Watching a few gameplay vids of LA Noire on YouTube (nothing spoilery, just bits with Phelps walking or driving with the sound turned off) and I swear to God, there's comments from - presumably - kids saying "This game sucks. Too much talk." or "No multiplayer. Rubbish game" or comments to that effect.

It gets easier, the game just seems to throw you in at the deep end early on.

You are probably doing the very first interview in the game - the only interview which you have to start over if you fail, kinda tutorial thingy or so i guess. I found it annoying too, fortunatly it changes and you don't have to do them again after that point.

Definitely not! When I know that the man did it, instead of asking stupid questions, I just want to shoot him!

Well that sounds like fun, if you can join a police force you carry guns GO FOR IT

Just got promoted to Vice.
Its awesome how Vice is always portrayed as the place to be, flash suits, flash cars, style. I find myself humming Crocketts theme as I drive around 1940s LA!

Re: L.A. Noire
Getting bored of this to be honest.
Without ruining anything, the story I find to be poor, disjointed, and the gameplay I find repetitive and boring.
The acting is good, but thats about it.
Dont get me wrong, I like it, but I dont think its as amazing as people make out. I hope they make another, maybe not set in the 40s, but I hope they make a more interesting and better thought out story, and make the cases more interesting. Everything is more or less the same, go to crime scene, find stuff, talk to someone who inevitably tries to run away, chase him for a set amount of time, catch him, question him, end of case. Repeat.
Best part for me was in Vice. Just felt a bit cooler then. Maybe it was because I was a Vice cop!

Re: L.A. Noire
I like it, but don't feel the urge to finish it immediately- don't know why that is. It was the same as when playing Portal 2, I can only play for one or two missions- after that, I get abit bored with it. I've got a short attention span.
Another issue I have with it, its so linear- the story dictates the gameplay. You can only fist fight or shoot enemies when game lets you. There is no button to press to pull your gun- it'll appear in your hand when needed. not very open world.
If this is an 9, then Mafia 2 is an 8.
