I'm really looking forward to this but i have this doubt in my mind about it. Looks like every GTA clone (except, obviously, it's by Rockstar)

My main concern is the replay value. Back in the day, GTA had replay value in spades but since GTAIV, i'm not so sure. I've hardly touched GTAIV since i finished the story. I can imagine this being similar

I know what you mean. I reckon these kind of marquee games aren't meant for replayability. Weird as that sounds, I don't think I can put myself through another playthrough of RDR, even though its going to be a year since I played it. Don't get me wrong, I love the game - It's sheer class but there's only so much a person can take, lol.

Loving the RDR MP though - and I normally hate MP. :D

Never even finished RDR because the ending was ruined for me. Anywho, i think all games should have a degree of replayability. GTA3, Vice City and San Andreas for instance remained in my console for months after finishing them (Vice City Less so but still played it a lot). GTAIV was finished and then taking out and never played again. There was nothing really fun to do

Yup me too.

Still, I enjoyed the finale and it still packed an emotional punch despite knowing what happens beforehand. I reckon people are going to look back on RDR in a years to come, and it's going to be held up as one of the pinnacles of gaming IMO. It's such a well-crafted game. GTA4 was meh but quite decent during the first playthrough.

I honestly don't see RDR like that. For my it's good but not that good. Again, it seems to be one of those games where just wasn't really enough to be at between missions.

I reckon I was bowled over by the story. Okay so it's not exactly mind-blowingly original - and the structure of the game is GTA in everything but name (with some added RPG-lite elements) - but I personally feel it's up there with Bioshock 1 for best game of this generation.

@ nani - Yeah, some of the PC folk can produce some fantastic stuff with GTA4. Brucie the bodybuilder is a legend!!!! :D

Haven't played Bioshock but for me, from the games that i've played, Uncharted blows most things out of the water. The only games i'd put up there are Oblivion and MGS4 which is mainly because i love the series so much

http://www.thegamerbuzz.com/l-a-noire-h ... cut-scenes

L.A. Noire has over five hours of in game cut-scenes, according to the British Board of Film Classification passed Rockstar’s latest title with an 18 certificate.

To be exact, the game has five hour and twelve minutes of visual action. This means you’ll have numerous opportunities to enjoy the exciting new technology of motionscan.

The classification board also revealed that the title, “”Contains very strong language, strong violence, sex references and nudity.” I guess this isn’t much of a shock, considering that Rockstar games have always contained mature content.

I think this is going to be epic. Havent been following the progress of the game til now, the way I see it, everything Rockstar make seems to be top notch in quality entertaining gameplay, i see LA Noire as another game to add to the list. :)

3 discs?! That's worse than, well,... two discs.

But i guess that's a good thing, (not for the xbox users of course) sounds like there's plenty of cutscenes, map and what not to discover.

Possible first review: http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/gamesblog/2011/may/13/la-noire-game-review

If you don't want to know even the smallest of details about the plot, its a 5/5.

Yeah I know. I'll get this next year when its around £15.00. As great as it might be, it's one of those "one-off" titles that won't be replayed often.

I did read somewhere each crime has 9 different ways of being solved, i doubt it but if its true that should be some replayability

I will buy this deffo on release day, that's for sure. So far i've avoided to watch the gameplay vids and stuff to play it as un-spoilt as possible. And i think it's actually one of the few full price titles worth the money, replayabilty aside.
