Re: Uncharted 3!!!
Yeah - the Fallon video was a bit weird. Aside from not being able to play properly (which is understandable as its live TV), trying to make a joke out of the French guy's accent wasn't the most comfortable thing to watch.

Re: Uncharted 3!!!
So the they're saying that this will be a little more "open" than the previous two games
Don't tamper with a winning formula. Upgrade the cosmetic stuff but don't you dare touch the foundation; that which makes it the memorable piece of entertainment it is.
So say the hardcore gamers, and unsurprisingly, Naughty Dog understands. They seem to understand everything the gamer wants. While the industry loves to embrace open-world scenarios that, if done correctly, are often wonderfully received (any new GTA, Red Dead Redemption, Assassin's Creed, etc.), this doesn't necessarily mean that every game would be better if it utilized such a theme. While Uncharted is quite linear, many enjoy that aspect, as it directly contributes to the story-driven, cinematic feel. And don't worry, because Naughty Dog isn't about to alter the formula: in speaking to Eurogamer, studio boss Justin Richmond first said Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception will feel "more open," but then clarified that position:
"We’re not an open-world game…We’re never going to be an open-world game – just because that’s not what we’re interested in making…It’s still up in the air how much gameplay we’re going to let you wander around…It will probably feel more open than the other games have. For sure."
Naughty Dog will keep the focus on the story and character progression, which is exactly what they should do, right? Having a bit more room to maneuver is fine, provided they don't lose sight of their goal...and we seriously doubt this team is about to "lose" anything. If anything, they're only going to become more secure in their vision and continue to fine-tune and hone. November can't get here fast enough.

Re: Uncharted 3!!!
I got the first uncharted after some time, it already was on 'platinum sale' and I liked it. I mean it was good, but nothing I thought to be blown away from. I didn't inform me about the upcoming 'among thieves' game, because I just didn't had the time to play that much in the last year.
... a week ago I thought about uncharted 2 and went out and grabbed it for little money (around 10 euros, don't know what that is in pounds) and holy shite this game is amazing!! I played it through in 3 nights and now I am on my second take searching for all the treasures and stuff..
hmmm for sure the third part will be a 'day-one-buy'

I ordered UC2 before Christmas for £14.00! I get an email on New Years Eve telling me my order's been cancelled! Now every copy is around the £22.00 mark. I'm a bit of tight git so I'm holding out for a reduction in price. I can't wait to play it.

when you get the game:
buy food and drinks for 3 days, let everybody know that you won't be around for some time, make sure you shut down your cellphone, close all windows, turn up the volume and enjoy

Re: Uncharted 3!!!
Looks good. But the facial acting seems to be better in LA Noire.

Uncharted has the best voice acting and some awesome scripting, that clip there is a great scene. Was only 2 minutes long and there were at least 3 places where I laughed out loud. Funny yet menacing. Screw Halo, screw Gears, screw COD, screw Metal Gear (as good as those are) but this Uncharted series is the best hands down. Best acting, most endearing characters, excellent scenes and great story. Chuck in good multiplayer and technical excellence and it's like what more could one want from a game ?

Re: Uncharted 3!!!
The reason the acting is so good is how they film it. They get the people, who are real actors not just voice actors, to actually act out the scene, in those funny blue suits.
So the scene looks and feels real. Its a great way of doing it and after seeing just how well it works in these games, I dont understand why everyone doesnt do it like that.
