I think I'll wait for the GOTY with bundled DLC next year. As much as I'm a fan of Batman, I'll wait for the goodies in one package.

Re: Batman: Arkham City

The six announced Batman: Arkham City skins have been collected and detailed.
ArkhamCity.co.uk did the leg work, sorting the pre-order bonuses into a tidy list with a nifty picture.
UK gamers can get the 1970s Batman skin from ShopTo.net. Nab the Batman Beyond skin from GameStop.co.uk.
The Dark Knight Returns skin is available to all who pre-order the Collector's Edition – from any store. The Animated Series and Earth One skins are so far exclusive to a New Zealand retailer. Will they be sold as DLC post launch? Robin's Red Robin skin is also currently unavailable to UK gamers.
Balls to that. They should be DLC from the start and available from PSN. Although balls to that too - back in the old days they would've been unlockable within the game itself.
I really want the Dark Knight Returns skin (the fat Batman) and the 70's / 80's comics Batman (the blue and grey costume).

3rd one from the left? That's the new costume thats been introduced in the comics. Its the first Batman costume without any pants on the outside (well, first costume that Bruce Wayne has wore).

Yeah 3rd from the left, I like that one most.
They should do one from the movies.

Seems like this baby is getting 10s and 9.5s across the board.
You fellas know me. I'm a Batman fanboy but "one of the greatest games ever" as CV&G has described it in their review? Reviewers getting over-excited as seems to be the norm with high-profile games these days. It might be really good but I expect when the dust has settled, low 9s / high-end 8s to be more accurate.

Yeah but same was said of Uncharted 2 and that went down as the best game this gen on aggregate critically speaking, or pretty close to it, much to a lot of people's pleasant surprise and chagrin I'm sure. Arkham City might be another one of those moments....
Though this game has more of an open world feeling about it ? I'll bet you really feel like Batman in this one....

Being able to run and leap across rooftops and diving and rising in the air is something we'll finally be able to do in AC, so in that respect I'm already sold.

Much like Silent Hill Downpour I wasn't going to buy this game (despite liking Arkham Asylum quite a bit) until I saw the gameplay trailer - once I'd seen that it became a day 1 purchase!
