Been playing this pretty much all day and this amazes me to say but, it's better than Oblivion by some distance

Looks brilliant on PC

Finally sprung for a horse today and spent 4 hours just riding around, listening to the music, gorping at the scenery and having some contacts with bandits and the like :D After completing only 2 quests and putting about 14 hours into this now I feel like I should get on with the main story really

Cop?

The only problems that I'm aware of at the moment are on 360 with regards textures

Nope. I had some jitters last night which was a bit odd but other than that nothing. And that's on ultra settings

I've heard nothing bad, Obviously the graphics would be scaled down from PC but that's about it

Yeah that's fine. Not an issue for me.

I'll be picking this up closer to Christmas. A lot of people who have hitherto never played an RPG - or never really liked them - are loving this game. I think its time to enter the world...of...SKYRIM!!!! :D

Well that's what happened me with Oblivion. Hated RPG's, as I'd only played FF and the like (turn based combat, which i still despise) but Oblivion blew me away. 8-)

And this is even better

I have it on the PS3. Other than a little stuttering on occasion when I enter the menus (which you do a lot in this game) it runs and looks great. The graphics aren't on the level of Uncharted but it's one of those games where scale & story is king.

Sounds great. Looking for a bit of open-world goodness that doesn't pressure me into following a storyline if I don't want to. I've been hammering Uncharted 2 for the past few weeks and it really is magical but sometimes I wish the whole game world of Uncharted 2 was open for exploration. The Tibetan mountainous region in U2 is bloody beautiful even if you put the graphics to one side. The way it's been designed is amazing. I want to go there for real! :D I can see myself enjoying Skyrim because of the few non-spoilery videos I've seen the landscape is vast.
