listened to the fans and changed it, or they just didnt represent the proper game from those videos.
Either way, it looks like this is more like what we want, and im looking forward to it.

I think they crapped themselves due to the initial reaction regarding the overuse of action. Which is fair. I mean, why change the core gameplay of such an established and popular franchise just for the sake of it? Just improve the animations, and make it appear as realistic and polished as possible. There's no need to change for the sake of change. Oh well, at least they've remedied it if the trailer above is any indication.

I think thats what happened too. If only more games companies listened to the fans, instead of pretending to listen and then doing their own thing anyway *cough, konami and ea!

I think Konami's case re: PES is more incompetence than a conscious decision to change. Anyway, that's off-topic so... :D
